Unfortunately robot does not have the ability to massage the neck and shoulder which is a bummer. Also there's no mechanism to massage arm. Once these areas are address I think Aescape may be a nice alternative to human is fully booked. Pro tip: tuck your shirt under your pants to prevent shirt from moving up during massage session. I used to come here all the time, in fact for at least half a decade ive been coming here semi regularly. I work in LA but live in the IE and my hours are weird so sometimes if i'm too tired to drive home i'll stop by to rest for a few hours. always loved the convenience, however my last visit will be the final one. i've brought so many friends here, i've definitely spent thousands of dollars here throughout the years. I wanted to bring my 2 coworkers here to celebrate one of the girl's birthday. the others never been here before & we never actually made it inside. The security and the management were extremely rude and there was a major altercation which resulted in us going to Spa Palace (that place is actually so much better!) My friends have never been here as i mentioned so when we entered into the parking lot she made a wrong turn and went the other way so that we didnt check in with security. we are thinking no big deal we are literally about to go in and speak to them. the parking is free anyway so i didnt think it would ever be an issue. we were sitting in the car for a few minutes before we headed in. as we're getting ready to go, the rude security guard is walking towards us looking angry and bothered. i asked him multiple times what the problem was & he muttered something under his breath instead of communicating like a normal human being when somebody asks you a question. im thinking maybe he only speaks spanish so my friend who speaks spanish got out of the car to ask him what the issue is. this is when he says he's getting the manager and kicking us out for no given reason. then he starts arguing with my friend! a grown man at his big job is arguing with a lady, a potentially paying customer. the manager comes out & is telling us theyre refusing service because we turned the wrong way coming into the parking lot and said we were smoking which is not allowed. i told the manager ive been here many times, ive told the front desk before "im gonna go out to my car for a smoke and will be back" with no issues. i also said that had we known its not allowed to smoke in our car/on the property, we would have no issue respecting the rules but your security never actually spoke to us at this point my friends are extremely irritated. i tell the manager im taking my friends out for my girl's birthday and we dont understand what the issue is outside of you having a disrespectful and rude security guard. he tells us to stop yelling but nobody had raised their voice but this is when it escalated the manager straight up REFUSED to provide either his name nor the security. he did give an email which was " info@wispausa.com " to file a complaint. i asked how are we supposed to write a complaint without their names? he said to just include date and time of the incident. we went ahead and recorded them because clearly they are both trying to get out of consequences. this happened on 8/26/2026 at around 4:30 AM. really just disappointed after years of patronage to be getting treated unfairly for whatever reason and then when we were finally walking away the manager called us "p**sies" and yelling across the parking lot. Funny, when we were all standing right in front of him he had nothing to say. As soon as we walk away he wants to throw insults. I said "this is how you act as a manager?" he said basically that we started it. except we didn't, the security did, and one major difference is we are not on the clock sir. if my friends are irritated and they start talking back to you, thats your bad! you mishandled the situation. you chose a customer service job which means holding your composure when you have complaints and disgruntled guests. i also manage a business and have over 10 years of customer service experience. the way this man handled the situation was totally uncalled for and unprofessional. after all this, i was trying to keep the vibes happy with my friends. we found Spa Palace not too far away, and let me tell you!not only was it a much better experience because they actually let us in lol. but actually the facilities there are so much nicer, you have more privacy since its more lowkey (we ended up being the only ones there for a few hours which was awesome, total privacy!), everything was just way better. the shower areas are cleaner and more luxurious, the soaking tubs are bigger and the overall interior just looks really cool. from the security guard Big O to Alice at the front desk at Spa Palace they killed it. Second time coming here, this time treating my brother and myself to a body scrub and combo massage. The facilities are great, but the services provided were just OK (seshin- body scrub) to not good (massage). Wi Spa is the most famous jjimjilbang in LA (which would make it one of the most famous in the country). It opened in 2009, and is open 24 hours 7 days a week, and is co-ed. It also has a small restaurant with filling Korean dishes and desserts, and a lovely, quiet rooftop where one can relax outside. It was a place my brother had not been before, so figured it would be an interesting activity for a Saturday afternoon. I visited a couple days before and reserved a seshin (25 min body scrub for $65) and acupressure/swedish combo (80 min for $180) for each of us. Because the service total was over $159.99, the $40 admission fee was waived. We were asked to come at least 30 minutes before the first body scrub. We were given a locker key/id wristband with a clear number, and going