Don't love the price (which I think went up recently), but EVERYTHING is more expensive these days. I honestly think a basic facial at HeyDay is about the same as most other places. And to be honest, I've never experienced what the other reviews are talking about: my facials are always super detailed with multiple steps here. Maybe an independent aesthetician would do more (or spa somewhere more suburban with cheaper rent) at a lower price, but in the city, I rarely see anything lower. That being said, I do think some of the add-ons are steep so I just stick with a basic facial. I came to this location for the first time today and easily found street parking. I'm sure weekends or after work it'll be harder, but not lunchtime on a weekday. Daphne did my facial and I was very impressed by her. She was very thorough with extractions, gave good advice, didn't push any products/enhancements, and she noticed things about my skin other aestheticians haven't. She did an amazing job, used a multitude of products, and was very professional. I was super relaxed throughout and satisfied with the end result. I'll definitely book with her again. Do show up early to ensure they can give you the full treatment because that 10 minute window does impact how they can time your treatment. read more

Left feeling baffled and slightly irritated so I'm writing this in hopes that others are smarter than me and choose to read the reviews of this place before they go. Before I start, I do want to acknowledge that the facialist was lovely and this is more of a review of the business as a whole. I received a gift card for Heyday for my birthday and that combined with the $30 off special, I was excited to get a relaxing facial and even opted for a couple enhancements: Dermaplaning & Light Therapy. My expectation was to receive the base facial that was 50 minutes (that I was paying full price for) and then have the add ons which were an additional $130 on top of the base price for a facial. That seems like a reasonable expectation. Especially considering the fact that as I added these enhancements while I booked online, there was NO mention of anything else. *I've included screenshots of the booking process and numbered them so you know the order* What I later found out, much too late, is that Heyday charges you the full price for your 50-minute facial and charges you for the add ons but they choose to squeeze those add ons all into the 50 minute facial that you booked. So my "relaxing facial" turned out to be exactly: cleansing, dermaplaning, about 30 seconds of extractions, Light Therapy, and then finishing products. The total cost for that was $275. You tip on top of that. It was only when I asked about the facial details as I was paying that I was informed that regardless of how many add-ons you get, it will always be a 50 minute facial. So as I was extremely confused, I scoured their website to find ANY sign of a disclaimer. Lo and behold its only mention is buried in the FAQs.. Not on the actual enhancement page, not during the booking process, only in the FAQs which doesn't even have an "enhancements" as a category. You have to go "Facials" to the vague "During" to "What type of enhancements do you offer"? to find that disclaimer saying they won't increase your time if you buy add ons. *screenshots also provided of my expedition to find the disclaimer* To Heyday: First question. And maybe the most obvious one. Why are you not clearly stating in BOLD that you are charging a base price for a 50-minute facial that the customer will not experience fully in all its glory if they pay even MORE for the enhancements? Second question. Enhancements suggest that the price you are paying for them are worth it because they ENHANCE the base experience that you booked. But instead, these "enhancements" are in lieu of the base facial, correct? And lastly. Why would ANYONE reference the FAQs of "What type of enhancements do you offer?" when you already list them with descriptors on your base site? Putting it in the FAQs instead of the main web page or clearly stated in the booking process is incredibly misleading and borderline predatory. And just to give you all an additional heads up on the environment that you will be receiving your facial in. Be prepared to be sat in a fully lit room with loud indie rock playing on the speakers. It is not a cozy environment. It is not a relaxing environment. If you are looking for that, I'm begging you to not make the mistake I did, and choose elsewhere. read more

Ellie was AMAZING! I'm very picky about my facials and she was perfect. My skin looks amazing after the facial and peel.

I wanted sooo badly to like this place. The location is great and the space is clean. But when I tell you they will do nothing and charge you $200, it's for real. First of all, any dermatologist will tell you your neck and chest should be part of a facial as the skin is extremely delicate and therefore prone to wrinkles and sun damage. Every facial I've ever had treats this area. Heyday will only treat your face above the chin. For the first 20 minutes, they cleanse your face... then if you opt to pay an extra $80 for one treatment, they have to go get the machine, set it up, etc. eating into your time. Then some moisturizer, no massage. And also it's loud in there so you will hear a lot of noise. I was the opposite of relaxed as I think it's so unfair they are getting away with charging people these prices for a service you could do yourself at home. Definitely skip. read more

I've been going here on and off for years and today was my last time. I hit insane traffic but still managed to get there within the 10 min grace period upon which I was very rudely informed that they wouldn't be able to do my gua sha treatment - which was the whole reason I came in. The facial really just consisted of facial sprays, oils, an extraction and facial massage but it just wasn't what it used to be and most of the time i felt like I just had a wet towel on my face. My issue is that 1. If your grace period isn't a buffer for time and you can't actually accommodate a treatment in 40 mins, just say that before I book OR don't say you have a grace period. And 2. It's not cute to serve attitude the moment I walk in the door after I tried my best to get there on time after unexpected traffic issues. I'm very disappointed and will not be going here anymore as it seems to be a waste of time and money and i ended up leaving more stressed than when I came in. read more

