We had a bathroom sink faucet that was leaking, my husband installed a new Delta faucet and it continued to leak after going back to the hardware store and purchasing two new supply lines and trying again, it still leaked, so I called Heys Plumbing and within an hour Nate was at the front door, he checked the installation and said that my husband had done a good job. When he turned on the faucet it leaked again, so Nate removed it and inspected it and saw that the new faucet was defective. So after all that Nate gave us the invoice and it was not unreasonable. If Dale had complete control of this company, I would have left my 3-star rating up. Dale seems to genuinely care and seems to genuinely want to do right by the customer. Sadly, Dale's dad, John, is still in control of Heys and John's business philosophy is STILL "screw over the customer." John is constantly up his employees' butts to upsell and bill customers for more hours than was actually worked. Upsell?! Really?! How about just repairing the plumbing issue with the actual supplies needed and charge for the actual time worked?! Why not build a reputation on being an honest business person? UNPROFESSIONAL!! (Jan 2015) I live in a townhouse and my neighbor has a broken pipe out on the patio which is connected to ours. The guy that was sent out to fix the problem came with a female coworker/trainee and had to dig from my patio to reach the neighbor's pipe. This guy was loud and used profanity and vulgarities as he spoke to the trainee. Not knowing that my eleven year old daughter at the time was home schooling and heard his entire vocabulary choices. After my wife reported it to the rude office lady the same tech was sent out the next day and was immediately rude and hostile to the mother of this home. End result was extremely poor quality work and the guy cemented our removable drain cover in. I myself called the owner Dale Heys and he himself showed no immediate concern about fixing the issue and was very rude. It wasn't until I sent him a photo of the work that he said he would get it fixed but he and his office was unwilling to accommodate a scheduling time that I could be home from work so my wife would not have to deal with anyone from the company. ISSUE NEVER GOT RESOLVED... Today Heys had to come out to fix the same problem from before for my neighbors outside drain. Heys once again sent out THE SAME hostile tech out for the job, over to our patio. My wife not realizing it was the same guy from before greeted him politely and to no avail she was met with disrespect, unprofessional responses, and lots of bravado from him. ISSUE STILL NOT RESOLVED... Heys is supposed to contact us "soon" to inform us of when they will be coming to our patio again to fix my neighbors problem. I live in a townhouse association. Heys was called out to my home through my association to unplug the drain. Water was backing up into the sink in the kitchen. Heys came out and attempted to unplug the drain. He wasnt sure if it was my unit or the main line. He ran the snake a long way out and determined it was blocked in the main line. When he left the water was not backing up into my sink. The next morning, i take a shower and afterwards i notice that my kitchen sinks are full of water again! Problem not solved. We let Heys know that it is still backing up and they inform us that they are going to charge us again to come back out, $202 each time. We say clearly is was not fixed because as soon as a lot of water was sent down the drain it plugged up again (wasnt even 24 hours) They told us it was fixed when they left. They are not responsible for it after they leave. The tech had run water from my refrigerator water line (low flow) and thought that would suffice. Its obviously not the same amount of water. We had to pay another plumber to come out and fix it. He used a larger snake head so that he could throughly clear the pipes of debris. Problem solved!! I would not recommend Heys plumbing as they do not stand behind their work and they try to get away with doing the least work possible instead of doing it right the first time. They are not concerned with customer service, only getting your money. They will not be coming back to my house again. Beware of doing business with shady companies like Heys Plumbing. read more

When we bought our house, the inspector recommended Heys Plumbing to do a repipe. They did a good job quickly and at a reasonable price. Three years later, we called them for a clogged main drain. It was clogged pretty badly, and the plumber who came out was very nice and very determined to get it cleared for us that day, even though it was pretty late in the evening. Needed a water heater, in ceiling, to be replaced. Was given an estimate and price that originally seemed fair. Was told they didn't have the water heater in stock and would have it two days later. Two days later they came back, water heater in hand, took them most of the day to replace the heater but also spilled the water from the tank and the pan onto the ceiling which caused water damage, which after talking to other plumbers said, "If they were a good company with people who knew what they were doing they would not have spilled any amount of water." Also, the price was doubled from original price. Didn't argue since it needed to be done. They referred a guy to redo the plaster and paint. He was awful too since he took all day to plaster and paint a hole the size of your typical kitchen plate. read more

I have had Heys Plumbing to my house on three different occasions. They were always spot on and fair. The most recent occasion was when I called Dale Heys to come and solve a mysterious wet patch on the carpet in front of our washing machine. We could not figure out where the water was coming from because there was no obvious water coming from the washing machine. Dale came, looked it over and after a couple of minutes said he was almost positive that there was a pipe leaking inside the wall and that the water was traveling under the linoleum and finally making its way out to the carpet. Dale pulled the washer out, cut into the wall and bingo! There was water pooled in the walls. It was exactly what he suspected. He fixed the problem. Now, the carpet and everything else is back to normal. I will not hesitate to have Dale Heys come back when the next plumbing problem arises. read more

I have never needed to write a bad review - poor maybe - but not BAD!! I would not recommend this company to anyone after the terrible service we received. We called on Heys 10 months ago to fix a broken water main on a Saturday. It took the plumber 5 hours to complete the job, which was very expensive. We were happy that the job was complete and the leak was fixed, even at the cost of $1,000. Fast forward 10 months, when the pipes started leaking again. We phoned Heys and they indicated that the man who did the work was no longer at the company and that they would send someone by to assess the situation. An employees came by the house to check the water main for the leave and were told to wait for 5 more days for the fix because the leak was small and that was the earliest that they could do the repair. They also tried to save us money by instructing us to remove the plants and soil by the broken pipe to save them time. We only had time on the weekend to remove the plans given our long work week. Once the plants and soil were removed, the leak worsened and the hole was filling up with water at a fast rate. We needed to sit on the ground and empty the water out by hand to keep the garden from flooding again. We put in an emergency call to Heys, and because the office was closed, the answering service had a technician speak with us. I explained the situation that the $1,000 repair was failing and we were basically told "oh well, we only guarantee our work for 30 days - didn't you read that printed on the invoice." Well, no we didn't. So, we called another plumber on an emergency basis and they told us that the Heys fix last year was done improperly and that Heys should have at least guaranteed their work for a full year. Really? Well, I called Heys on Monday and spoke to Dale Heys (the owner) to tell them that we just paid another $925 to fix their mistake, but they refused to warranty anything over 30 days, even if the work was not done correctly in the first place. He insisted that the way their plumber set up the joints would not have caused the leak that we had. So, where did that leave us? $2,000 poorer and mad as heck. Bye bye Heys!!! read more
