Jalapeno Sausage - 4* I've never found a jalapeno sausage that has blown all expectations. They're just always delicious and this one was no different. Burnt ends - 3.5* my partner liked them more than me. I have a friend who makes the best burnt ends and I've yet to find a place that does it nearly as good. Half rack of ribs - 3* small (but to be fair I had beef ribs in mind) and decent. The dry rub was good and the sauce made it even better. Coleslaw - 5* really good and very fresh! The coconut was an interesting yet delicious addition. Mac & Cheese - 4* I liked it more than my partner. Pretty standard Mac and cheese.

I was greeted as before and the owner recognized me and even mentioned seeing my review. We decided to dine in this time and she brought me some Mac and cheese to show they had made changes for better improvement and it was amazing. I must say I have been an elite yelper for years and this is the first time I ever returned after any review and had someone mentioned they saw it and mad improvements in person. This shows they may attention to their customers and how they feel and I absolutely love that! FYI get the burnt ends they are to die for! They are also starting smoked prime rib which they were passing around samples of on Friday and hope they permanently placed that on the menu too!

Atmosphere was kind of like cross between a bbq joint and a family restaurant. My wife got pulled pork dinner and I got the sliced brisket. Both were delicious, however the brisket was the best I have had in some time. Very moist and flavorful with just the right amount of bark on the edges. Only one bbq sauce provided but it was tasty. Sides were good as well, but the fried potatoes with onions were the best IMO. One thing we found odd is that they don't allow substitutions of the sides for a salad. Or substitution of a specific side designated with an entree. Not sure what that's about, so taking off one star for that. Otherwise a great little find and we will be back.

Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe was warm and welcoming. For our meal, we ordered the pulled pork sandwich with collard greens and the BBQ chicken fajitas. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to our expectations. Both dishes had a much heavier sauce-to-meat ratio than we prefer, which overpowered the barbecue flavor instead of complementing it. We had read so many great reviews beforehand, so we were hoping for a standout BBQ experience, but it just didn't hit the mark for us. That said, we truly enjoyed the hospitality and atmosphere, and we can see why it's a favorite stop for many. While the food wasn't our personal favorite, the welcoming service and cozy setting made for a pleasant visit.

We all ordered the French toast breakfast, which was only $7, and honestly, for the amount of food you get, that's a great deal. First of all, the French toast portion was HUGE. Definitely come hungry! It was really good, and the sausage was probably my favorite part of the meal. It was that old-school, ground sausage formed into patties, and the flavor was so nostalgic. It immediately reminded me of the kind of sausage my grandmother used to make. The only real miss for me was the potatoes. I appreciated that they were actual hand-cut potatoes instead of the frozen cubes you sometimes get at restaurants, but they had absolutely no seasoning. Even just some salt and pepper would have helped, although onions and green peppers would have made them even better. Without ketchup, I honestly wouldn't have eaten them. I also had a peach mimosa, which was delicious and refreshing. Rachel, our server, was great. She was attentive without hovering and offered suggestions and recommendations, which I always appreciate. Overall, Grill 309 was a nice breakfast spot with generous portions, really good food, and especially good value for the price. It didn't quite blow my socks off enough for five stars, but I definitely enjoyed the experience and would give it a solid 4 stars.

Entrees: daughter-bacon cheeseburger w/fries. Her dad- 1 lb of Cajun Shrimp. Me. Southwest Salad with a big Salmon added for extra $10. It was worth it and we all agreed, I scored the best dish at the table. It was delicious! (Said everyone). The waitresses were very attentive. So much so, we had 3 different waitresses asking for our order once already ordered. 3 waitresses asking do we need anything else. 3 waitresses asking if we're good. After we paid, another waitress came over and asked us if we were ready to pay. We dismissed the confusion and waved off all the drama but really, though, every waitress who addressed us everytime, was a Lot, all of those women, everytime, had smiles on their faces and were happy that we were good to go. We did enjoy our time there. Food was great.

The pickled(?) carrots were a great touch! I had a bowl of the chicken tortilla soup of the day along with the Caesar salad. I loved the salad's bread crumbs. I'm pretty sure they were made from rosemary bread, and that crunch was amazing! My mom got the Reuben special and said it was delicious, too. Definitely a solid spot if you're looking for a great lunch around town. Can't wait to go back for dinner soon.