I don't normally write reviews but this didn't right with me. I have been meaning to check out this place and saw their first time special so decided to try it out. The facial was fine, pretty standard. But I didn't like how she added the high frequency and LED light without telling me it wasn't a part of the standard facial. I feel like it should be standard practice to ask someone if they want to enhance their facial and letting them know it's an extra charge. She didnt tell me and when I checked out I was surprised since I pretty much went because I wanted to take advantage of the first time special. Also the enchantments are pretty pricey. I go to another spot where I get a hydrafacial and it includes both of those no extra charge. But that's whatever, every place is different. It really didn't sit right with me that she did the additions without telling me it was extra. I mentioned that to the front person and she didn't care to remedy either. I stopped coming to Heyday a few years ago because of the absurd and draconian policies, lack of professionalism by the booking staff and inconvenient location with zero parking. Today, I was in a bind and they had an available slot. I told the receptionist when I booked I was exactly 20 minutes away for the appointment in 20 minutes and I'd do my best but with parking I could be a few minutes late. She said no problem. I called along the way to keep them posted and told them I'd be there but a minute or two past the 10 minute grace period. When I arrived 3 minutes after the grace period they refused to take me for my appointment despite me telling them I'm I would be willing to do a shorter session with less services. What is the logic here other than to prove some point and flex muscles to turn people away? I drove thirty minutes just to validate my decision that this is not a business I want to give my money to. Liz was the aesthetician who refused to take me, FYI. Not sure if the name of the incompetent receptionist. read more

I had the best first experience here. As someone in their 30s who never locked down a skincare routine and feels overwhelmed by information overload, this was exactly what I was looking for. Debbie listened and gave me tips on my very inconsistent routine. She also didn't shame me when I talked about picking, recommended a patch with micropoints that helps heal the picks/cystic breakouts faster, and that I can press when I feel like picking and get sensory feedback. She got that it's about satisfying a sensory compulsion and not about hurting myself on purpose. I bit my nails since childhood. Managed to stop doing that in my early 20s and the impulse just shifted over to skin picking. Luckily she said it hasn't damaged my skin! She hadn't heard of the toner I use (the brand is meow meow tweet, it smells incredible) so she looked it up right there and told me what she thought about the ingredients (and why they're great and to keep using it!) No one tried to sell me a line of products or a whole new skin routine. It really felt like everyone was trying to work WITH me, with my skin struggles, with my current routine, not overhaul to what's trendy, popular or what works for them. The people at the front desk were also super sweet and commiserated with me over their own picking struggles. I left with one new product (a creamy cleanser), soft hydrated skin and a simple doable routine that only uses a few products, most of which I already have at home. I can see why this environment might not be for everyone but I've always personally felt uncomfortable when spaces are too quiet. This felt like a comfy, communal space where you can hear your neighbors' chatter bouncing through the high ceilings and sunlight, but still feel enclosed in a private space of your own. Street parking is really tough to find on weekends, try to get there early if you can. read more

Not worth the price. If they want it to be a great place as an "intro" to facials "teach" or have an express service it should be priced as such around $80 or $90 not $150 without tip. They don't include massage or using product on your neck or collar bone which ive never experienced before in a facial. It felt incredibly bare bones and the extractions weren't even done by hand. I clicked on the 'perfer less talking' and i didn't get any explanation of what was being used on my skin which... odd. 80$ for additions that wont add to the total time of service is unfathomable. just drive the extra 15 to k-town and pay less for a better service and more time. that's what ill be doing. read more

I had a membership for a few months and will say that the estheticians Daphne and Corinne were both awesome, super knowledgeable, and gave a great facial experience. The environment is very welcoming and all the staff were great (hence the two stars). My biggest gripe and why I decided to cancel my membership is that you pay quite a bit for a facial, but, like others have mentioned, if you want anything other than a cleanse/mask and extractions it costs extra. They call them facial enhancements and are $50-$80 on top of the facial price (members get 50% off). For things like hydro wand or microdermabrasion I kind of understand costing a little extra (not $80 worth) ,but don't think light therapy, gua sha, a basic peel mask, or micro current should cost so much extra on top of the $145 non member facial price (honestly not even worth the member price). So like other reviewers have said, I don't think the facial was worth the price point for what you get. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I started seeing Krystie last September. At the time my melasma/hyperpigmentation was so bad I thought I was going to need laser treatment. Less than a year later, it's practically gone thanks to Krystie and both her treatment and product recommendations. Also my skin in general is so much healthier and smoother. I'm in my late 30's and definitely feel like Heyday is saving me from going the botox route. Not only do I love Krystie, but also the front desk team, especially Lauren who is so sweet and helpful. They always listen to my needs and help me find solutions, and now I feel like I finally have a great skincare regiment. The whole experience is always a delight, it's just great energy in there. Also I really appreciate the thought they put into the products they carry. I've always been very careful about my skincare ingredients, and they carry a lot of the more conscious, natural leaning brands I've always loved and many others they've introduced me to. I've seen other reviews complain about the price point, which I get and am fortunate I've been able to afford. I see it as an investment because we only get one skin and the price is comparable to how much people I know spend on botox services and upkeep. All this to say, I LOVE THIS PLACE! read more

