Had my Bronco in for a rather complex warranty repair. Received the vehicle back with an 8" scratch on the hood (I was able to buff it out) that the worker definitely knew he made. Not a huge deal, but worth mentioning to the service manager when they emailed me looking for feedback. No reply came back. Fast forward 24 hours and I notice oil all over my garage floor. The vehicle had been driven several hundred miles in the meantime and lost a significant amount of oil due to a lack of oil pan gasket. Much of the oil was coating the back of the vehicle, so it was losing it quite fast on the highway. Sent another email with pictures to the manager that emailed me first. No reply ever came. Couple more emails. No reply. The final repair seems correct, but now I will always have to wonder if this engine is going to last after the dealer failed me and caused a low oil condition. Ford's solution was to offer free oil changes. That is insufficient. read more

The sales team have always been nice to me, as have all the staff, however we all make bad hires sometimes and as employers we should have the honor to make things right with those wronged. They do not. Long story short is that their service rep thought that it would be acceptable to use my car as his own as I left it with the dealer while I was traveling. He drove it to and from Berwyn every day for the first week I was travelling for work. Cheeky bugger also used the expressway 4 times and my iPass account makes they clear. Also makes it clear that he ran errands in my car not just commuted. In reality I came to know that this rep had been arrested for car theft only a month before. He is on the Chicago PD website. Although not convicted of a crime at the point of writing this, it is certainly not confidence inspiring knowledge. Said employee racked up several hundred miles on my car, used the tollways, that I had to pay for. I have no idea exactly what he could have used my car for. Left some permanent marks on my interior too. I can't understand how stupid he can be. He works there. Cars have GPS and you can see where they are in the app all the time. And I have iPass. It's all kind of obvious. I told the dealership that I wanted them to take back the car. I was and still am just so angry and betrayed. The dealership after having their attorney talk with mine, agreed to give me package of oil changes and tire rotations for the duration of the lease. Not want I wanted. I would have to sue them to get anything. Somewhere they have calculated that for every me who walks out the door, there are three of you who walk in. Don't kid yourself when you walk in, you are not important. In the end I simply decided that it is not worth my time or money to pursue. They know this, and that is what they were making their bank shot hoping for. Again they are professionals at getting their way. I will not go back to this dealership so long as this rep is there. I may never go back. I have lost all trust. Anytime you go to any dealership pay attention. Never drop off without photographing the odometer, and give clear instructions as to what they can and cannot do with your car. I have learned my lessons. I rate the Service Department for repairs from poor to awful. The repairs completed for over $1,000 did not correct the porblem and the actual problem was finally made for $500. Also the transmission fluid was over filled and had to be drained to the proper level. The Service department should have mentioned the rusted-out front subframe (chassis/cradle) as a critical safety issue. The subframe, which supports the engine and front suspension, can fail, leading to loss of steering control. Immediate replacement is recommended. read more

