    Braised Bean Curd

I love noodles and I love the great variety that Hey Noodles offers. They offer discounts for corporate events and Group outings. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the vibe is very nice. For extra $2 on weekdays, you can order combos (adding an appetizer/dessert and a drink). We ordered "Black Fungus" and "Braised Bean Curd" for appetizer, "Minced Meat Pork with Special Hot Peppers Xiao Mian", "Chicken and Mushroom Noodles" and "Salty Crispy Chicken with Sweet Potato Noodles" for main, and "Brown Sugar Iced Jelly" for dessert. You can choose between egg noodles, rice noodles and sweet potato noodles. You can also choose the level of spice and numbness of your meal; which is so fun. We really enjoyed our noodles and we even had leftovers to enjoy later.

The chicken crispy was flavorful with the perfect crunch--definitely a must-try. The service was quick, and the atmosphere was cozy. I'll definitely be coming back for more!"

We loved our experience here. I got the vegan noodles ($7 - really wow!!) and asked for max spice and zero numbing. I asked got extra green onions, sesame seeds, peanuts and garlic. They're not kidding about the spice. My husband did the same but he had pork ribs noodles. Both of us loved what we had but the spice levels were a bit much even for us. Next time we are going to tone it down a bit. Be careful what you wish for I guess!! But the broth is very flavorful and great quantity. Can't imagine getting extra noodles with it but it's great that they have that option. I loved the greens in it - so I didn't miss any protein in it. Temperature of the food is pretty hot - just the way I like it. Staff is very friendly. Our waitress was very sweet and prompt. At one point, the chef came out and we told him how good everything was. Overall, it's one of our favorite, no-fuss reasonable yet delicious food in an expensive city.

I wasn't sure how well soup noodles would survive through take out, but this turned out to be a fantastic meal! I ordered the house special marinated pork belly noodles & the beef brisket noodles (they were running a BOGO free promo)! The noodles came in a seperate container from the soup so they were not soggy at all and the texture remained chewy. The broth was super flavourful and came with a lot of pickled veggies and marinated egg. They gave a good amount of meat, and boy were the beef brisket tender. I would HIGHLY recommend this one!! Now their spice is no joke. Thank goodness you get to choose your level of spice and numbness (ma la). I opted for less spice for both and it still had a good amount of heat. Definitely bearable but I would suggest no spice/no numbness if you cant handle spicy. Honestly the food was soo good but I couldn't finish cause their portion is quite big!! I recall they had unlimited noodle refill for free when u dine in, and they def still give you a good amount for take out!! They are always running some sort of promo now during covid so I would suggest checking out their website prior to ordering.

Beef brisket rocks. Love the crunchy lettuce that's in the noodle soup, so unique. Not cheap though, after tax and tip it was about $20 for a bowl of noodles. Pricy for Chinatown but overall worth a try for a quick noodle craving.

HEY NOODLES Chinatown location is ideal for noodles where you want to customize the SPICYZ and NUMB level of your broth! The first experience I went for was regular spicy and regular numb level, and the flavour was very plentiful with all of the toppings on top (they add peanuts & cilantro too.) Also HEY NOODLES gives free noodle refills, and that's what make this name brand very special. Seating space, tabling, and decor & atmosphere are all very good. There's no complaints here. The only gripe is probably I wish there were more options to choose from. I recommend this location for repeated visits

Place was busy and seemed understaffed the day we visited. It took about 30min for our food to be ready but the waitress informed us of the wait when we placed our order. The dumplings were nice and crispy. The sesame noodles were not bad; a little plain. The Chongqing noodles were also average. Orders are placed via the app which makes it easy to view all the options (toppings, noodle type and spice level). The food is all served in takeout containers even if you dine in, so nice and clean. Just gave 2 stars because nothing too special about the food and there's a lot of other options in Chinatown that would've been more flavorful/value.

After drooling over the photo of the beef noodles, I suggested this place to my friends for a weekend dinner. I was excited because the refillable noodles and I just wanted hearty broth! The beef sirloin noodles (less spicy) came out pretty quickly after a few minutes and I was ready to dig in. I appreciated that the noodles and broth were both very hot and had an abundant amount of beef and it was delicious. I was too full to ask for and eat any more noodles. I'm also unsure if they handpull their noodles in house but it was still pretty good. The hard boiled egg was a bit powdery (what happens when you over cook it) but still good. Looking back at the photo, they display the noodles with bok choy but instead, they give you lettuce. So consistency is probably better. Service was great, staff were super nice and checked up on us for noodle refills. Suggestions would to serve cold water with ice (especially on a hot summer day)!

