Shocked and confused I proceeded to remind him of our conversation about my camera where he lets me know that "its a good idea to fix it now because if water gets in it, it'll make it worse". I'm surprised and extremely pleased with this result!! I know my iPhone Xs Max has unique glass and Apple store has more expensive glass screen repair/replacement cost. But this store gave me reasonable pricing and after approx half hour it's done and the glass screen looks new!! I recommend this place! read more

After seeing the number of google reviews (all good) that Hi-Tech Phone Repair has, I gave them a call. Total straightforward quote on my son's cracked screen on his iphone. Teenagers!!! lol. Hearing the quote was half of what I heard calling around, we drove over immediately. Ali fixed my son's phone within 30 minutes. Got some food at the food court. Face ID and Front Camera work like a boss again. :) Super happy with my experience. Now my teenager paying me back for the fix, not so happy. hahaha read more

Ali is a big scammer, crook and a cheater. I went to ask if he got an apple screen for my Iphone X in which I had to put an after market screen overseas after my original screen craked. It was working just fine but very minor issue. He claimed he only have after market and should work perfect and guaranteed. I agreed. After he put it was just same as mine. Then he said he has better quality and same issue. I was getting nervous. Then he remembered that he has an apple screen for $199.00. I thought was too much for a used one but I felt bad for and all the time he had to spend. He installed it and was working and when he put phone togther, the screen stopped responding completely. I was scared because i need my phone and asked him to put my screen back. He said maybe something got lose and opened it again and got it to work after so many tries. Then Face ID was not working. I asked him again I should be ok with my screen. He will not give up. opened again and got face ID works. I told him what if it stops again. He asked me to hang out at Gurnee Mills and if it stops he will take care of me. After less than an hour about 6:50PM screen got locked. I went back because he closes at 9:00 PM on friday and he was closed. I was stressed out and I am glad I kept my old screen back in which he tried to keep it. I had my nephew come 11 at night to replace screen after I recorded how my phone is not working with my wife phone to show him just in case. Next morning I called him to let him know what happened and he told me to come back and he will take care of me. I did the following day and he told me he is only giving me back $72.00 from the $236.00 I paid. I thought he was joking. He told me for his service I had to pay. I was angry and cold the police and mall security before I beat the crap out of him. They assured me what he is doing is extremely bad and no criminal charges could be filed. But I should file a small claim against him (I did and court on 09/16/22) and file a complaint at the mall for closing early. For sure mall did not care because all they wanted his rent and adviced me to take the $72.00. I said no because he will go and sell it to someone else for $199.00. I called to make sure they fix the back of the iPhone 8 plus they said yes and they charge $65 but I have to wait up to 7 days for the part to come in so I told him that I have the new part already then he changed the price to $100 after I drove an hour to get there he said I have to charge you extra $20 because it's crazy cracked seriously the crack is a crack after I agree he said oh I never fixed Iphone 8 or 8 plus so I cant do it the question is you you make me drive an hour while you know you can't fix it !! read more

TOTAL SCAM! Ali quoted me $99 on the phone to fix a cracked screen on an Iphone 8, but when my son got there the price mysteriously went up to $150 stating "there was more wrong than just the screen". They also told my son they have a 30 day warranty with the receipt. He dropped his phone 6 days later and when he went back with the receipt to get it replaced was told "that's only for if something is wrong with the phone - not the screen. That will be another $99". My wife's iPhone 6 had a problem with signal reception and was constantly searching for signal. I've been to two other repair shops in the area. Both shops diagnosed the same issue and both shops conceded they couldn't do the repair. One didn't know. The other said "We aren't equipped to do that kind of work". I just went down the list of shops that Google kicked out and found Hi-Tech Repair. This place came through for me. I explained my problem and the other failed attempts from the competition. Hi-Tech verified the diagnosis and was successful at making the repair. Special thanks to Ali and the service center for bringing the iPhone 6 back to full working order like new! Great job! I absolutely recommend this place. Update 6 days later...the repair failed. I returned to the store and got a refund. I've given up on this phone. I was looking for an iPhone repair shop to replace a broken iPhone 6s screen. Based on the location, I made a few calls to ask for the a price quote. One of the shops quoted me for $120, which to me is very expensive. However this store quoted a reasonable price. So I went to the store in Gurnee Mills and they fixed it in just 20 minutes while I walked around the mall doing some window shopping. I also bought a very good screen protector for a very good price. I would come back here again if I need other phone repairs and I definitely recommend this store. read more

Absolutely terrible. I got my cracked screen fixed here for $100 dollars and then had to go and buy a brand new phone 2 weeks later. Initially I was happy because they fixed my screen in under 30 minutes and everything seemed to be working fine....key work is seemed. Within less than a day my screen kept freezing resulting in me having to restart it on average about 6 times a day. Annoying but wasn't keeping me up at night since after the restart it would work for a good couple of hours. Fast forward another week and my phone completely shuts off and never comes back on. I took it to Apple Support and they said that whoever put my my new screen back on the phone butchered it and killed my phone. Since it was not Apples fault, Apple warranty does not cover any of the damage. So I suggest you go to Apple to get your screen fixed, or at least a better place than this. A complete waste of money and honestly terrible business. read more