forward, everyone uses that number to identify the clients. We also got a unisex t-shirt and disposable slippers. The men's locker room is on the same floor as the check-in area. Once inside, it's just easier to put everything into your locker and only have your wrist band with you while in the men's area. There are saunas, different whirlpools, and resting areas. To go to the co-ed areas, there are self service shorts and robes (which added to the tshirt and slippers) is the common outfit to walk around outside of the locker room. Glasses don't work here (it would steam, plus I didn't really care about the details), so had to walk around slowly. There are two tables for the seshin in the men's locker room, but only one scrubber so one had to wait while the other went. It was my very first seshin, though I often take baths to scrub away dead skin, so the sensation wasn't that different. I was concerned about certain areas with really thin skin. The best way to describe the scrubber was that he was no-nonsense, not saying much, and giving one word commands...but that strangely felt appropriate here. Two handcloths were used: one to cover my eyes and the other for the nether region. That being said, the experience wasn't pleasant. Plus the bench table got slippery, and could see how someone could slip and hurt themselves, so need to go slow. Afterwards, he handed me a tip envelope and told me 'Come back HERE, OK?'. I did do as he asked, but he was gone so just put the filled tip envelope on the bench and left. Massages are done at a dedicated floor and we arrived too early. The ajumma was not happy with me (probably because I was too loud telling her my name...should have used my number instead) and told to come back in 25 minutes. So we went to the restaurant, got a couple of fruit smoothies ($8, they were good) and some shaved ice. Came back and my brother was taken back immediately. I had to wait for a bit. Two women came and started to argue with each other softly. Finally a different woman came, and I was told by the ajumma to go with her. At that point, I was worried that I had been given to a newbie who was low person on the totem pole, getting all the undesirables. That being said, the masseuse was skilled and knew what she was doing. She used her feet quite a bit, and knew how far to go without seriously hurting me. But I would have appreciated a tiny bit more interaction, and a bit more than just grunts to me when I was supposed to turn over, etc. This interaction seemed more appropriate with the body scrub. Maybe...5 words were said to me, and all of it was unintelligible. The experience just didn't work. Plus I was a bit uncomfortable on my stomach as I had probably been resting on my forehead too long, but had no idea if I could effectively communicate that with her...so I just bore it. At the end, she clapped loudly and stopped, mumbling something. Everything was so opposite of gentle and friendly, even the end 'conversation'. Of course, she handed me a tip envelope with towel and was out of there very quickly. I ended up handing the tip envelope to the front desk as I was checking out. Later I asked my brother at what rank would he put his massage of all the ones he's taken (he's probably had over a hundred) and he wouldn't give me a straight answer. Can't recommend the massages here at all (and mad at myself for giving them a tip). It's weird...they almost make it seem like it is Korea, where not many people speak English....and woe to the Korean-Am who can't speak Korean properly. The only people at the facility I would consider to have good customer service would be the folks checking you in and the non-Korean locker room attendant who was very helpful. Common Area: The typical mats, various rooms (high temp clays balls room, other temps, cold room - maybe 5-6 rooms total? By end of the day (8/9pm) lots of mats strewn around because unsure if they belong to people. There's an overnight fee added now (check their website). Didn't try the food, but the menu looked good. Overall, a meh spa by general Korean spa standards, especially as there isn't another 24hr spa in the area. Cold common sauna's AC was dripping water, not many pool options (I know this isn't something they can just change, but if a section of the shower area was converted to more pools...) They have a kitchen in the co-ed area that serves full menu until 11:30 PM, then after that its a limited menu. Its slightly overpriced...$23 for beef tofu soup that hardly had any beef. The taste was very meh and it made me wish I had spent it at BCD instead. Each of the men and women spaces have their own wet area that includes 3 different pools and steam&dry sauna. A Novelty Spa Experience for Those Interested in Korean Culture Wi Spa is a great way to experience the jimjilbangs of South Korea. Admission is $40 on top of a fee for valet parking, which is the only choice for Wi Spa's parking lot. Since this spa is open 24 hours, this admission gives you the whole day to experience the spa's many rooms. The front desk service is no-frills and straightforward. I only had three hours to go through the rooms, but the spa is actually quite small. Most of the main spa rooms (co-ed) are on the same floor. There's a cold room and then ~3 hot rooms with various themes. In addition, these rooms were incredibly cozy, only allowing a few guests at a time. In the gendered areas, there's showers, jacuzzis, saunas, and lockers. There's a sleeping room, a restaurant, and a common area to lay out on the co-ed floor. The rooftop area is on the top floor. Wi Spa offers massages, body scrubs, and various spa services. However, the prices are on the higher side. There are also massage chairs, but these cost extra money and aren't included with admission. I did the body scrub, which you have to