It is a casual family eat in place for rice and noodles. If you are ok for spiciness it is a place to good. There are level of spiciness to choose. I have a bowl of noodle , rice with hald fat and meat pork and deep fried chicken. The noodle sauce is very salty. The rice is good . The deep fried chicken is crispy without much flavour. I enjoy the jelly dessert. If there is dried hawthorn fruit piece it would taste much better. The servers are the best among ambience/ food / services. They are smart with giving bowls for us to share. They also gave extra jelly as I have group of 3. The sweet gave during the bill payment is one of a kind and they are willing to let me get extra of different flavour to taste. Washroom is an independent room . Parking is big outside .

My go-to order is tomato and beef brisket noodle soup. Depending on my mood I'll either get rice noodles or egg noodles. Hey Noodles is like a 3.5 stars resto to me. It's better than Magic Noodles and kinda on par w/ Yunshang Rice Noodles imo. Definitely doesn't clear Deer Garden (I'm biased because I love the peanut and chili soup base there). One thing it DOES have that's nice is unlimited noodle refills. The beef brisket quality is very inconsistent. Most of the time you're given beef tendons instead of actual brisket. They just cut them in brisket-sized pieces. Tbh it is kinda scammy but other times I'll get actual brisket meat. The meat quality is like the one major gripe I have with this place. They give you so little and whatever they do give you is not tender! The tendons are usually chewy af. Broth is decent. I haven't tried the sesame paste/peanut butter sauce and I'm very curious how it is so one of these visits I'll try to convince myself to order it up.

Unlimited noodle and broth refills for as little as $8 at hey noodles! Unfortunately meat is not refillable though I've been told that some people order 5+ bowls of refills!!! I could never. The cheapest bowls are the Xiao Mian Chongqing Street noodles or the original dry noodles for $8. Bowls that come with meat and veggies are typically around $14, but I got the most expensive Meat lovers bowl at $24 comes with a lot of different types of meat and the pork belly was so tender and melts in your mouth I love getting egg noodles for these bowls, but you can choose rice or potato noodles too! Some of their locations are open super late which is great for a midnight food run!

Came on a weekend for lunch with my girlfriend. The restaurant was not too busy considering the rest of the plaza. Ordering is done on phone. Ordered a Meat Soup Noodle bowl, Classic Dry noodle, and Popcorn Chicken. Can choose your own spice and numbing levels, and type of noodles. The meat noodle had quite a lot of meat, and a variety of different animals/cuts. I couldn't even really tell them all apart, but I know at least there was beef brisket+tendon, braised pork belly, pork rib(?) and lamb rib(?). The dry noodles with the pork and peas were very tasty, a bit more flavourful than the soup noodle. And came with a bowl of a light shrimpy broth. Overall pretty good. The soup noodle was a bit more expensive, but not bad considering the size and how much you get.

This was our first visit. We came here around 1pm in a Saturday afternoon because we were craving for noodles. I've heard good things about this noodle chain so I was excited to try it. My son and I had the pork belly egg noodle. The portions are very generous and the flavour was good. My hubby had the Chongqing minced pork with peas and egg noodles. Our youngest had plain egg noodle. Xiaomian noodle dine in only offer unlimited noodles. You can select the spicy level - we all went with mild. We also ordered the chicken feet, steam fry pork and chive dumplings and popcorn chicken (white meat). The customer service was very good. There was one server and she was very nice and helpful. The food was pretty good overall. I did wish the broth was hotter. There is ample parking and the plaza has a ton of food options.

Hey noodles decided to partner up with an app this year as advertised on Instagram for $1 noodles for their 9th anniversary celebration. I think they need to do better in terms of customer experience. I get that the app is a third party company they partnered with but you should ensure it runs smoothly so customers can use it and actually buy the coupon to use for your $1 noodles. It's unfortunate we didn't end up eating here staff wasn't able to go above and beyond to honour the offer. Oh wells. We ended up eating something else.

Got the tomato and pork rib noodle. It was hot and fresh, but the food was just average. The tomato flavor was lacking, with very few tomato pieces. I got mild spice and mild numbing - note this was a bit too much for me and they provided a clear soup to dilute the flavor which was appropriate response. I got egg noodle which was slightly thick and it did not seems home made. Service was quick. I got this at 10pm and it came quickly which was appreciated but I would not come here for a meal I want to slowly enjoy.