AVOID doing business with this company!!! I brought my phone for a routine glass replacement on my iPhone 7 and after THREE DAYS there was a crack in the screen. Never dropped the phone or had any impact WHATSOEVER. The glass OR installation had to have some sort of defect that was not able to be detected when the phone was inspected. Their solution was to spend another 50% of the installation charge to have another screen put in (who knows if that screen was shoddy as well, I didn't get that far because I would NEVER do business with these folks EVER again). *DO NOT GET YOUR PHONE SCREEN REPLACED HERE * worst experience ever... So my friend dropped my phone accidentally and cracked my screen. I have the iPhone 7. He searched up places to get screen fixed and this place was kind of close (20 mins away) and happen to have a sale of $89 and also reviews on GOOGLE did not seem bad (don't trust google reviews..). So we went, phone screen was replaced seemed like everything was solved. We drove 20 mins back home and the moment I stepped out of my friends car, my iPhone screen was unresponsive to any touch. I was getting annoyed because that night I also had to study for an exam the next day. So I just took my car and drove another 20 mins back to the place. They were baffled as to why the screen stopped working. After another hour they replaced my screen again and told me it was because I didn't update my iPhone software so if affected the new replacement screen. They ASSURED me there will be no more issue and that there is a 30 day warranty. Although I was telling them that yeah even with the 30 day warranty, I don't have time to keep making trips like this, like PLEASE really make sure nothing is wrong. Fast forward 2 weeks later during one morning, my iPhone alarms go off for class and I tried turning them off and my phone screen was unresponsive AGAIN. I couldn't turn my phone off and I count turn my alarms off. I'm really busy with full day of classes and I had to stick my iPhone in a drawer to mask the sound and wait for it to die. I was SO PISSED. I couldn't even take it in right away because my schedule was so full and again during exam week. I only had free time on Thursday so I waited till then without phone. But by then when the phone turned back on, the screen was working again so I decided not to go. I thought everything will be fine and that was just a weird hiccup. NOPE. My phone would now randomly become unresponsive and I would have to press the side button to turn the screen off and on for it to work again.... I am EXTREMELY ANNOYED at this situation and upset and I will wait until I have some money to take it to an Apple Store instead..... I just hope no one else has to go through this ever again. I came in on Tuesday, May 31st, 2016 to Gurnee Mills Mall, right across from Burlington Coat Factory. These guys gave me an extremely reasonable price quote over the phone, which in the spirit of competitiveness, many cell phone repair shops refuse to do (not very smart in my opinion). I brought my iPhone 5 to them because the earpiece speaker was not working. An unofficial tech guru in my local community (with a high level of skill) had tried replacing/repairing it 5 times without success. The techs at Hi-Tech Repair Services took my phone in to discover that the entire front-facing camera also needed replaced for the earpeice to work..which they did at NO EXTRA COST. They told me they wanted to honor the original price quote they gave me. They completed the job in under 30 minutes as I shopped. The other repair companies at Gurnee Mills consistently quoted me over 2x as much as Hi-Tech charged me. Check these guys out! read more

Would give zero stars if it were possible. I was happy with my first visit there when my mother took her phone in to them because it somehow went into blind mode and a wire came loose. However, my second visit was anything BUT good. Me and my husband came here because we were happy with the last visit because his charge port on his iPhone was not working properly. Before we went in we tried cleaning dust out as we read online. During that process we look pictures of the port in order to see if we could find something out of place. There was a golden prong missing right in the middle so that was most likely the issue. After that we took the phone into this place. The guy with glasses and a mole on his neck claimed he would put a new port in that included a new speaker and headphone jack in for 45$, so that sounded great to us. He said to be back in a half an hour. We came back and he was finished and plugged the phone in to show us it worked. We left happy. However 1 hour later we decide to look inside the new port. HE DID NOT REPLACE IT WHAT SO EVER. it was the same port with the same prong missing and with full on dust bunnies in the jack and speakers. DEFINITELY not a new port at all. Also once we plugged it into our brand new charge case it did not charge unless we tilted the phone as we had to before it got "fixed". We go back obviously angry for getting screwed over and ask if he replaced it. When we arrive at 8:40 (they close at 9) there was a sign up at the desk "be back in 15 minutes, thanks". Okay.. He comes back at 8:55 with a Starbucks in hand and we confront him. He claims he cannot see the missing prong and charge ports get dusty immediately. We asked to see the old port and he looks in the trash and "cannot find it". We ask if he can actually replace it since he obviously didn't before and then he says he can't because they are about to close in 5 minutes.. Shouldn't of left 20 minutes before your store closes.. Anyways this place is a joke and that guy was an asshole. Do not recommend this place. However if you chose to go here be SURE to stay in the shop when they are repairing your item and watch them. I agree with the review below worst service ever. Went there for the first time so satisfied with customer service, cheap fast and fixed my phone. Came back a month later to fix it again different guy prices raised 30 dollars. I came to get a cracked screen fixed (cause they did such a great job last time). Rudest guy ever with the rudest attitude not good for customer service. I come back to get my phone 30 mins later fixed and everything only to find out he never the put the screen in all the way so my phone completely went black called them right away and told them what happened told me i didnt have to pay again and they would fix it on there part. Went in the next day for him to play dumb and act like he didnt know what happened. He told me it was "my fault" that i pressed to hard on my screen and thats why its broken now. WTF arguing with me and interrupting me is NOT good customer service what so ever beyond appalled. Highly Highly do not recommend what so ever unless you want to pay 120 for a phone that wont get fixed and then an extra 40 dollars to get it fixed again because they couldnt do there job the first time.
