Brie and apple grilled cheese with tomato basil dipping sauce

Heyday is a maintained staple on our upscale dining list. I also love that it's not far from home and that they've added mocktails to the menu. My sons and husband love a cherry bomb and I rotate my options out. I've never been disappointed by a mocktail here. Heck, I've never been disappointed by any appetizer or entree for that matter either. They've got half off appetizers on weekdays from 2-6pm and on our last family visit we ordered FIVE of them (deviled egg cupcakes, pork belly, arpe.... those ball things, calamari, and wontons). The red sauce comes with the ball things and calamari needed salt or sugar or both--it was a bit flat, but didn't make a huge difference to our meals. Our server on our last visit was Nad and he was attentive balanced with giving us space--he showed up when we needed him and had excellent timing. One thing I want to point out is that because we love this place so much, we've gone there for birthdays and anniversaries. There's something in me that loves pairing a memorable occasion with a favorite place. However I DO NOT recommend this place for a special event. We've tried for at least our three last special events, always mentioning the event, and nothing special happens. I don't need free ice cream, but there's not even an acknowledgment or "thank you for celebrating with us." Great place for a date night or girls night, but not for a special celebration.

Stopped by Heyday for nightcap cocktails and it was industrial yet warm and welcoming inside. The service was excellent as well and the craft cocktails were made perfectly. The smoky old fashioned has a hint of peach and nice smokiness to it. The Pinky Pony Club was SO delicious and super cute with the silhouette dust of the pinky pony. My friend got the blind melon and it looked absolutely perfect for a warm summer night but sadly I'm allergic to melons so couldn't try it. Would love to try the food here next time.

Ambiance is the big winner here! Very cool decor, comfy seating and friendly staff. Great music--it was all 60's-70's oldies the afternoon we went. Drinks were good--love the options. Very eclectic choices. I had the old fashioned and my son had the cherry bomb. The pork belly was ok. It's always chewier than I expect but I liked the bulgogi sauce. Grilled Romain is not on the menu in most places but it's seriously one of my favorites. So freaking tasty.

Fun place to hangout in Celina downtown. The drinks were great! Loved the fennel salad here and the deviled eggs. The place was so packed for a week day, nice and cozy inside. We were here for girls night and it was fun!

Great experience and amazing service! My family and I came in late on a Saturday night, and everything was perfect. The food was absolutely amazing, and the drinks were just as good. I've heard they get really busy during brunch (which makes sense!), but even at night the vibe was great. My mom and dad absolutely love this place, and it was such a nice experience coming in later with the family -- good music, a DJ, and just a really fun, relaxed atmosphere.

I had high hopes and expectations based on reviews but it was just average. Not bad at all, but not a destination restaurant by any means. Service was ok, deviled eggs ok, calamari order was very small and my steak ordered rare was medium rare not close to rare. Very mid, not a destination restaurant at all.

Came in here on a whim to try something new.. and I'm so happy I did! This is a fantastic brunch spot for delicious eats and strong drinks. We ordered: Crab cake benedict Pork belly benedict Blueberry pancake Sage Against the Machine Dream Machine Dr. Feel Good There are so many specialty cocktails on the menu, I already have my drink order for the next visit mentally planned. :) Service was spot-on, we were well taken care of. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated - my kind of place for a date! Can't wait to return to try out the dinner menu!

Such a cute and modern place! The drinks are amazing, the food comes out hot and fresh. Everything we ordered was tasty and we didn't leave any crumbs. Our super stand outs were the Pork Belly Bites, Chicken Marmalade Sandwich (which pairs amazing with the chipotle ranch), and the poke bowl! We heard the brunch menu is to die for so we definitely will be back to try that menu as well. Thanks for an amazing evening!

Nice place that's located downtown. Be mindful of what time you go as this place can get quite busy. They do offer reservations, which I recommend doing unless you can snag a place at the bar. We had a large group, so we opted for earlier reservations. We ordered several different things, starting with the charcuterie board, calamari, French fries, and the glazed pork belly. The charcuterie board was simple and came with pickled onions (my fav) and a whipped herb spread that paired well with the pita and crackers. The calamari was crispy and came with two sauces; a chipotle ranch and a marinara. The marinara was quite chunky, though the chipotle ranch was a nice addition. The glazed pork belly was absolutely delicious; perfectly caramelized with a rich, melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. The sweet-savory glaze added just the right amount of depth and balance that kept you coming back for more. The entrees consisted of several salads; house and the grilled romaine, the American burger, chimichurri steak quesadilla, and fish and chips. The salads were fine and what was expected. The burger however was ok for what it was; didn't have a ton of flavor. The steak quesadilla was alright as well; a tad greasy, but wished the steak had a tad more flavor. The fish and chips were probably the best entree of the night. The portion was huge with the fish being golden and crispy on the outside, while tender and flaky on the inside. The chips were interesting; they were flat steak fry size, but perfectly cooked and crispy. The fish paired well with the zesty tartar sauce. Overall, the food was fine, with the pork belly and fish and chips being surprisingly better than expected. The food was reasonably priced for the portion size. I found it interesting though that the fries accompanying other meals were the usual type of fries, while the "chips" were a completely different type of fry. It was a busy night with the cinco de mayo event taking place, but the service was friendly and attentive, making our first visit even better. Definitely a place I see myself visiting again.

