    Mango

I finally tried Hey Yogurt in the newest plaza in koreatown. They specialize in yogurt drinks similar to Yomie's. I kept it simple and got one of their most popular staples, the mango one. They do such a great job seamlessly mixing the mango and yogurt together. Theres mango flavoring along the edges of the cup and mango chunks at the bottom. The yogurt itself is sweet, a bit tart, and smooth. Together with the mango, it has a nice refreshing aspect. They have a big variety of fruit flavors available, even exotic ones like dragon fruit and lychee. They also have yogurt Bingsu drinks available.

This place was highly recommend by some locals so I decided to try it out while visiting! I got their top drink, the yogurt mango. It has a smoothie consistency but with fresh fruit. You can really taste the quality. I got their full sweet but maybe I'll do less sweet next time; it wasn't tooooo sweet though. The service was good, the cashiers were both very friendly and cute! The ambiance is like a typical boba/ drinks shop; not a lot of seating. I went on a weekday and there was no line.

I love the drinks here! I love how fresh and cool this is, the perfect summer drink. The fruit is also so fresh and perfectly sweet. My go-to is the mango strawberry drink. They have machines for ordering so haven't talked to the employees much but they are sweet.

I've never had a yogurt drink before that I liked, and this one surprised me! I got the strawberry and was delighted to find they were fresh and not fresh frozen. The fresh fruit really added to the taste and I really enjoyed my drink. Packaging was high quality from the straws to the cup. Ignore the people complaining about the wait time. Did we wait nearly 2 hours? Yes, but we also went to nearby stores while we waited, knowing the promotion and way the store went viral would increase the wait time. The staff was working their butts off in there and I hope they got good rest and tips. I imagine it'll remain busy while not quite as ridiculous now that the specials are over.

I've been seeing this place on my social media and so I knew I had to stop by when traveling to Dallas and boy am I glad I did. This is located in a new complex in the Carrollton area and is a cozy little store with a bit of inside seating. When we went, there wasn't a lot of people there and so we were able to place an order at the kiosk very quickly. I have to say every fruit combination they offered looked amazing and it was honestly very hard for me to pick. We ended up, settling on the passionfruit yogurt and a mixed combination of strawberry mango. I also ended up getting the full sweetness on both which, for someone who doesn't like to sour of yogurt I think this was the best option! The drink is very refreshing and because the fruit pieces are fresh you get a little bit of a chew with every sip!! I really do like the tanginess of the yogurt and the drink does have a little bit of thickness to it, which is very nice. I was pleasantly very pleased with this place and is now on my top three list of drinks to get when I'm in the Carrollton area!

Exceptional customer service! My friend and I placed our drink order online at 8:28 PM last week, but when we arrived at 8:55 PM, they couldn't find it in their system. They easily could have turned us away, especially since they had already started closing and cleaning for the night. Instead, they kindly explained that the order hadn't come through on their end, invited us to reorder, and still made our drinks without hesitation. Sometimes it's not just about how good the drink tastes, it's the care and service behind it that truly makes you want to come back.

    Lychee, Strawberry & Mango

Hey Yogurt has been such a hype for the past few weeks and I finally got to try it. It wasn't too packed on the weekend and the drinks came out super quick. We got the Lychee Yogurt and the Strawberry Mango Yogurt. The lychee one was not too sweet, but it was a little bit bland. The strawberry mango one was really good but the mango was a little bit sour (mango is probably out of season). We tried the mango one by itself before but we definitely prefer the mango and strawberry combination more. However, the drinks taste just like the flavored yogurt you could get at any Asian groceries store, and those are so much cheaper to get...