As Mallory mentioned 8 months ago, the price doesn't justify the facial services. The main reason of my visit was to literally extract one stubborn blackhead among the other things included in a basic facial and IT WAS NOT DONE. I paid a total of $300+! $114 for a first timer facial, $50 LED light 15% tip + the products. While it's always great to be pampered, It was not worth it. The receptionist told me she would email me a receipt but I kept checking my email and never got it. I should've asked for one in person. $300+ for a face that rarely breaks out is ridiculous. I guess, we live and learn. More -- Upon walking in, the receptionist was very unwelcoming. I had to make an effort to break the silence. When another aesthetician came into the lobby, she was more friendly towards her than a potential reoccurring customer. Savannah was really sweet and her as an individual was fine. I saw a complaint about her below and luckily, my facial lasted the entire 50 minutes. I mentioned to her how hesitant I have been to get a facial due to my sensitive skin and she was very receptive of my concerns and made me feel comfortable. A HUGE factor for the three stars, as mentioned above. I mainly came for one thing: it wasn't done. I pointed it out nicely that it wasn't done after the 50 min and she said it would come off in a few hours by itself. False. It did not. tldr: Savannah as an individual was great. The receptionist could've been more hospitable and the pricing doesn't justify the service. Too pricey for just a double cleanse, vitamin c and SPF. Also it got very loud (with chatter) for about 15 min during the facia. I gave them 3 stars because although I'm probably never going back, I left without any irritations but i'm greatly disappointed bc she had ONE MAIN JOB - to get rid of a stubborn blackhead. read more

I did the $70 first-timer facial and would recommend it to people who need to build a skincare routine and don't have super difficult/particular skin. My skin is pretty easy (minimal breakouts but very dry) and Daphne was fabulous about answering all my questions and suggesting products for me as well as building a custom three step skincare routine with me. That was everything I was hoping to get out of the experience! If you already have a solid routine or are looking to do something more extensive (for example for acne treatments) I suggest you look into more in-depth facials elsewhere, it will be more expensive but not much more than this half off deal with $40 add-ons. That being said I would not have been happy if I paid the normal $140 amount for this, but for $70 as an educational experience to get me started on a routine for my skin-type it was great! read more

If I'm being honest, I have never taken as many selfies as I did after leaving this facial. My skin looked FLAWLESS! This spa location is set up similarly to The Now in Silverlake, or other massage places in the area. You walk into a small lobby with products, check in at the counter, and are walked back to your own curtained area for your facial with your esthetician. Parking is easy on the side streets! The vibe here is very upbeat, modern and positive. The music is loud-ish and cool - Alabama shakes, Leon Bridges, that kind of thing. It feels less tranquil and more energizing, which is important to note if you're looking for a more traditional spa experience. My facialist was so sweet, complimenting my skin rather than pushing products on me. I'd come back anytime! read more

Jumped through so many hoops last Friday to get an appointment rescheduled here because they weren't answering their phones, including calling around to other Hey Day locations. Apparently they've been down and haven't been fixed. My appointment was for 10:20am today and the phones are STILL down. They're located on Sunset Blvd and only have street parking, and today, like most days, Sunset only had one open lane through several busy intersections. A friend who had the same appointment time as me let them know I was running a little late because of that. As I was opening the door, I receive a text saying I had to be reschedule due to their 10 minute policy, when I in-fact walked in at 10:30. Both workers who were there just looked at me like deer caught in headlights and could only tell me they couldn't take me because they were fully booked. As a mom, it took a whole lot for me to get myself here today, and while there were factors beyond my control (and theirs) that affected my arrival, I would have appreciated a little more grace, understanding, and flexibility. I DID *in fact* make it at the 10 minute mark. I wasn't any more late than their "policy" allows, but I was turned away and will now be taking my business elsewhere (omw to Face Haus). read more