Full Review: We visited Fair Oaks Lincoln on a Tuesday to purchase a 2025 Lincoln Nautilus. Although they didn't have the exact style vehicle in stock we were looking for, they assured us they could acquire one quickly via a dealer trade with an Ohio dealership. After agreeing on the deal, we put down a $6,000 deposit and were told by both Larry (the manager) and our sales associate that the vehicle would be in their hands within one to two days. Given this assurance, and having signed a contract and provided a substantial deposit, we reasonably believed the car was secured and on its way. However, at the end of the week, we received a call stating the deal had fallen through. No accountability--just a reversal on what had been presented to us as a "done deal." What's worse is the dishonesty. At no point were we told that the trade wasn't guaranteed. Instead, we were fed empty promises. This wasn't just poor communication--it felt deceptive. If they had simply been upfront about the risk, we could have made an informed decision. Instead, they overpromised and failed to deliver. When you're purchasing a luxury vehicle--especially a top-of-the-line Black Label--you expect professionalism and a premium level of customer service. Unfortunately, that's not what we received from Fair Oaks Lincoln. Their behavior throughout felt like a textbook example of why people dread dealing with car dealerships. I need to preface this review. I leased a vehicle from here. This review is not about the leasing process or the reliability of the vehicle (dealership cannot control this). This is about the service appointment. I booked my appointment through the Ford app (piece of cake). Arrived 10 minutes early (piece of cake). The lady in the service garage was super friendly. This may be a deal breaker for some, but there is limited seating in the service area. Quite a few people were standing. I feel they could get more tables in since it's very spread out. It could use some TLC. I was not hounded by salespeople and freely wondered around looking at the vehicles for sale. I scheduled an oil change and a tire rotation. I've had plenty of those services done at various other dealerships on various other cars. I expected 1-1.5 hours. It ended up being what I expected and was in and out. My review is based STRICTLY on the service department. The sales department is fantastic. The service department is another matter entirely. I scheduled a mobile service call for a recall on my truck. They blew up my phone with 8 separate messages confirming the appointment. But when the time came and the technician was a "No Show" I called and was told the technician was delayed. I asked to reschedule. But no one informed the technician and he showed up 45 minutes late. No one at Fair Oaks showed me the courtesy of a call. So communication is non-existent at this service department. They lost a customer. There are other Ford dealers near me and one of them will earn my business going forward. If they can't show me the courtesy of a call, then I will go elsewhere. read more

Reasons why NOT to buy a Lincoln Navigator, and from Fair Oaks Lincoln, Naperville, IL. Bought a used 2023 Lincoln Navigator with 6,000 miles out the door $92,000 from Fair Oaks Lincoln, Naperville on 3-1-25. Since the purchase, every week, there will be insane amount of dust (see pictures of 1 week pile up on the dash board). I've gone in 3 times (almost every week, except 2 weekends of spring break). The dealer would clean and cannot find the root cause. Took pulling teeth for them to get me a loaner. I traded in my old Navigator. No issues what so ever. Last weekend 4/18/25, went in and they took a hands off approach and gave me a phone # to call Lincoln for a "Buy Back". I told both Lincoln and the dealership that it is a safety issue driving and big chunks of white specs blowing in my eyes and I almost had 2 near miss accidents. Asked me to come again for the 4th time next week (very repeatable issue, every week, same amount of dust) to qualify for the buy back. 1. Very dissappointed with the dealership's hands off approach in resolving the issue or assisting after a $92,000 out the door purchase, and 2. Even though was a big fan of Lincoln Navigator (hence my 2nd car), I think I will stick with Lexus or Acura (my other cars), if this issue is not resolved. Personally, I think Lincoln and the dealership is handling it in a very dissappointed way or service for their brand name or the dealership. Pictures speaks for themselves. I'm not sure if this is Naperville issue but the sales negotiation process and the level of arrogance is off the charts. Long story short the dealership isn't flexible with MSRP discounts. The black label just isn't that exclusive. It's nice but let's be realistic it's no Mercedes or BMW nor is it a rare unicorn. Easy fix went to another Lincoln Dealer and received a much better offer on my trade-in and the MSRP for the identical vehicle was discounted nearly $7k. My current 36 month payment is the same as the 48 from Fair Oaks. This was ~$11k difference in my favor. Their sales process lacks a closer. Don't settle for buying through FairOaks. There are other dealers out there that are highly motivated and offer better pricing. read more

