Great for happy hour. The cocktails and bites on their happy hour menu are great. There's a wide selection and they taste good too. The fried brussel sprouts were so good I'll order them every time. They are crispy outside while being perfectly cooked inside with parmesan cheese and balsamic vinegar. The margarita was smooth and not too strong, which works for the time of day. Service is pretty fast and they make sure you get what you want (salt vs no salt on your drink). The outside seating is metal but comfortable and is covered so there's shade. My bestie and I had a quick weekday lunch at Corner Pocket. We went during Restaurant Week. I had the BLT and she had a burger, both with waffle fries. Her burger was cooked perfectly and very juicy. My BLT well loaded and hearty. The waffle fries were crispy and well seasoned. We were able to order, eat, and pay in under an hour. The atmosphere is laid back bar. There are pool tables, corn hole, and outdoor dining options when the weather allows. The beer menu had local and mainstream options. Definitely looking forward to coming back one evening to explore more of the after work activities. read more

Wanted a sandwich on a Sunday night. This place was clean, well appointed, and our server was very good. My husband had crispy Brussels sprouts. He thought they were a wonderful appetizer. We shared a club sandwich. It was amazing. Lots of turkey and crispy bacon on sourdough. The waffle fries were crispy and so tasty. They offer lots of beers on tap, but we opted for the root beer. It was delicious. A great choice. Right near William and Mary with lots of shopping. Will eat here again. read more

Went after dinner on Halloween, the live band was good and played many old rock favorites. We didn't try any food but what I saw looked good. The pool tables were in good condition and the atmosphere was nice. We had a good time. read more

Ate dinner from here two nights in a row. Lol Yeah, it's that good.. The jambalaya is so flavorful, not just spicy, FLAVOR. Love that. The chicken Caesar wrap was so fresh and crisp. And STUFFED full. Hubs LOVED it. The teenager had the buffalo chicken quesadilla and bacon cheese fries... Two nights in a row. That tells you all you need to know. In the mix we also had an adult grilled cheese. Oh yum!!! Grilled to perfection and the tomatoes were fresh and juicy. The shrimp app was also wonderful. The following night I ordered their chicken salad sandwich. Oh dear... I'm hooked now I fear. Crunchy, fine diced nuts, sweet but tangy cranberries... The slightly sweet, with the savory chicken and the added slightly textured crunch of the nuts..... Aaahhh yes, get in my mouffff...! The waffle fries are nicely salted and deep fried perfectly.. On day two of our 10 day vacation to our favorite destination to Williamsburg, Virginia, my wife was looking for places to eat dinner and came across the Corner Pocket and we decided to visit them for our evening meal. We arrived at the restrauant at about 6:45 pm. When we arrived there was only one table that was seated and placing thier order when we arrived. We were seated right away and after looking over the menu I selected the pocket burger and my wife selected the Chicken Quesadilla for our dinner. After placing our order, several other guests arrived. A table with 9 people, and two separate tables with 2 guests each. We got our drink order almost immediately. We waited. And waited and waited but no food came. The table with the 9 people began receiving their appetizers and we had not received anything. About 40 minutes passed and when we inquired, we were told that the chef had burned the chicken for the quesadilla and it had to be remade however, that should not have held up my burger but another 25 or so minutes passed and I finally got my burger but still no quesadilla for my wife. I actually finished my burger and still nothing for my wife. In fact the table that was seated when we arrived had finished their meal, paid and left and every other table was served and still my wife had not received her food. The quesadilla did not arrive until 7:58pm and at that point we requested to see a manager. While all that was going on, the table opposite us noticed that another guest was eating and having conversations with the server in the drink area of the business which is a big no no. However, the manager did come out and instead of speaking with us she went to the other table and listened to their complaints but never came to speak with us at our table and she was right next to the other table. At that point we had no idea "what" could have been done to her food. Needless to say we declined the quesadilla and asked for the check for the burger, a beer and a diet Dr. Pepper. Our cash out time was at 8:13 pm. Suffice to say we will not be returning. For the time of day, there was only one wait staff that was serving not only those in the eating area but in the area around the bar and the pool table areas. Thats unacceptable. In addition the server did not even come back to check on how the dining experience we were having was or to apologize for the delay or even bring us an appetizer as a kind gesture for not receiving our food order. When we inquired of the manager she kept saying that she would be out to speak with us in a few minutes but again she failed to do so. Also as a side note, Smoking was permitted outside of the business, however, there was so much foot traffic in and out of the business near the area where the people were seated for dinner. It would make more sense to have the smokers go out another door, away from where people are eating. read more

Stopped by for lunch and some pool. The food was great, wife got a burger and I got the steak sandwich. What really made the lunch was our fantastic waitress. We go out frequently and both agreed that she was the best at customer service we have had in a very long time. Just extremely attentive and pleasant. Definitely will return in the future. read more