Hey Noodles The restaurant was very tidy and nicely decorated. There were not too many people when we visited so we were able to sit comfortably and eat at a leisurely pace. The wait staff was very attentive, quick to replace our water and bring us extra silverware. We only ordered the noodles since the pictures looked to be rather large bowls and it is good that we did that. You have the option to add extra toppings and get extra soup, along with other aspects you could alter to your preference. The bowls of noodles were very reasonably priced and provided more than enough food (we had to get togo boxes). Looking at the food itself however, I personally felt that the broth was very oily and that coupled with the pork belly protein option made for a very greasy experience. You can try to separate some of the oil from the top of the soup but despite that, the soup was still rather rich and salty. A slightly diluted version of the broth may have been a better in my opinion. However, the flavor of the soup, despite being overly flavorful, was well seasoned and made from a nice stock. This restaurant appeals to a variety of people, from those more accustomed to traditional and authentic Chinese flavors, as well as those with tamer palettes. A lot of different flavors are for the more adventurous folks to experiment with. Defintiely be careful with the spiciness levels. We got medium spicy and we could feel our scalp itching. Unless you are really tolerant of spicy foods, be careful! That being said, adhere to the other reviews and try to avoid the Numbing addition that they have. It may make the whole meal an unenjoyable experience

Lamb noodle - little spicy and little numb with extra soup and all toppings

Very comforting food in Chinatown. I think of myself as able to handle spicy, but ordering little spicy is sufficient for me. Good thing I didn't go for regular spicy. Very packed on weekday evening at 8 30pm. There was no two people table so we had to share a four people table with other customers. Sort of feel like beerhall style to share table. Would be weird if I'm eating alone and sharing table with a couple? Unlimited refill for noodle for dine-in order. Wish there's unlimited refill for the soup, it was so good!

Hey Noodles has very reasonable and delicious High Tea Combos from Monday to Friday from 2:30pm to 5:00pm for dine-in only. The lunch combos come with your choice of 3 different appetizers (Tofu Skin/Seaweed/Black Fungus) and hot or cold Honey Pomelo Tea - so good! While eating here, at least 5 different meal delivery companies had people coming in and out of the restaurant for food order pickups for delivery which is great to know for those of us who'd rather stay warm indoors rather than go out in the cold winter...so you can order Hey Noodles from Uber, Skip The Dishes and Foodora. They also are available on Ritual for those of us who like to use the app to preorder your meal-to-go already prepared minutes before walking into this place.

I came here twice when they were having their promotion for 1 dollar noodles. I started with just medium spice but realized that it was not spicy enough! I suspect that the have toned down the spice or North American tastes. Overall, this place is pretty good, the wait was not too bad and the prices not bad for what you get.

I've been wanting to try this noodle place for weeks, and they do not disappoint! I ordered a beef brisket noodle (mild spicy), which came with half an egg, peanuts, cilantro, and pickled vegetables. My boyfriend ordered dry noodles with minced pork (it came with a side of soup). The serving size is quite large, you won't leave feeling hungry!

Sansotei Ramen Review…read more Order: Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen Ambience: Sansotei at union station is more like a quick takeout /food court ramen spot than a sit-down restaurant. It's great if you're grabbing something fast, but the seating area wasn't the cleanest and I had to look around for a table that had been wiped down, which wasn't ideal if I am paying 21$ for a bowl of tonkotsu ramen. Food: I tried the black tonkotsu ramen and it was definitely rich and filling. I liked that you can choose between thick or thin noodles, which is a nice touch. That said, the broth was a bit too rich and salty for my taste and could use something to balance it out, maybe an order or Diet Coke. The meat was good but not as tender as I would like. Sides and Pairing Tip: I'd recommend getting a side of gyoza or even a Diet Coke to help cut through how rich, heavy and salty the ramen feels. Value for Money: It's a good option for a quick meal, but it does feel a little expensive for the experience you're getting for that price. Overall: Great for a fast ramen fix when you're on the go, but maybe not the best choice if you're looking for a more comfortable dine-in experience, or more value for money. 3/5

We decided to walk up to Queen Street to see something we hadn't seen and seemed like a good area with a wide variety of restaurants. I was almost writing this review for the one on Dundas Street, but realized there are a few locations in downtown. Glad I double checked. We walked up along Spadina to Queen, not all the way up to Dundas. We were weighing options, but we were unsure what we wanted and struggled. We almost ended up at another restaurant with live music outside, but we weren't being served and wasn't enthusiastic about their menu. So, we looked at a couple of options. We didn't want Chipotle or Chick Fil-A; I can get that anytime as I live near those in Maryland. Also, I wanted cuisine that was harder to find near where I live. Ultimately, we settled on Mogouyan Hand-Pulled Noodles. After a lot of hunger trying to decide, this ended up being an excellent choice. Server was friendly answering our questions. It was moderately priced. We got their hand-pulled noodles, which was a large bowl, and was delicious with beef, veggies, & plenty of noodles. I also got their Japanese Toki brand whiskey. This was a FINE choice at a reasonable price. We got into some conversation with the server about being from the US and various other topics. This was an excellent experience, highly recommend.

We ordered medium spicy for the papaya salad and it only had a slight kick. I wished the salad portion was more as it was gone pretty quickly. It comes with shrimp chips, pork rinds, and 2 small bundles of rice noodles. The dried shrimp in the salad was very chewy though, which made it a bit less enjoyable. I ended up picking them all out. We ordered spicy for the pad gra prow but it wasn't spicy at all. I think you can ask for the Thai chilis/ Thai chili fish sauce thing on the side but we decided we were fine with no spicy. Unfortunately the crispy pork was not crispy at all and was also very chewy. Overall it was still delicious! The Khao soi mightve honestly been the least favorite, but it was still good. It is on the sweeter side. The egg noodles were cooked al dente and had a nice chew. Sometimes when I get Khao soi it ends up being too heavy or creamy, but the curry for this one was thinner and easy to eat. The shrimp was the best part - super fresh and bouncy. In the end I thought the portions and quality were good. The service was also super nice, and it was impressive to see our waitress cover so many tables. The restrooms were also clean.
