Good location, severely understaffed, smell is quite strong and probably not good. Nail salons have some smell, due to the chemicals in everything they use, but this has to be the strongest smelling nail shop I have ever walked into, and their door was open. When I go to a nail salon, I want to feel pampered. I went to Hi Tech Nails on a Saturday afternoon around 4 PM. I wanted to get my nails done the day before the 49er game, and I needed to go somewhere local around Concord as I was waiting for the Fiance to get off of work, and I had about an hour and a half to kill. I decided, after reading some reviews on Yelp, to try out Hi Tech Nails. Let me first say that they were not busy when I went in. There was one lady who was getting a manicure, but other than that, no one was there. When I went in, no one really acknowledged my presence. I don't like that. I like to be warmly greeted when I enter an establishment, not ignored. So that was minus one star. Finally, someone greeted me. "What do you want today?" I was asked. I told the lady, I just want a regular manicure. She said "Okay".... and walked away. Didn't inform me of how long the wait was or anything. Oookay....So, I waited. I waited for about a half an hour. Finally, she finished the other lady's manicure. She told me she could start on mine. Great! The manicure took about 35-40 minutes, which would have been great, had I felt as if I was being pampered. Unfortunately, the lady who helped me could barely look at me the entire time. No trying to make small talk, no "how is your day going?"....nothing. I felt like I was being some kind of burden by sitting there in front of her! This frustrated me. The manicure was $10, which I thought was reasonable, but then they also charge a $1.50 fee for using your debit or credit card. Well doesn't that just suck. Being the nice person I am, I refuse not to leave any tip at all, so at the end, I ended up paying $13.50 for a manicure that honestly, I could have done myself at home. I wouldn't go back, and I wouldn't recommend this nail salon to anyone. Next time, I'd rather drive to Antioch to go to My Nails. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. It's dirty, the nail tech was using old used files and tools on me. She cut me with the drill several times. My nails were uneven and I had lines where the fill was. She barely spoke English & didn't understand what I was saying. I hope state board visits this place and puts them out of business for their lack of sanitiation and hygiene read more

My daughters and I have been going to Helen for 17 years and we wouldn't go anywhere else. The ladies are fantastic, always very nice and do a fantastic job. We have referred many people over the years and all of them are still going and have been for years. It is a must go nail shop. read more

I went there for a full set of pink and whites, one word- AHMAZING! She took out brand new files for me, swept and vaccummed while I was getting my gel cured. My nails are thin and It been three weeks and no lifting. I cant wait to go back! Ask for Helen! She rocks! read more

I have been going to this nail shop for a couple months now and they never let me down with the quality of the product. I have had two different ladies do my nails, I don't particularly know their names though. One I believe was something along the lines of "Carla". She did an outstanding job on my acrylics! She was able to make them look stunning and without any discomfort. She was very sweet and had a conversation with me. She was a lovely lady and I was given excellent service and care and recommend that anyone who is thinking about getting their nails done, check this place out! Great for pedicures I just am not a fan of their color selection, seems to be outdated

I have been here a few time to get my nails done. This last time one of the girls did my nails she rip off my real nail in my nail bed, cut the tips of my fingers, and tried to send me on my way with uneven and crooked nails. When I said something she said my nail was crooked. No, it's not you just did a horrible job. I got irritation and said I didn't even want color. I wanted to know how much I owed. I paid then talk to Halen telling her I was very unhappy. She fixed my nails and then charged me 15 more dollars. Needless to say I will NEVER go back to that salon. Horrible service! Ive been to helen for more than 18 years and she still prefers to take walk ins before me (which i always have an appointment). Shes super rude! Ive always told my family and friends to go to her but no more! I also noticed they never clean there instruments, they keep using the same instruments on different costumers. The chairs and tubs for the pedi's are disgusting! They buff your feet with the same drill thing as the nails! They rush when they are busy and charge you for every little thing! I think if i leave them a $6 tip they should at least say thank you. I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Went here for years. My friend and I went every 2 weeks after work. Helen would make me wait longer and longer. The last straw was she made me wait so long that my friend was done and Helen was still with another customer. Unacceptable. She was very rude when I told her how I felt. Someone else was waiting. I used to live in Martinez and had my nails done regularly at Nails 2000. I also often mailed packages at the local mailing/Copy store in the strip mall not too far from my house and there was a young woman that worked there that always had the coolest manicures/nail polish jobs. I asked her where she had her nails done and she told me "Hi-Tech Nails" over in Concord just at the end of Todos Santos Plaza. I would think , well they are nice but I don't want to drive that far to get my nails done when I can get them done just a couple blocks away. Then just a year later I ended up moving to Concord just a few blocks from Todos Santos Plaza and - Hi Tech Nails. I couldn't wait to try them out. They were everything I hoped for. Great fast service, quality nails of the latest style or just plain mani-pedi at competitive prices. The workmanship is top notch and the artistic skills are as well. You can also get eyebrows plucked, eyelashes added and a host of other sevices. It's a great salon and its conveniently located across the street from Skipolini's Pizza with a parking garage right across the street. I can just walk there so I don't need the parking garage. Yes, that makes it easy but I wouldn't go there no matter how convenient if the work wasn't so great. read more

today was my first day at thia nail salon. My 14 year old daughter went the day before I did she came home and her nails were very pretty. I went the next day because I wanted my nails like my daughter. I really like the way they did our nails. I had gone to a nail shop in ellinwoods to get my nails did i didnt like the way the shop in ellinwoods did,so i got my nails did at HI Tech Nails they are great service was excellent. I wish there was a 0 but I guess 1 is kinda fair since they were very friendly and I was actually considering switching to them for good because of that alone. BUT... I will never come back here again. I only went because my girls by CVS at Aloha Nail were busy and couldn't take me at the time I needed. So I googled and found Hi Tech and they got me in fast. My pedicure was okay, although the lady couldn't massage if her life depended on it. She could have left that part out and saved 20min of both of our time because it was lazy and weak. The real problem is my gel fill. That's all I wanted. A simple fill.. The filing was done lazy, my thumb nail is crooked and uneven. I should have waited til the next day and went to my girls because they never do it wrong. I'm so mad I spent $50 for a fill I could have probably done better on myself. These ladies are certified for this stuff, yet it came out terrible. The gel polish/nails is uneven, has dents, lopsided, uneven, too much paint on one side than the other. I have never experienced this bad of nail service in my life and I've been to several salons. I don't understand why it took 2 hours to do a fill and pedicure when they both have to be redone by the girls I usually go to. read more

Helen the owner, Annie and staff are very attentive and do great work. I usually get manicure, pedicures and eye brows waxed. I understand when people complain about waiting however they have very few employees and when it's busy you have to wait. They do very thorough work and love what they do. Very reasonably priced.
