Hg Sply is located right above the Trinity River in the Westbend shopping area, it provides a relax atmosphere compared to high traffic area you have to navigate to get here, and serves up some delicious meals while doing so. Our server Joseph brought energy, enthusiasm and friendliness to the meal, we chose Nachos as a starter and Mahi Mahi tacos (2) which we split the fish was light and fresh and the slaw went well with it , I would have preferred less slaw and a touch more Mahi. The Nachos on the other hand were more than we couls even attempted to finish though delicious and well prepared we boxed 60% for the trusty air fryer later in the day.

The food was great! Mimosas and drinks were awesome! Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. The atmosphere was nice as well. Beautiful patio view. Will definitely be returning!

The food was good, I tried the devil avocados for the first time, it was a decent portion and filled me up. I ordered a hunted falafel bowl to go with broccoli and mashed potatoes, as I needed to order an entree too. Service was a little slow at first due to issues with their system going down. But it was better after. I've been here plenty of times and it's always busy and bustling. It wasn't too noisy and it was a pleasant experience.

    MAHI MAHI TACOS

Came in around 3pm. Table ordered steak bites and tuna crispy rice. Steak bites are a hit but the crispy tuna is a hard pass. The rice is perfect, but they put a slab of tuna on top with hardly any spicy flavor. Would like to see them chop up the tuna and add more spice like typical sushi spots. My dad asked for grilled onion on the side of his burger but got raw. Besides that there are no complaints. The Mahi mahi tacos are delicious and packed with flavor. Cole slaw and pickled onions on top r insanely good. Also, make sure to get the pina colada juice. It's refreshing and amazing.

Ambience is on point. Super cute place. Staff is on paint as well. We started with steak bites and they were tender and delish. Got the chickpea queso too and even my country boy husband loved it. Homemade ships were perfect. Had a beet infused margarita and it was awesome! Hubby got the filet, Brussels and sweet potato hash. Is was all amazing. I had mahi-mahi tacos and everything in them was perfect but the Mahi Mahi. It just didn't have any flavor. I would def come back.

Our service was great this entire experience. She was really nice and helpful. The bison meatball appetizers were excellent! The marinara was prepared very well and the meat was soft and delicious. The sourdough bread was so good as well. The crispy chicken sandwich was different. I don't think there is a way that the chef would have known this but the chicken breast was a woody chicken breast. This means that there was a quality issue with the chicken because it was tough to cut and almost impossible to bite into. I wasn't able to eat the chicken so I ate the cole slaw and bread along with the fries. They did offer to bring me something else but at that point I was over it. My partner had sliced chicken breast with Brussel sprouts, rice and beans. His meal was excellent and I'd have that again. The Brussel sprouts were perfectly prepared and the beans were so good.

Our last visit was in December. The place was nicely decorated for Xmas. I got the layered nachos. They were oh so delicious. Every chip was covered in something. Lots of cheese, meat, etc. I would totally get these again. We also got the dessert. I think they only had one. It was a cookie in a dish with ice cream. The cookie was so thin and tasted very much like one from a grocery store. I was very unimpressed with that. Had it been thicker than half a centimeter it would have at least been a little more enjoyable. At least it was warm. Wouldn't get this again. I always feel like their prices are decent. And the location of this one is pretty good. I like that you can view the river while eating.

Hg Sply is a great option for those looking for healthier fare or food that can accommodate restrictions. Service was really good here. There was a wait to be seated even with a reservation. It was also really loud, so it was hard to have a conversation. The food was pretty good and well-seasoned. I appreciated the variety of options and the ability to really customize my meal. I got the campfire k-bobs which were pretty good, although they were a little gristly. At sunset, complimentary drinks are passed around and they do a restaurant wide toast which I thought was really cute.

I love HG Sply. I'm "one of those" and very picky about meat, bacon, etc. And HG Sply does not disappoint! The service is great, they take all my food preferences into consideration always. Also, I have a small dog and he loves their dog friendly, fully enclosed and heated dog friendly patio! Overall, I love this restaurant and will be back!