book in advance at the register, and it is quite painful but thorough. They do ask about washing your hair and scrubbing your face, but I opted out. You are given an envelope to tip for services (bring cash!). It was nice that they give you the scrubbing cloth at the end! Overall, the spa is a little cramped and in need of an update considering rising admission prices. It's a charming experience and similar to what I've seen at jimjilbangs in Korea. My gf and I came here on a late Friday night around 9:30pm - 2am. There were still plenty of people there and by the end of the night people were trying to rest and spend the night there. I understand it's LA so space is limited but the facility isn't that big and each hot room feels very crowded. A few of the rooms were kind of stinky from the amount of bodies in there. The ice room wasn't very cool and had a funny smell to it. The restaurant food was good, we really enjoyed the seaweed clam soup, bingsu, shikye and roasted eggs. The jacuzzi/sauna/women's locker room were clean. For the price it's still very reasonable especially it is 24 hours and would be a very cheap alternative to getting a hotel room if you're able to sleep with lots of people around you. read more

Ho. Ly. Smokes. My best friend and I decided to take an adventure day and go to Wi. Neither of us had ever been to a day spa like this, and we were game for a new experience. Turned out to be one of our favorite things we've done! I don't have any photos, because it seemed weird to have my phone with me, but the ones online are pretty accurate. The valet and check in process were very smooth and easy. We got into our lockers and put on our very spiffy shorts/t-shirt/slippers combo and checked out the Jijimbang floor where the clay, jade, salt, and cold saunas were. We LOVED the clay sauna best - very relaxing to lay in a bunch of clay balls at a very pleasant heat. It also made for a little comedy trying to crawl our way out. We are 2 middle aged ladies... the comedy was bound to happen. The jade sauna was also great, and little hotter, which we also appreciated. They also have this domed sauna that I swear feels like a portal to hell. It's well over 215 degrees, and made me nervous to stand in. We were there for a minute or two and decided we weren't THAT hard core yet. We realized it was almost time for our treatments, so we showered and got into the hot tub as requested, and then sat and waited for the women to come get us for our treatments. We got the super fancy deluxe package that came with a scrub, oil treatment, hair wash/deep condition, mini facial, massage, and finishing oil. My services were performed by Rose, who, quite frankly, worked miracles in that semi-private room. I gallumped in, a scaly, dehydrated, sad little gila monster and after about 2 hours, emerged from the primordial goo a sleek, and slithery little skink... Rose probably scrubbed a toddler's worth of dead skin off me (yikes! Not the nips!), dousing me frequently with fragrant water that conjured up scenes from "The Ten Commandments." She went kind of light on my vampire feet, which I was fine with. Rose didn't need to be a hero. Flipping on the table was quite the feat, as it's very slippery, but Rose was there to prevent me from torpedoing right off the end. Next came the hair wash, which smelled amazing, and a deep conditioner that was wrapped in a towel to work its magic. We were instructed to shower and hit the dry sauna for 5 minutes, and were summoned back for round 2. Next, we were back on the table, on top of a Mylar blanket. Oil was poured on, and we were wrapped like baked potatoes to marinate while a refreshing mask was applied to our faces. After 10 minutes or so, the mask was removed, and the massage was up. Now, I hate massages, but this was about as pleasant as it could've been. Rose pretended to not be horrified by the way my back sounded like a güiro when she rubbed it, and I pretended not to want to roll off the table out of being extremely ticklish. We got through it, and I was rewarded with another face mask, hair rinsed out, and another oil applied with gold flakes. It smelled, coincidentally, like roses. After our saga, oiled up, and not a flake to be found for miles, we ate at the restaurant, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We checked out the salt sauna (kinda scratchy and hot to sit in), and the clay sauna again (I actually dozed off, which I don't recommend), and the cold sauna, which reminded me of the ol' walk-in at the VIP Pizza I used to work at. At this point, we were a little "hotted out," but vowed to return, and to take advantage of the ability to nap at all kinds of spots around the multiple floors. I will definitely get scrubbed again, and probably another facial and oil wrap. They were GLORIOUS. All in all, the $40 day price is absolutely worth it, if you don't want/need services. The fee is waived if you get a certain level of service, which makes it even MORE worth it for a nice day of saunas, spas, and generally lazing about. That said - if you are in any way precious, priggish, or prudish, this may not be for you. It's a very naked place, and all the services are conducted in a semi-private place. You can hear people's conversations, see (kind of) what's going on with others, and you're slithering around on a table in some pretty interesting ways. Overall, this was GLORIOUS. I absolutley can't wait to go back, and neither can my friend. We are already looking for dates! Worth every penny. read more