Quick update : first few days of opening have been a frenzy. Be prepared to wait over an hour for your drink. Once you know this and go prepared, things will be a lot better. My mom and I went on a Friday afternoon after their grand opening and ordered one drink (BOGO) and it took exactly one hour and fifteen minutes. Was it still worth it? Yes! :D We came for their grand opening event and boy were they busy! But even though they were busy the employees kept everything running SO smoothly and drinks were being made to order while the line kept steadily moving. I am thoroughly impressed!! Alright now for the drinks .. they were all so good ~~ We got the grape, passionfruit mango, mango, green tea, and purple rice. THEY. WERE. ALL. AMAZING. I can't say enough good things about this place. The inside was super clean and brightly lit while the drinks were so pretty and the cups were super cute. To top things off the employees were super duper nice and professional. Can't wait to visit again soon!!

Decided to try the hype out. Service was definitely amazing, the workers were super friendly. You order from a kiosk and the menu has cute pictures. I ordered a strawberry mango yogurt drink. The fruit was fresh and the perfect sweetness. The yogurt itself is like drinking a smoothie. Really refreshing drink. Would get it again if I was in the mood for a smoothie.

Tried Hey Yogurt and got the lychee yogurt drink (lowest sweetness). It has real lychee, tastes super fresh, and the sweetness level was perfect. Since it's yogurt-based, it's more like a smoothie and actually filling. Def don't get it right after a meal hah. Ordering at the kiosk was quick and easy. Excited to try the mango strawberry or matcha next time!

Great yogurt shop! I really liked all the options they had and want to try them all. Was here during their opening week when they had bogo and the wait was pretty long but expected. The drinks were great, we got the peach yogurt and matcha + red bean. peach was good, matcha was good too, i normally like red bean even in milk teas but i don't think it goes well w/ yogurt xx. The graphics and visuals for the cup holder/bags were really cute tho and i like the extra effort put into them. Also, service was great, the guy calling out the orders was extremely friendly and welcoming.

This is what we need in DFW! - A new drink shop (but not boba tea or coffee shop, which we already have so many) with many different yummy, refreshing yogurt drinks. We came twice during the BOGO Grand Opening Days and they were super super busy after ordering the drinks, we had to wait around 1hr and 30 mins for picking up. Strawberry mango and mango dragon fruit are both yummy and the sweetness is just right (we did 100%). The owner (or manager) was very nice and polite.

    Packed inside an insulated bag
    Rome K.

This is a very cute shop & the guy at the counter is probably the most polite person we've ever encountered. Not only did he offer us a bag for our other items but he kindly put all my drinks in an insulated bag so I could carry it home to my family without worrying about the TX heat melting it. The yogurt itself is delicious. Very light and not super sweet. It's not as thick as one would think, more like a smoothie texture. The fruits all compliment it well, you can't go wrong with any choice. The matcha & strawberry was a dreamy combination. The matcha is very subtle so if you want that extra matcha-bold taste I would maybe ask them to go heavier, but over all it was worth the drive & our friends at the counter makes us want to keep going back :)

I think the strawberry mango is my tried and true bc it tastes the most balanced with the fresh fruit/syrup ratio!

As we were waiting, we noticed that 4-5 tables were done eating and paid their bills. All got up and left, the staff quickly cleaned the tables. The cleaned tables were empty for another 15 minutes. The lady that took our names down took a while to call the next customers. Seems like we were waiting just to wait...she sat one party down and waited another 10 minute to sit the next group... anyways, after we waited for a good 40 minutes, we were finally called to be seated. Sat down and was immediately served with water and took our order down. Time for the food review: Chicken popcorn - nice crisp and texture, but lacking flavor. Felt like it needed a dipping sauce. Pork lard rice - disappointing, bland Pork intestine with green mustard - this dish was okay.. Crispy garlic salted fish - fish was nicely fried and flavor was good. Probably the best dish so far Crispy pork chop - this is the reason why we came here.. we wanted to find a dish like May Ice cream. Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment. The pork chop was extremely salted. From the skin to the pork itself. Walnut shrimp - this dish was foul. Who puts sprinkles on the side?! Tasted like I was eating an ice cream shop. The shrimp was also dry. Overall, not worth going and waiting. Food was lacking.

