This place used to be good but something must have changed with management or how they're staffing because it's just fallen off completely. Normally I try to refrain from negative reviews but when my order is consistently WRONG for three times in a row AND the last time included raw meat, I think the owner needs to know. The pizza is great, but the person cooking it who I believe is the owner or at least the manager does not wash his hands before he puts the parmesan cheese and the basil on at the end. It would be different if the pizza was about to be cooked and killed all of his germs. When it's out of the oven already and he doesn't wash his hands it's a different story. I have been going to HG since they opened because they always made a great pie. However, the last 3 times I went the pizza was not up to par. They are skimping on the ingredients. Not enough cheese or sauce. Last night's pizza was terrible. Even my 23-year-old noticed how dry it was. I ordered a white pie with tomatoes and broccoli 3 weeks ago and the veggies were sparse. The first time we went here, we tried a Margarita coal-fired pizza. The crust was thin, it didn't have a ton of cheese which I prefer, the flavor was good, and it was cooked just right. One of the worst deliveries we have ever received. Everything we did receive arrived cold. Called Slice who contacted the restaurant. Restaurant stated they had the item and would send it out. Because, yes, I want an item that has been done for an hour and a half to be delivered. They said they would give us 15% off. Told them to keep it and credit it, gave issues with that as well. Their display of various slices at the front counter was impressive to say the least. Each pie packed with generous amounts of mouthwatering toppings. From classic options to the inventive and adventurous like their philly cheese steak and taco pizza they have it all. After ordering from their wonderful staff I almost wish it wasn't such a short wait. Watching the cooks prepare each pie was like watching art being made. But now the real test had arrived.