This spa experience was okay, but not great. First, the good. Valet parking is available for $4. The spa treatments were the redeeming part, even though they were inconvenient to book. More on that later. I ended up getting the Buff (body scrub) & Aroma Massage. As someone who exfoliates almost daily, I didn't expect to get much out of the exfoliating part, but that woman scrubbed off my sins from a past life. That was THE most thorough exfoliation I've ever experienced. My skin was so smooth afterward. Every time she splashed warm water on me to wash away the dead skin, I felt refreshed. At the end of the service, she even gave me the exfoliating glove she'd used during the service. After the scrub, she applied the most hydrating face mask to my slightly sunburned face. After the scrub, she applied a hydrating face mask that my slightly sunburned skin desperately needed. While it dried, she performed my massage using what smelled like eucalyptus oil. The massage was thorough & occasionally intense but overall, I felt amazing. My only concern was sanitation. Services are performed completely nude, & I would've preferred to see the table sanitized in front of me or at least know what products were being used between guests. It was a little uncomfortable knowing someone else's most intimate parts had been on that table moments earlier. The café on the second floor has a decent variety of Korean food, water, juices, smoothies, & cold-pressed juices. I grabbed an apple, ginger & beet juice that was spicy in the best way. At $10, it was cheaper than many cold-pressed juices I've had elsewhere. That's about where the positives end because unfortunately, this is not a great place to relax. I was hoping for an outdoor pool (this is LA, after all). Nope. Just a rooftop deck. The "Ice Room" was about 57 degrees. Cool, but not cold. What WAS cold, however, was the water dripping on me from the ceiling. The Clay Ball Room is a death trap. Nearly everyone who entered after me either fell or almost fell. One poor woman went down so fast she didn't even know what happened. They really need signage warning guests about the slip & fall risk & explaining how to enter safely. I also expected more relaxation rooms. There were only one or two beyond the main spaces. The second-floor common area wasn't the quiet retreat I expected. Despite signs asking guests to keep their voices down, loud conversations were everywhere & no staff seemed interested in enforcing the rules. I thought I'd have better luck in the women-only spa area. Just when I found a quiet spot in the wet sauna, a staff member barged in & told everyone to leave so they could spray something into the air. We were completely naked, the steam is so thick you can barely see a few inches in front of you, & I was just starting to drift into a light sleep when the door flew open & we were told to get out. There was no explanation, no calm communication, & no indication whether this was routine maintenance or an emergency. Even afterward, nobody explained what was being sprayed or why. If this is routine maintenance, there should be signage letting guests know services may be interrupted throughout the day. And if there was such urgency to spray whatever product was being used, it raises questions about whether guests had been been exposed to something concerning. The wet sauna is also another place where hot water drips from the ceiling onto unsuspecting patrons. Very unpleasant & frankly pretty gross. The women's-only section includes a hot tub, warm tub & cold plunge. Unfortunately, I don't believe these pools are cleaned as thoroughly or frequently as they should be. I noticed visible buildup along the tile line at the water's edge, the kind of thing that shouldn't be there if the pools are being properly maintained. Anyone sitting their most intimate parts on those tile seats does so at their own risk. As I mentioned earlier, booking services here is a pain. There are signs advertising treatments but no clear guidance on where to sign up. Helpful patrons told me to go to the front desk, so I had to shower, dry off, get dressed & head upstairs. Then, despite my credit card being attached to my wristband, I couldn't use the wristband to pay. I had to go all the way back to the locker room to retrieve my card. So inconvenient. At my local Korean spa, there's a concierge in the locker room who handles all bookings. If that's not feasible here, at least install a kiosk so guests can book services without leaving the spa area. Online booking would also help, but I couldn't find that option on the website. My intention was to spend the entire day here before heading to my 11:30 pm flight. Instead, I left several hours early because I was so unnerved by the disruptions & disappointed by the limited relaxation options. I really enjoyed the deep tissue shiatsu massage. The masseuse was very skilled, and it was a first to have someone walk on my back. The experience was very therapeutic. DD got a deep pore facial, and enjoyed that a lot. The salt sauna, clay sauna, and ice room were our other favorites. I also enjoyed the bibimpap at the restaurant. The clay pot made the rice crispy. The dish definitely hit the spot. DD got the spicy tuna bowl, and we were impressed by the generous portion. All the entrees in the restaurant run about $20. Had an average experience at the Wi Spa, I would recommend it to first time visitors as the price point and amenities are plentiful. The high volume of visitors is expected for this popular spa in LA, and it was my first time. I liked the sauna rooms, but found it pretty repetitive and the "ice" room didn't feel as comfortable and relaxing for me. I enjoyed the food court and liked the Cold Noodles from there! It was refreshing to eat after the hot sauna rooms. Everything was stocked and clean. I would book another service next time to get a different experience but I would recommend this spa if you're looking to lounge somewhere especially for late nights! I haven't been to Wi Spa in years! After I moved out of K town and the pandemic, it just hasn't