Came during the soft opening in September 2025 with excited expectations based on what we've heard, hoping to find a new go to Taiwanese spot. Unfortunately we didn't find what we were looking for. I admit this was the soft opening and things may improve, and for their sake I hope they do. Biggest issues for us were lack of flavor in the meat and multiple proteins being overcooked. The sauces they used had the flavor but it seems like the meat just wasn't given the time to marinate because the meat itself was bland. That coupled with proteins being a bit dry from being overcooked and you don't have a good combo. If they can tweak their prep process to let the meat marinate then it would solve most of the problems though. The best dish was the fried pork chop rice by far. A bit on the sweeter side so it just depends on how you like it. The bok choy it came with was basically raw though had more crunch than the pork chop. Service was also a mixed bag. The server was super nice and helped give us recs but it just seemed like they were still getting the hang of working in a restaurant. A glass of water got some food in it so the server took it away but they never brought us a new one. Again, soft opening so I give that some grace, but food has to be more on point for a new restaurant to make it. So all in all, there are definitely some kinks to work through for them. Normally I wouldn't write a review for soft opening but given that there are old reviews here plus food quality missed the mark more than I think it should've, I think people on Yelp should get a heads up.

Watching the taiyaki being prepared adds to the experience since the fish shaped pastries come out warm and freshly cooked, creating that contrast between hot pastry and cold soft serve that defines the shop's appeal. The signature Ahboong is the main reason to visit, combining creamy soft serve with a freshly made taiyaki cone. The soft serve has a light, smooth texture that feels less heavy than traditional ice cream, and there are plenty of flavors to mix and match. Matcha, ube, cookies and cream, and other rotating options give plenty of choices, while fillings like custard, red bean, and Nutella add an extra layer of sweetness. The taiyaki itself is one of the highlights, with a slightly crisp exterior and a fluffy inside that pairs really well with the ice cream. The warm pastry melting slightly with the soft serve makes the whole dessert feel more complete and satisfying. Service is usually quick despite the popularity of the shop. The ordering process is simple, and the fresh taiyaki preparation makes the wait feel worthwhile. Even when there is a crowd, the shop moves efficiently, and the desserts come together quickly once ordered. The staff handles the steady flow well, and the overall experience feels smooth from ordering to eating. Somisomi feels like a dessert spot built around the experience as much as the food. It is a great place for a casual sweet treat, a late night dessert run, or something fun to share with friends. The combination of warm taiyaki, creamy soft serve, and creative flavors makes it one of those places that feels different from the usual ice cream stop, offering a dessert that is as enjoyable to watch being made as it is to eat.

If you're dining in the area, you can choose to skip the restaurant dessert and come here. On my most recent visit, I ended up eating outside due to comfort issues. My Overall Rating - 3 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Heads up! The shopping strip is very busy, and parking can be a challenge. In the front there are many crêpes behind glass cases. It's like a wall of food art. Inside you'll find an open space with a few tables, tons of dark wood, an open kitchen, but on my most recent visit, it was uncomfortably warm. It's was pretty outside (early March), and there were a couple of benches, so I sat outside. 1/2 Star. Service - I think this is the new trend, but you now order through a kiosk. Now, there a lot of positives, because you can take your time and scroll through the selections. But for me, there's something about interacting with someone and asking for opinions. On the other hand, it allows the staff to craft your crêpe in the open, which is cool to watch. 1/2 Star. Food - Full Disclosure - I went with my daughter so I'm basing this review on her opinion. She went with the Chocolate Banana. Now, it was loaded, and the folks at T-Swirl Crêpe do not skimp on the ingredients. Each crêpe is carefully crafted from fresh batter. My daughter gave her approval. When I asked her how did her Chocolate and Banana crêpe taste? "Like chocolate and banana". Thumbs up. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. While the very warm temperature inside made it too uncomfortable for me to stay inside to watch the staff construct the crêpes, my previous visits have been great. I just hope the A/C kicks in when the Texas summer arrives. 1 Star.