I want to like your hey noods. But I can't bring myself away from clear broth beef noodles and my poor stomach gets wrenched every time some mala stuff hits. Tried a dry and a soup noodle and to my disdain, overpriced around $15 bowls and you could get similar qualities at the food court at pmall. Will not return unfortunately, and as we start buckling down our wallets in this transitory period I will start weeding out the non-performers.

Got the Sesame Dry Noodles with all the toppings and they are good. I liked how you can choose the different spice and numb levels. Service was quick and you can order with QR code on the table. It was really busy and lots of people were coming in too. But turnaround time is quick.

Came here for the first time with a party of 4 for dinner! We all ordered different noodle dishes to try. I got the Dry Sesame Noodles with cucumber, cabbage and lettuce, but the other 3 ordered noodle soup. I was really impressed by the amount of veggies they gave, and the portion of noodles was also a lot (I took a third of it home at the end). I really missed going to one of my favourite places with this dish, and Hey Noodles really satisfied my craving for it! Besides the dry noodles, my friends really enjoyed their dishes too. They were pleased by the amount of meat they got! I would recommend this place because the price is very reasonable and the portions are really good.

Hey Noodles! Where are the noodles?! If you want my brief synopsis of my first visit to Hey Noodles, it's there in the first paragraph. It's not a good sign when the name has noodles and you don't get any! I am slow to the braised protein trend. Seeing that I am always in this area for Starbucks and Popeye's Chicken, and walk past this eatery when I'm picking up food from Pizza Hut, I decided to give Hey Noodles a try. The first time, I ordered takeout through Uber Eats and got the following: - Fresh watermelon juice - Yummy braised chicken with regular egg noodles - Salted crispy chicken bites With the yummy braised chicken, I got to order the spicy and numbness levels. I tend to not go crazy with them when I first order from a place. I also got the cilantro removed. My order was ready pretty fast. I was running errands that day. I pulled into the plaza, parked, and walked over to the restaurant. I looked at all the signs posted on the doors. There were a lot of them. The first one said to wear a mask. Check! The next sign had in Chinese that if you buy a watermelon drink, you get one for free. This offer wasn't mentioned in English on the sign. I didn't see this offer on Uber Eats, either. I was thrilled to get a free drink, though. I then grew tired of looking at all the signs and simply walked in. When I got inside, I talked to a woman. I said my name and that I was picking up an Uber Eats order. She asked for the order number, which I showed on my phone. All was well. My two bags of goodies were on the table. I thanked her, got my goods, headed to my car, and drove home. Let's start with the yummy braised chicken. I was pleased to see star anise when I took the lid off the container. There were generous chunks of chicken, onion, potatoes, mushrooms, and bell peppers. The onions were more on the raw side, which I don't enjoy in a braised dish. I'd rather have them cooked longer and get soft like the other ingredients. I took all the onion chunks out. Everything else was flavourful and done well. There was one large slice of ginger, which I also took out. I had ordered regular egg noodles. They were missing. In the container that should have had egg noodles, I got rice. Ugh! The broth for my nonexistent noodles accompanied my order. All I saw were dried shrimp, seaweed, and egg in the broth looking back at me, also wondering where the noodles were. I made the best of my screwed-up order. I got a plate, put down my steamed rice, and poured the yummy braised chicken on top. It was filling. I still wanted noodles, though. I wasn't in the mood for rice, which was the main reason why I went with noodles. The watermelon juice was the best! It was refreshing and tasted fresh. The salted crispy chicken bites were good. They were packed in a small rectangular box. I was hoping to get more for $8. They weren't super crispy or salty, but were yummy. The box soaked up a good portion of the oil. The second time I ordered from here, I did it through Hey Noodles's site. I got watermelon juice. The site has issues. By the time that I got to the store to pick up my order, the young man who was there said that they had run out of watermelon juice. So, how come the site doesn't tell you immediately that it's out of stock? I basically wasn't impressed that I drove over to find out that it was out of watermelon juice. I also had to ask for a refund. Additionally, I asked that the guy communicate with the folks responsible for the ordering site to improve upon this feature of letting customers know when items are unavailable. I don't think that he cared. Same goes for the owner who was sitting there. It's a shame. The watermelon juice is so good here when it is available. I won't be coming back anytime soon. I may try a different location and see if my order is completed correctly. Maybe I'll call this location Hey Rice, as it's more fitting to my experience. (203)

This has become one of our must visit stops when coming to Toronto. We really like the noodles here because they are so flavorful. You can specify the level of not only the spice, but also the numbing peppers. Spicy and regular numbing is just perfect for me. I usually order the lamb noodles. They don't hold back on the lamb! And its really tender. Apparently the noodles have unlimited refills too, so even though its $17 for a bowl you do get quite a lot. Open till midnight, which is convenient.