occurred to me to visit. I use to go all the time to relax - like a staycation. I even have passes I purchased from 2018. In my most recent visit, I went to pick up 10 more passes as gifts. They showed up on my instagram feed. I think an influencer was talking about the new massage robot (Aescape). There has been a number of changes. The gym and men's sleeping area is under construction. The valet parking is $4. I was also told the entrance fee is $70 if you check in between midnight to 4 am. If you enter before midnight, you can stay until 4am at the regular entrance fee, $40. I purchased a pack of 10 passes, coming out to $320. I am usually a cheapskate, so I normally would say, just try to find street parking. But the area is so sketchy, I personally wouldn't feel safe walking around McArthur area. Have a good time, but be careful of the surrounding area. read more

What started out as booking my first ever Aescape (Robotic Massage) turned into a night of checking out the Wi Spa. I almost took a Waymo here, but time was running short. I should have done my research beyond locating it on Google Maps. So here's what I learned so far. Tip #1 The building is a concrete fortress, meaning there are zero windows, therefore minimal internet connection. Tip #2. Scannable codes everywhere to help you connect to the internet, their service menu, and to book additional services. Tip #3. Bring your own sandals. The ones they provide are very thin & flimsy. I was toe gripping the entire time. So I checked in at the front desk, greeted and checked into the spa $40 which allowed me to use the amenities, a locker that comes with a magnetic key watch. A towel, a T-Shirt, and those flimsy sandals. Check out time is at 4am even though this place is open 24hrs. Women's spa/locker room is located in the basement. You're encouraged to wear the given WiSpa T-shirt the entire time. No one told me that shorts are available on the shelves in the women's locker room so I stayed in my yoga pants. Next, I was escorted to my first ever Robotic massage. I booked 45min of my back (thoracic & Lumbar) along with my hips, glutes, and hamstrings. So I went upstairs in the elevator and was given spandex tops and bottom. They said they run small, but I actually think I should have went to my true size because it has to be smooth for the robotic arms. They offer a hair tie or a headband. I already had a hair tie, but I got the headband too. Staff have a tablet mirrored to the screen, but he walked me through the process and all the buttons. The massage bed was heated. The offer headrest covers to protect your face. What was it like? I was apprehensive at first, but once I relaxed and started out with the lightest tension and gradually increased pressure as I went along. First thing the machine does is scan your body. That was a truth-telling moment. I was looking fluffy on that image. Next thing you know I'm favoriting (Heart) on the best parts. That meant I wanted the robotic arms to stay longer in that space. I have a feeling I'm going to sleep very well tonight. The pressure on my glutes and hamstrings is just what I needed. The arms actually mimic a natural human massage meaning, it places it sensors on you on place at a time and provides pressure. The it goes into back n forth, to elongating the muscles then providing just heat and ending with one long pass before going into the next section. That 45 minutes went by quick and I was regretting not choosing the full-body option to cover my calves. Once it was over, I called the attendant and asked if I could book extra minutes. Nope, there was someone already booked after me that I quickly took off the spandex uniform provided and switched back into the WiSpa t-shirt. Cost to book that was $10. Well I booked a acupressure 30 minute foot massage. Cost $68. It was a good massage that included the calves. she did a great job. She kneaded, she pulled, slapped, and rubbed my feet to create heat and relaxation. It ended with Hot towels covering my calves and feet. She cleaned off my feet and I was done. I was laying down the entire time with an eye mask. Very relaxing. She guided me downstairs back to the locker room so I got dressed and headed up to the rooftop. It's nice, quiet, relaxing water fountains affixed to the fence. It's pretty chilly and glad I got dressed before heading up. Would come again. I had heard of Wi Spa from the Conan O'Brien video (where he went with Steven Yuen) but had forgotten about it. Boyfriend and I were going on a road trip from just south of Seattle to San Diego and needed a place to stay in the middle of the night. We got to LA around 10pm and popped into the Wi Spa because they are open 24/7! Unfortunately, massage services end at 10pm (which I didn't realize despite reading a bunch of stuff on their website/reviews). Would've been well worth the stop if we had been able to get a massage after our long drive. There are signs stating SERVICES OVER $160 WAIVES ENTRANCE FEE. We stayed until 4am (that's the cut off if you don't want to pay $30 for the next day). They reset at 11am. Food was expensive. Late night ramyun was $14 (and you know it's just instant ramyun). The health drinks were bomb though ($6 for the skin cleaner - highly recommend!). 