I like to stop here when visiting my daughter in the Fort Worth area. This place is always hopping and has a lot of great servers. The food here has always been excellent and have never had an issue with anything. The drinks are great. The prices are great. The inside is a large area and they even have a back area with a bar back there too. If you're looking for some great food and great service, this is definitely a place to visit.

Amazing Happy Hour options! Staff was quick to seat and you'll quick to eat. They have both indoors and patio friendly options if your're feeling outdoors-ey. The cucumber smash drink was super refreshing and the Avocado Humus packs a heavy volume but is quite enjoyable in smaller bites. The veggie plate hummus sampler was a bit lackluster despite how fresh the vegetables were. I think what could have elevated the dish was a more bold flavoring choice of the hummus dip.

We poke our heads in (accidentally going through the exit door. the front door is well camouflaged) and just found a wonderful very chilled out bar. Haven't been to a speakeasy in a long time. It was dark lighting with ambient black lights and string lights to keep it dim but you wont struggle to see through. Music was not super loud and the chairs were incredibly comfortable and the whole place was laid out to just have drinks and lounge while talking with friends. No food, which is fine. You have plenty of options on the same block for that. This place is just for drinks and conversation. The seasonal menu was awesome. It iss a bar so they of course can make anything you request if you don't want a specialty cocktail. I got my favorite, a moscow mule but they had a brazilian mule on the specialty menu. I never had that before and ordered it on the spot. It was grapefruit vodka with lime, lots of fine pellett nugget ice (the really good kind) with ginger beer and condensed milk. My god it was great, they told me how they made it because i never saw milk added to this before. It was a delicious limeade that almost was slushy like, creamy and with tangy vodka. Plus they actually served it in a proper copper mug. Best mixed drink ive had period and a cool twist on my favorite standard moscow mule. The place is now going to become a frequent haunt for us. Its very laid back, relaxed, with fantastic ambiance. It doesn't get jammed packed and is not meant to get wild in. We went there around 7pm on a friday night with about 8 or so others already there with their drinks. It did pick up later with 15-20 people in there but still spacious and comfortable. It genuinely was just a nice bar to have drinks and conversations with friends. Nice music that isn't too loud so you can talk with normal voice levels. The bartenders we had were super nice and charismatic. The drinks were not expensive, a respectable 13 bucks for my mule. If you have a bill over 40 dollars they automatically add 20% gratuity to it so keep that in mind when you are tipping. And after 8pm everything had 20% gratuity added to the bill. But the service is so damn good that you will probably still want to tip on top of that anyways. I loved it so much i actually made a yelp account just to post a review. TLDR super cool speakeasy type joint, cool aesthetics and laundry theme. Not loud, good for drinks and chit chat, cool well crafted specialty cocktails that don't break the bank. Good bartenders. Good times. Cozy seats that encourage you to hang out and talk even with folks you haven't met before and dim without being dark lighting. Clean bathroom too and quick charismatic service. Hit this place up for sure even just for the novelty of it. It was a wonderful surprise bar for a date night. Pro tip for this area in general. all paid parking, some place validates some do not, i am unsure if they do here but there is paid parking right out front and also a paid lot literally across the street. But i don't even bother. About a block and a half away northeast is a big shopping complex with a target. i just park there for free and walk. its a short nice walk and doesn't cost 20 bucks.

The noise level was extremely high...we literally had to yell just to have a conversation with each other. Service was also very slow. It took about 15 minutes just to be acknowledged at the bar, and close to 30 minutes to actually receive a drink. When I finally ordered, I told the bartender to make her favorite drink. She made something that included raw egg whites (which I later learned is common in certain cocktails), but it wasn't mentioned or explained at the time. A few hours later, I became very sick...vomiting and dealing with what felt like severe food poisoning all night and through the next 24 hours. After looking into it, I suspect it may have been related to the raw egg used in the drink. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.

The "chips" were not tortilla chips. They were rectangular strips of pale, flimsy material that looked like scraps of drywall film pulled out of a new construction site. An albino drywall experiment that somehow escaped the kitchen and landed on a plate. The entire thing was covered in barbecue sauce, with some mystery white liquid poured over the top. We assume it was supposed to be queso, but it definitely was not queso. Calling it queso feels disrespectful to actual queso.