Braydon (sorry if not the correct spelling) was a spectacular server. Would ask to be in his section again. Five of us sent on Sunday for brunch. The poached eggs for the benedicts were way over cooked. We pointed it out to the server and they made it right for us. The food was amazing. Steak tacos, carnitas benedicts and strawberry filled french toast. Can't wait to go back.

Amazing service Wil and his team are awesome So is Michael Food is sooooo good Dallas in the burbs!!! Mixology in the burbs!!! Definitely try!!! You won't be disappointed!!!

TLDR: The drinks are phenomenal and the food is fantastic. Heyday has showed up exceptionally in every way since the day they opened in Downtown Celina. A tremendous amount of care and selection has been put into the decor, the staff, the service, the food and the drinks. Whether you're a local or just visiting, you'll absolutely walk away satisfied and looking forward to your next experience here. The Food: They have a solid menu offering and seasonal rotations. I've tried dinner, lunch and now their brunch. Anything from an absolutely amazing goat filet (which I don't think they have up any more), the Ahi Wonton Tower, tenderloin tacos, Creamy Dill Salmon, Blackberry & Brie Grilled Cheese or Crab Cake Benedict. It's divine. The Drinks: Let's start with my favorite. Sage Against The Machine hand crafted with the utmost of style and perfection with Hibiscus Infused Fords Gin, Cream de Violette, Orgeat, Pineapple, Citrus, Sage. The Espresso Martini is another fav. But seriously, just ask the ultra talented bar staff at Heyday and they'll make magic happen. There's so much to take in and takeaway here. Just go and thank me later.

We were visiting family and wanted to try something different. The 1st place we went to was way too busy so we looked for another option and lucked up on this gem. I loved the decor and ambiance. My Mom had the crab cake benidict and she said it was loaded with crab and no fillers she loved it. I have the classic breakfast with biscuits. I enjoyed everything and those jams had me wanting more. They should jar them up and sell them. We look forward to going back for dinner next time we visit.

We had a lot of fun here! I forgot to take pictures but we got the wings (lemon pepper & Korean bbq) and they were really tasty with a nice crisp to the skin. The sweet heat pizza was LOADED! so naturally it is a must order! We also got the sliders but I didn't have any. Bf really liked it though and said he'd get it again. I think my favourite was the truffle fries! Hand cut, heavy sprinkle of parm and rosemary while tossed in white truffle oil... soooo yummy! Best fries in dfw! I would say the beers are just ok as somebody who enjoys IPAS. The food came out and we had a few issues with my steak being well done instead of medium and another members fries not being hot. They were able rectify the situation quickly for us and the new items came out the correct way. My steak was decent and you can tell the fries are freshly cut. My husband had the bbq brisket quesadilla and he enjoyed that and said it was a nice size. My toddler had the kids sliders which she seemed to like. My mom had the voodoo avocado club. It was a big sandwich and she said it was tasty. My dad went with the chicky chicky bang bang which came with sweet potato fry's and he said it was delicious. This was right before their holiday drinks were dropping so then brought over a grinch mimosa for our table to try. It was ok but they were looking for feedback on what could be done better with the drink. After giving the feedback. Preston who is the general manager brought over a few other holiday cocktails for us to try. I will say they were really delicious. Everyone should make it to voodoo this holiday season to give these drinks a try.

We love downtown McKinney and so many establishments have that southern charm, friendly service, and just love people. We always bring in a group of paying patrons. Early on we felt there was a clickish vibe, but never thought anything about it. We make friends everywhere, since we are travelers . Last few months we noticed a shift, bartender ruder, lack of service, the regulars shifting their gaze as if something was wrong. Last night ended that for us, and I'm sure they will be thrilled. Our bonus son chose to come here for his celebratory event. We invited a variety of people we knew, local talents, professionals, and family. Hateful comments about having a few balloons and party hats and how "you BETTER clean all that UP, I'm not doing it." We were treated with disdain. No service, each person had to get our own menu when we were ready to order, , and silverware after food was served, no one took our drink orders, when we went to the bar-our tabs were closed after each drink order. The bartender, Chevon, (who is always there) was rude and ugly to our whole group and to those she didn't even know was in our group. The new DJ, (Shawn) skipped over our friend twice. Chevron (bartender) who didn't know the person she was speaking to was my sister, said "I hate that guy, all he sings is rock songs." I mean... it karaoke. And that guy she's talking about has been bringing a group of people here for over a year. So carry on the "high school drama" there are a ton of places in McKinney that are lovely and welcoming. When you are hateful to singers, doctors, nurses, business owners, and veterans... that news will travel fast. And as rude and ugly as this review is, it's not near as rude or ugly as we were treated, individually and as a group. If you are gonna be bias to people, you don't need to be serving them. It's sad, because I know Karen and what Spoons means to her and her family. I hope they clean house and start over in the back. FYI (Shawn was a really nice DJ, he was so kind to people celebrating others.) But other than that, I wouldn't recommend The Garage for any new Collin County resident, any bridal party, bachelor party, or group celebrating anything... you can DM me and I'll give you a personal list of plenty of places to go. Many of them walking distance.