1st floor is women's. 2nd floor is men's. 3rd floor is communal. Unfortunately, 3rd floor was a little loud with certain groups not being conscious of their volume. At 1am-ish there was a security person who went into each sauna and made sure people didn't have their shirts lifted up (modesty!) and stayed quiet. Unfortunately, one group didn't get the memo and still laughed loudly in the cold room (doors are NOT soundproof!). Lots of snorers too. One spot right outside the food area had a hole in the ceiling and water dripped onto my leg. My favorite thing about this place was my skin felt so clear afterwards! I was so surprised to find such an authentic Korean jjimjilbang right here in Los Angeles -- and it's clearly very popular! I came on a weekend and all five floors were basically full. Everyone is really into wellness these days! This place has everything: hot tubs, showers, dry saunas, steam rooms, and multiple heated rooms with different temperatures. There are also large relaxation areas where you can just rest, nap, or hang out. It's perfect for families, couples, or a chill day with friends. Very kid-friendly, too -- they even have a children's play area. Another huge plus: they're open 24 hours, and valet parking is only $4. I'm so happy I found this spot. Valet is four dollars cash or five dollars Zelle. We waited in line for about 20 minutes before we were let in which wasn't bad on New Year's Day. Cost $40 for the day and they give you a towel, cheap slippers and a T-shirt. They mandate that you wear their leisure uniform but being a plus size girly they did not have my size. I made sure to bring my own shorts just in case. Really glad that I did. There are so many things to do here and this was my very first time. I'm glad I went with a friend who has gone once before. They give you a bracelet that looks more like a watch and that is your locker number and key to lock up your valuables. They offer robes on a first come first serve basis, as well as shorts and mini towels. So just a heads up, if you plan on using the pools, you must shower before entering them and it is a totally nude setting. If you're not comfortable seeing other women nude or being news yourself, then this level is not for you. Everyone is nude walking around, going in and out of saunas on the "locker" level. Please keep in mind that women have their own locker room. Men have their own separate locker room. The next level is for both genders. You can grab a mat and lay out and relax, and there are tons of different rooms with different temperatures to use. There's a jade room, clay room, extreme heat, rock room, and an ice room. We use all of them. They serve food here as well. I got a water, a slushy and veggie rolls to snack on. We sat on a traditional Korean table setting. So basically you're seated on the floor with a special chair and legs crossed. Really taking in the full experience, right?! There are so many amenities here and we also purchased face masks from the store they had. Keep in mind it's a $10 minimum for credit card. My mask was only three dollars so luckily my friend had cash. Otherwise they have tons of masks make up lip, glosses, and so much more. I really enjoyed myself here. It's almost like being in Vegas because there are no windows and no clocks and we were there for literally six hours! I couldn't believe it. Definitely I'm coming back and bringing a group of girls. Next time I will make sure to bring my own sandals, shorts, and my own robe since they didn't carry my size. My friend and I came to relax in the women-only area (the basement level), which is supposed to be exclusively for women. This is a space where women should feel safe and comfortable, including being undressed without concern. However, during our visit, there was a fully naked man walking around freely in this area. This situation was incredibly uncomfortable and made us feel unsafe/uncomfortable. We immediately reported it to the staff, but instead of addressing the issue or even showing understanding, they told us that California law supposedly allows anyone to access any space if they identify that way. They refused to take any action and rather dismissively told us to complain to whoever you want in CA's office. Regardless of legal nuances, a business like this should ensure the comfort and safety of its guests, especially in such sensitive, gender-segregated areas. In this case, that responsibility was completely ignored. We left feeling very upset and uncomfortable. We will not be returning and cannot recommend this place to anyone who values personal boundaries and a basic sense of safety. When one of the staff told me that he can be in women's area since he identifies himself as a women, I asked does this mean that I can go to men's area if I identify myself as a men. He told me "no, since you checked in as a women already" so by only a check mark next time I can go to men's section and men by that only check mark can come to women's area. Every time I'm in town and make my way over to Wi Spa to squeeze in a spa day. $40 to gain access to several jacuzzi's, sauna types, relaxation rooms, and a rooftop... yep, sign me up! Their services are a little pricey but in my opinion worth trying at least once! You have to spend at least $165 if you want to cancel out your $40 entrance fee. I was speaking at a conference in LA recently so I was in town and finally was able to try Wi Spa! This place has been on my list for years. I've been to the Korean spa outside Chicago & a spa in Korea for reference. Pros: - My Korean scrub & massage was really well done! I had a really attentive person and I kept thinking, wow what they do is such a workout so I have nothing but admiration for the ladies caring for folks every day. - The place was clean. I went late on a weekday from 7:30-11:30pm. It got quieter after 8 & really quiet after 10pm but there were still a few people around so it never felt unsafe as a woman there by myself. - Unlike other reviews, I got to avoid children & even had some saunas by myself which was nice. The saunas are a great size and they have enough variety to keep it interesting. The wet sauna in the women's locker room was also nicer than the one in Chicago. Cons: - No one explained where the shorts, robes, etc were so had to ask other folks for help. It would've been nice to be