Last week I saw a car I was interested in on the Fair Oaks Ford website. I contacted them (Friday night) that I was interested in coming in for a test drive. Their website info had a 2014 CTS for $13595. Cars.com had the same car on their website listed for $13595. AutoTrader had the same car on their website listed for $13595. I schedule a test drive for next day w/a print out from their website (Fair Oaks Ford) plus saved details on my phone. I go to Fair Oaks Ford for my scheduled test drive. Oh, the car is not at this dealership, it's down the street at our Lincoln branch office. Ok, dealerships move cars around, just a slight inconvenience. Go to Fair Oaks Lincoln. The salesperson says we just got it in our stock, so it hasn't been cleaned/detailed or inspected yet. Test drive the car I like it. Salesman says you like it? You can buy right now AS IS for $15883 without the detailing and inspection drive away today. (1st red flag) I showed him the printed copy from their dealership's website. No, can't honor that price. There's no way I can sell it to you for that price. But it was listed on your dealership's website. Well, that's not the price anymore. The price increased $2288 overnight and no explanation? (2nd red flag) Salesperson says after we go through the process of detailing and inspection the vehicle, the cost will be even higher so you will have to purchase it today as is at $15883. You can't negotiate? We asked about a manager, the salesperson did not make any effort to go speak with a manager. (3rd red flag) The website also stated that car had No Accident history but then he handed me the Carfax report that stated that it had indeed had one accident reported. I really began to feel uncomfortable about agreeing to a financial exchange and the alarm bells were really going off in my head. I wondered what other 'fees' and extra unpleasant surprises would be thrown in this deal? So, with that I said there is no point in going back and forth. However, this was no ordinary vehicle shipment process...He and his team made sure my car got safely onto a truck bound for Los Angeles, as well as assisted with the unusual requirements required to ship a car by boat from Los Angeles to Oahu. As I said above, the only thing that surpassed this incredible customer service is the deal that I got! Their initial price blew everyone else (IN THE COUNTRY) out of the water, no haggling required. I bought a new Lincoln aviator April 9, 2022. I've been severely disappointed in the fair Oaks Lincoln dealership in Naperville Illinois. Given that this dealership a new state of the art facility and number one and quality and service; they have failed to meet my expectations. My car has had multiple problems from the day of purchase, with sensors, recalls, and lane assist notifications. The car was in service for the first few weeks in May to address my concerns, and they returned it to my home while I was out of town with no one here to receive it. They then took their rental leaving my car in my driveway with the keys inside. Sadly upon returning home I discovered the issues were still unresolved. At this point, I am left with a luxury car that in my opinion appears to be a dud, and no paperwork supporting that any of my concerns have been addressed. I have reached out to the dealership both in person and over the phone multiple times with no response. I have contacted the general manager, the service manager, and my salesperson multiple times. Given that this car was sold to me at a premium I would have expected a better experience and I cannot believe this would have happened at another luxury brand. read more

This is the closest Ford dealer near me, and I pay them a visit every 5k miles for The Works. Affordable oil change, tire rotation and safety inspection. This was one of the WORST buying experiences I could imagine. I strongly recommend going elsewhere. If you plan to buy here, set aside an entire day. We negotiated a deal with Krystal on a new Aviator remotely. We came to an agreement. We signed a Purchase Agreement. We weren't able to pick up the vehicle the next day as we were leaving on vacation. We had to beg to get them to hold it for us for more than 2 days. Only after putting $2000 deposit, they held it. Okay, that's fine. We'll pick it up ASAP. In the meantime, we filled out the credit applications and all requested forms. We called to confirm the time for pick up the day prior. We asked that we would be able to get in and out. We didn't want to spend a lot of time there due to COVID and other plans we had made. We called the morning of (9AM) to let them know we were on our way. When we got there exactly on time (Noon), we waited 3 hours to sign papers. Ridiculous. They sat us in a quiet little room, nothing to do. Never were offered refreshments. Nothing. There were long gaps where the salesman would leave with no indication of what was going on. At 3:10 we sat to sign papers. It took literally 8 minutes. This was totally avoidable. We had to cancel our other plans to accommodate the dealership. As the salesman was stalling, he spoke to us very rudely and was disrespectful. As a buyer, I would expect to be treated as an equal. I don't need to be talked down to like that. Mo needs to learn some manners. His treatment of me alone was reason to never return. I asked to speak with the GM 3 times and no one ever connected us. read more