I really wanted to give this place a chance as I had heard super mixed reviews from friends. As someone that gets facials often. I wanted to try Heyday for a horrid breakout I had, so I used their new customer deal - it's about 145 then $31 dollars off, which I thought was great. Jump to the end of the session, and my total was 360 including tip all in under 50 minutes and my skin honestly just came out feeling the same. On top of the basic facial (which at this point I feel like consists of very little), I was recommended two treatments Microdermabrasion and nano infusion each for an additional 80 dollars (an $160 in addition ). Moreover, the one problem I came in for, was not resolved. I think if you are new to facials and skincare this might be a good starting point since you are talked through your problem areas and certain products to use/avoid, but if you are a facial veteran.... your money can be spent better elsewhere. Another aspect that I didn't love about the facial compared to other luxury spots was that they only touched your face, not your neck or decolletage and the lights were incredibly bright. In addition, I think the constant badgering of their membership and their promos during the facial really takes away from the "supposed" relaxing experience. All in all, it pains me to write this because all of the workers (front desk and esthetician) were so so sweet! While my esthetician was super friendly, incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and hospitable, I just really think cons outweigh the pros here. read more

He said it was one of the best experiences he's had and Alexandria was so good, professional and lovely to talk to. We couldn't be happier with the entire experience. If you don't have a package-account, the add-ons can certainly add up. I've seen some scathing reviews about HeyDay in regard to this; I can totally understand the frustration. You, as a customer, must commit to a package & only *then* do the add-on treatments come at quite the steep discount. Then again, once a month for a facial? Count me in! I contacted Customer Service today - waiting for a response. I'm still angry and shocked about how they run their business. Like another reviewer stated - and what I learned through first-hand experience last week - is that the facial itself consists of very little. A cleanse. A mask. A buzzing extraction tool for one minute that did nothing. And then apparently what I thought was the customized facial plan was made up of two "Enhancements". The words extra, add-on, enhancement or anything similar was not used to me at any time. She just explained what she was going to do for my facial. Then at check-out, boy was I surprised. If I received two enhancements, the actual facial itself is literally a face wash and some gel mask rubbed on. No real extractions, no massage. I did not understand. The receptionist was lovely to all the regulars coming and going and lovely to me until I was visibly upset and confused about an extra $80 owed when noooo oooone said anything about an extra service or charge to me at any time that I could have simple declined. Her response was "if it's really that big of an issue for you, I can comp one of the enhancements" in a rude tone. Oh cool, insinuate that I'm feigning like I can't afford an extra $80 someone sneaked on me. A ) Missing the point B) An extra $80 is a huge deal to me, thank you very much. Waiting to hear customer service's response. The prices here are INSANE compared to pricing somewhere else where you receive a REAL facial. If their non-transparency / non-communication about the enhancements thing is common practice (which it seems to be after reading reviews and talking to previous clients), BBB needs to be blasted about their practices. Editing to add customer service wrote me back very quickly apologizing and offering a full refund, including gratuity, which - I hope doesn't take $ away from their aesthetician (?), but the prompt reply and refund is appreciated. I think if their mission is to just educate people about skincare and products rather than provide an actual typical facial, that needs to made much clearer - and I hope their receptionist and other staff is clearly versed in how to offer elective treatments and state cost before doing so and not to rudely shame someone at check out who has had a very disappointing, scammy-feeling experience. read more

I used to love Heyday and went regularly but now post pandemic. I don't think I'll be back. Upsell central. My esthetician was wonderful but the whole vibe has gotten slimey. Their prices have drastically gone up and the whole time I felt like I was being upsold. My esthetician told me how she really wanted to do a peel and how it would be great for my skin and then casually mentioned the additional fee ($40) once she was about to start. The whole facial was spent telling me about all the products I needed to buy from them and asking me to join as a member. I am pretty sure that my esthetician was just doing what she was instructed to do as the quality of my facial was wonderful but yikes. On a whim, I decided to book a day of facial (on a Saturday, no less) while I was visiting LA. I stumbled upon heyday because the branding is just too good and I loved the products available on their site. From start to finish, I felt so welcome and supported in my skincare needs. Harris was my esthetician and he was informative and honest. He listened to my skin and what I had to say about my concerns and provided the best facial I have ever gotten. My skin was seriously dehydrated and I was experiencing some minor purging from tret. This morning I woke up and my skin looked flawlesssss. This place is a rip off. I went on a half price offer and it was still 70 bucks 85 with tip. They try and upsell you 50 dollar treatments while you're on the table and sell the membership. The products were nice but it was lacking in relaxation terms. Lots of starting and stopping. No mask. Minimal extraction but not deep enough. It was also short and the facial it's was nice along with front of house but really it was meh compared to Korean spa facials. Skip and save your money. FIVE. FREAKIN. STARS. Holy moly! I don't know what Mikko's secret is with extractions, but they didn't hurt nearly as much as other places. My favorite part was the massage. Mikko said I had some tension in my jaw and got it out like a pro! My ONLY gripe is that I can't take Mikko home w me and have them do my skincare 24/7.