given a heads up at the front desk but the reception folks seemed all really young and didn't really care. - I'm used to there being different levels of hot pools so was slightly disappointed that there was just multiple hot pools of the same temp & then the icy one. - Food was so-so but service was great and I'm still glad there was a food option at like 11pm. I tend to always want a spicy soup for comfort but looking at other reviews I should've got the mul naengmyun (next time)! - I spent over $225 for services and food so be prepared to splurge. - The rooftop is unique but what's up with no good view of the city? There were folks sleeping up there so felt weird for me to stay longer than 5 mins. Tips: - Make sure to bring $20s, $10s, & $5s so you have some flexibility on a tip for the scrub & massage based on price. They give you envelopes to put it in and hand back which is preferred by the workers. Luckily I was able to get some smaller bills at the front desk but was annoying having to get dressed in order to go back there so if you want to avoid that, get it ahead of time. - In case folks are wondering, the workers doing the scrub speak English and you can communicate with them throughout. My lady actually started out in English and then switched to Korean when I said I was lol. Overall, I'm so glad I experienced Wi Spa! I'm jealous of anyone who lives somewhere in the US with access to a Korean spa. I would def be here all the time if I was local but will just have to wait until my next work trip! read more

Our family has been coming to this spa for a very long time -- probably more than 30 times over the years. It's a very popular place, so it always seems busy whenever we visit. I really enjoy coming here because I can relax and have some pampering time. However, during my most recent visit on Sunday, November 9, there were a few things that were disappointing. When I asked the staff in the women's sauna area for a robe, she said there weren't any available, which surprised me. How can a spa not have any robes? After spending some time in the bath and showering, I checked again about an hour later, and they had robes. That's good. The facilities are nice, the food is ok and I especially love the Ondol (the heated floor), which is one of my favorite things about Korean spas. But the biggest downside is that there are always kids running around, yelling, and being very loud. Even though I like kids, this is supposed to be a place to relax, and it's hard to fully unwind with so much noise. This has been an ongoing issue every time I visit, and it's really disappointing. The food tastes okay, but the prices are definitely too high for what you get. Overall, I do like this spa, but I really hope they can address some of these issues, especially the noise. read more

Went on a weekday night and honestly loved how relaxing it was. The spa is huge and open 24/7, so there's no pressure to rush. I mainly stayed in the different sauna rooms upstairs and each one had a different vibe and temperature. The jade and salt rooms were probably my favorites. Everything felt pretty clean and organized, and there were lots of places to sit and rest between sauna sessions. Definitely a good spot if you just want to unplug for a few hours in Koreatown. Out of the Korean spas I've tried, Wi Spa was probably the smoothest experience for me -- mostly because I finally went with an actual Korean friend who walked me through everything and told me what order to do things in. That made a huge difference. The spa itself has everything, it's 24 hours, and the valet situation makes it convenient for LA. If you're someone who actually knows how to use a Korean spa properly and wants to hang out for a while, I can see why people like this place. That said, it was busy. Like very busy. They had even run out of robes at one point, so we had to wait for one, which was kind of wild. And compared to the other spas I've been to, the massage prices here were also crazy expensive. I'm still personally a little shy with Korean spas in general, so I don't think I fully relax the way other people do in these spaces, but this was the first time I felt like I actually understood the flow of it better. Leave your belongings in the lockers using the wristbands and change into the provided shorts and shirt. All purchases made from this point on are via your wristband. Recommendations: Bring a change of clothes, something to read, cards, shower toiletries, etc. My favorite rooms in the spa are the clay ball room and the jade room. Food is decent for the price, can take a while depending on how busy it is. This is a korean spa so people are naked in the locker rooms/jacuzzis. Grow up if this bothers you. Open 24/7. Late Night Lifesaver We came here for a 4 a.m. sister spa run, and that alone makes this place iconic. It's open 24 hours, which is perfect when you need to relax on your own schedule. I called ahead (twice) to confirm pricing and hours, and the staff was helpful and patient even at 3 in the morning. Pro tip: if you go after 4 a.m., admission drops from $70 to $40 per person. That alone made it worth the wait. Entrance and Parking We took Waymo, and it dropped us off in the front of the building. The address is correct, but the main entrance is actually in the back near the parking lot. Just walk around the building. There are stairs at the entrance, so that's something to keep in mind. They do have a parking lot, but I'm not sure whether parking is included or paid. What to Expect Inside Even at 4 a.m., there were plenty of people there. The locker room wet area requires nudity (standard spa policy). They have two hot tubs, a cold pool, standing showers, and smaller seated wash stations. Upstairs, there are multiple sauna-style rooms including a salt room, clay