Go for the pool, AVOID frustration by dealing with Wait Staff. The bartender was awesome! I visited on Dec. 27th to play a few games of pool. I only ordered fries, sweet tea, and a plastic fork for the fries (1). When the fries arrived there was no fork or tea. After waiting for a while, I approached the waiter and asked for the tea and the plastic fork (2). After some time, the waiter arrived with the tea and a regular folk. Again, I asked for a plastic fork (3). After waiting awhile and noticing the waiter sitting behind the cash register, I asked the bar tender for a plastic fork (4) and he immediately went to the back to get the fork. When the waiter saw me at the bar, she finally remembered or decided to give me a damn plastic folk. I received the fork 20 minutes after getting the fries, as you can imagine, they were cold as f@ck! I had to ask 4 times for a plastic utensil, what a hot mess. I didn't get her name, but she was short with a lot of puffy reddish brown hair. The place wasn't full at all. I'm not sure why she chose to ignored me, I will say that no other patronts matched my skin completion - but who knows. read more

Glad that there's decent parking! Bartender is super nice and made sure that our group was taken care of when we were there. We also had a pretty big group as well so it was great to see them balance us and the rest of their clientele. The food was decent but I definitely didn't finish it all. I recommend sharing it if you aren't into big portions or just aren't ready to eat a lot. The pool hall portion was where we were and I liked that part of it. Stopped for dinner based on reviews and didn't realize it was a billiard hall with a restaurant. We went at 430 on Saturday and we're the only people eating. Waitress was awesome. Fish and chips were great and so was the firecracker shrimp. Crab cakes and Brussels were also great. Overall a great experience. read more

Tried to enjoy a simple meal while visiting Williamsburg, since had just arrived and got settled in. I picked a place nearby where we were staying in Newtown. I should have read the reviews here, first! We ordered two appetizers with our meal waited an 1hour for the fried Brussels sprouts to come out. The onion rings did not come out with the Brussels Sprouts. The fried Brussels sprouts came out burnt and hard! (See pic). I told the waiter the dish was inedible. He apologized and took it back and like in ten mins. Brought me a new plate of the Brussels sprouts. Still no onion rings! I actually did like the Brussels sprouts, since they came out green instead of black that time. Our orders finally came out. I ordered fish and chips. The fish had no taste, whatsoever! My husband had a bacon burger, which he said was ok. Still no onion rings! We finished our meal and that's when we got our onion rings! 1 hour and a half later! My husband said "I am not paying for those!" After all, he had finished his meal! The waiter took them back! That was a terrible experience! We should have left after sitting there for 30 mins without appetizers! They have pool tables and dart boards and a little band situation-ship. I took my wife and son to the Corner Pocket yesterday for what was supposed to be a nice family dinner. However, I was met with raw seafood, excessively long wait time and an rude and aggressive manager, Adriene Adkins. My son and I ordered the dinner special, salmon pasta, which took approximately 30 minutes to arrive. The salmon was frozen inside and the pasta and broccoli were undercooked. Obviously, it was returned and we ordered sandwiches (decreasing our changes of salmonella or vibrio vulnificus). After another 25- 30 minutes we finally got our sandwiches. My friend swears by this restaurant and so I assumed maybe this was an off day, maybe the kitchen is short staffed, or I dont know. However my discontent was not acknowledged nor a concern for the management. I was not offered an apology, explanation, free appetizer while we wait for our food AGAIN. I got nothing so I asked for the manager. I asked that payment not be processed until I was able to speak to a manager. When the manager arrived at the table, her negative demeanor was clearly present. She placed the receipt on the table. Adriene, the manager CHARGED MY CARD WITHOUT MY PERMISSION before even conversing or introducing herself. More importantly prior to even trying to resolve the matter. She had no intention of every listening me. She simply didnt care. After interrupting and talking over me, she stated that the $5 discount was all she would do to compensate us for the convenience and if I dont like it, I can call the owner, Lynn. A friend referred us to the restaurant and I dont know how we had opposite occurances, but I will never go back again. Our server was great, but food, management, the overall experience was dissatisfying and offensive. The only place I'm referring them to is the better business bureau. read more

We held a corporate event at Corner Pocket last night for about 40 people, and couldn't have been more pleased. The food was outstanding and the space is great for mingling and playing pool. The service was top notch and Rebecca did a great job putting it all together for us. We will most definitely be using them for future events. 10 out of 10, highly recommend. read more

Tried to give this place 3 stars but after waiting 45 min for our appetizer. Just couldn't The appetizer was goat cheese and marinara sauce. Nothing special. Taste was fair then after another 40 min our food came out. My husband did enjoy his BLT salmon sandwich but my crab quesadillas were just ok I have to say our server was very nice and tried his best to get the food out so it's a cook problem. What a great spot! This is our favorite restaurant, and we've lived here for several years. The atmosphere is very comfy; tables indoors and out (heated), background music low-volume enough so you can have a conversation, really friendly wait-staff, and terrific food. Last night, we had the seared brussels sprouts (again), a bison burger with sweet-potato fries (yum!), and a caesar salad. The waitress brought me a few small ice cubes in a shot glass for my cabaret....I like it a little on the cool side. Then, we got up and played a bit of pool I'm terrible, but my husband was doing well and we just shot a couple of racks. It was fun, and the people playing nearby were really friendly and engaging. Great for the whole crew. Billiards is a family centric activity. The bar is smaller and not operating due to COVID. As the name suggests it is primarily a pool hall but it does have a small separate dining area. A small I shape bar situated between. Very clean and upscale. Good food, good selection from which to choose. Though it does have TVs it isn't necessarily the place to watch "the game", they play music. read more

To start with, portions on sandwiches and kids meals are quite generous. Which means the value is quite good. But even more than that, our three meals were very tasty.