    Chongqing street noodles
    Joy H.

Came here for their $1 noodle promo. I've been a fan of their Chongqing noodles in general, so this was great! I really like their noodle texture and very flavourful broth. It comes with roasted peanuts and pickles veggies, along with a few other fragrant toppings. The noodles are also unlimited refills! Just know that the plain Chongqing street noodles do not include any meat items (you can add them on). I will say the staff aren't necessarily the talkative type and may come off as blunt or rude, but perhaps it's more of a cultural understanding on my part that I know they don't mean to be rude--it just sort of comes off that way. Some things may be lost in translation or misunderstood because they primarily speak Mandarin, so try to be clear and concise when using English. The owner of the place is very cute though, you can usually see her around! It seems like she has a really nice family atmosphere with her staff, you can frequently hear them joking around with each other (in Mandarin). When we left, she yelled across the restaurant to bid us farewell and to come again for their special! They've taken adequate measures to ensure social distancing while dining in. They have their menu and mobile ordering to tables using QR codes, in addition to glass/plastic dividers between tables. There's also currently a $1.50 per person COVID-19 fee for non-reusable bowls and cutlery + water bottles.

Honestly can't ask for more and this is why it gets jam packed easily at lunch time. Good news is that people are usually eat-and-go without sticking around for long. So even with the crowd, you might be able to get a seat in 10~15 min during the busiest time. Alternatively, quite a bit of people simply call-in for takeout's and Uber. It was really oily, though the noodles were really nice and chewy. I found the pool of oil quite difficult to get past though. Next we got the classic beef noodles. We went for the flat, soft noodles which were great. As they state though, it gets really soft and mushy after a bit, so I recommend maybe sticking with the regular chewy noodles. The beef was soft and the radish was sweet. The soup base was comforting in a way but also very heavily salty. I couldn't tell if there was just a lot of MSG in there, but I couldn't sip on the soup much. We also ordered the shan xin bao, which is a fried soup dumpling of sorts. The breading was really thick and the soup was quite sweet. Not really the taste we were use to. We also got the pig ear and cucumbers cold dish. This was absolutely swimming in oil as well. They chop up black bean in there for flavour and it just added a really bitter taste. We didn't end up touching most of this, opting to bring it home, rinse it, and re-season it ourselves instead so the food wouldn't be wasted. All in all, the service is nice. I think the baked rice could be worth a try, but there's a lot of great noodle options in the area I personally prefer. As always, give it a try! They have a lot of great reviews on Yelp, so it potentially just doesn't suit my preferences.

The dish comes with a thick flat super chewy ribbon noodle. It doesn't look like a big portion, but the noodles never seem to end! We particularly loved the aromatic garlicy spicy oil, which was full of umami and slightly sweet. It coated the noodles perfectly without making it seem like a noodle soup. The spice doesn't hit you at first, but sure enough it comes back with a vengeance. Be cautious if you decide to up the spice levels! It comes with quite a bit of seafood - scallops, baby abalone and crawfish tails. We've never really had crawfish tails in Chinese cuisine, so this was quite interesting. Make sure to suck on the tail before you de-shell to really get all the umami, and then dip the tail back into the spicy oil for a burst of flavour. Surprisingly, the chewy texture of the seafood complemented the noodles really well. Customer service here is impeccable. We saw nearby tables with phone holders, which we suspect you can request if you want to eat and watch your videos in peace. The staff also hand out individually packaged plastic bibs and gloves to avoid the oil from slashing onto your clothes and will top up your napkin supply without asking. The restaurant has a couple of tables but noticeably, some long benches that run throughout. We were sat in the middle, and were asked kindly by the Owner to move to the end of the table once a bigger party arrived. We had no issues with this, but the Owner decided to give us free pop and apologized for the inconvenience. So nice! Little surprise - there's a Beef Noodle Special after 8:30pm on Monday-Thursday. "Authentic hand pulled noodles in slow-simmered beef bone broth". Sounds like music to my ears - can't wait to come back and try this one out.