room, an ice room (which felt amazing), and an extremely hot sauna where staff limits you to 10 minutes for safety. There were also lots of people resting quietly on mats, so it definitely has that true 24-hour spa vibe. Uniform and Sizing They provide a robe plus a spa shirt and shorts. The shirts go up to 4X, but the shorts only go up to 2X, and the robes run small and don't fully close. If sizing is a concern, just know the options are limited. It's manageable, but not the most size-inclusive setup. I did appreciate that staff said we could bring our own clothes if needed. Just something to keep in mind if you want a more comfortable fit. Rooftop and Extras They have a rooftop lounge area with seating and a TV, which is nice for relaxing. The view is mostly covered by metal paneling, so you don't really see much of the city. There's also a café (not sure if it's open 24 hours), and massage services weren't available during the overnight hours when we went. Overall It's not perfect, but it delivers on the 24-hour experience. If you need a reset when the world is asleep, this place gives you that space. read more

Concerns: Wed. July 8th, I decided to celebrate my birthday at Wi-Spa. At check I submitted my Driver's License the Latina Clerk scanned my license and #1, made no mention of my birthday. I shared with her I had a body scrub appointment and she swiped my card and gave me the check in items. Midway during my body scrub, I could hear #2 teenagers talking loud and disrupting the peace and tranquillity of the women's only level. Management and owners should really enforce this rule. As a teacher of 32 years, I want to escape noise when I am at a spa. The management really needs to offer hours or window of times for adults only. My services for the body scrub were nice, however #3 request for a tip was a bit pushy. And, my reason for submitting this review was my last two interactions of the evening. It cost me $33.00 for a green tea, veggie egg rolls and a dark chocolate raspberry ice cream bar at the restaurant. Nice, hot and fresh food. However, the eldest female Asian lady's demeanor was quite stark and cold to work in customer service. I asked for a #4 to-go box and she said it cost a $1.00. I said of course it would. During check out I went over my bill $185.00 plus $33. I stated to the same Latina who checked me in , so #5 they are charging me a $1.00 for the to-go-box. She said, "Yes." I said, "Does WiSpa offer anything for birthdays because today is my actual birthday. I gave you my driver's license when I checked in you did not say anything. She said, #6 "No, We just scan it." I proceeded to pay my bill and she said, "Thank you." I said, " Happy Birthday to me." I took time to compose this review because I want to patronize Asian own businesses l, however most times I am treated shrewdly and often overcharged for basic services. Full service Korean spa with multi-levels of rejuvenation and healing. Quality, cleanliness and overall service has definitely gone down since its original opening but until another comparable spa opens, this has been my go-to. They have the best unisex common area that my husband and I like to hang out. Our biggest complaints is that the cleanliness has gone down, they need to hire more people to clean and they need to make some updates. It feels like they have been using the same nasty towels they've had since they opened. The towels are thinned out and have stains and discoloration. You can really feel the age and I've found hair stuck to them on a few occasions. (Long blond hair that I don't have) We need more larger towels to be more readily available. Robes are rarely available and if you find one, often they are missing the ties and feel oddly sticky. The facility needs better signs that emphasize the spa rules. Mainly that YOU MUST .... MUST MUST shower first before entering any hot tub or any of the rooms. So gross watching people go directly into the hot tubs without washing.... This isn't your home.... When assigning lockers, please space them out....the facility is never full and yet they assign all of us lockers that are on top of eachother crowding the dressing area. Really hope they make some updates, clean things up and improve customer service so I can continue to come here and make it worth the continue hike in price. read more

Visited Wi Spa in LA and it truly exceeded my expectations. When I first arrived, the front desk was very crowded, which felt a bit overwhelming at first. However, an employee named Minwoo stepped in to help, and he really stood out. He seemed like a manager, not necessarily by title, but because he was noticeably more professional and kind than the other front desk staff. He carefully went over each of my reserved services and explained how to prepare and where to go in a very clear and easy-to-understand way. It made the whole experience much smoother, especially for a first-time visit. After using the sauna, I spent time in the co-ed jimjilbang area, which had a relaxing and authentic atmosphere. I also received a skincare treatment and an acupressure service, and both were very satisfying. Later, I had a meal at the restaurant with friends, and we went up to the rooftop to get some fresh air. The patio area was nicely set up, and the cool breeze made it a perfect place to relax and unwind. I enjoyed my time here! This is my second time here and the areas have really improved and been renovated since pre-COVID. Particularly I found the showers, pampering area, and ladies section to be a lot more inviting and modern than I remember it. The rooftop also looks nicer than I went last time! It's very relaxing to chill up there. Now for the main event the rooms! My favorite is the really hot dome looking room, the clay ball room, and I enjoy the ice room!
