Wife and I stopped for dinner. I am on a liquid diet and get ready for surgery. I wanted to buy myself a bowl of soup for my dinner and explained that I was on a special diet. They would not sell me a bowl of soup. I was told that I could buy soup to go after my wife ate her dinner and take home. Not allowed to have the soup at the table with my wife. What poor service!!! So disappointing. It was a Saturday dinner time and we were visiting the area and visited this place for the first time. Unlike many buffets I've been to, they charged as we entered. Umm okay, no problem. I paid 20%+ tip beforehand, expecting to get some service, although I know this is a buffet. Nope. After the initial process of leading us to the table, it's pretty much a self-served place (you get your own drink, not just food). It's Saturday and the place was pretty packed so I understand they could be busy.. But no human interaction after the counter? They should at least tell us this is a self-served place at the counter so diners don't wait for the server to see them. Aside from the service, food was mediocre and sushi was horrendous in quality and freshness. They do have big selection of food, though. read more

I have been here a few times. The food has always been good. You can't beat the price. One of the best things I like about this place is that new items keep cropping up. My last time has snails and pigs feet. You have to try them before you can say you don't like them. I didn't like them. Your chicken was very dry on most of your dishes tonight. The only redeeming qualities of your place was the honey shrimp, the BBQ ribs, & your ice cream. The fried rice was cooked but not rinsed. It was sticky rice tonight. Your crab Rangoon's were hard to eat tonight. All of this and it's a Friday tonight. The buffet is way over priced & needs more beef dishes on it. I will not be here again. Two stars is reaching for your review. Your place really deserves a 1 star rating but because of you redeeming qualities, I still have it a 1 star. First off you pay up front and if your using a debit or credit, why would you tip without knowing the service. 2nd , the crab legs tasted and smelled like str8 up ammonia. The lady that was wiping the buffet must of been using some sort of strong cleaner on the rags because we couldn't eat the rest of the crab because not only did it smell strong but it tasted very bad and bitter. 3rd, its so busy and crowded that the place can not stay clean, it's horrible and the bathrooms are even worse. The ice cream had hair in it, my chicken had a bone, there was leftover antennas from the shrimp on the wall right next to me. This place is just over all discusting. I like to bring my friends, co-workers, and relatives here at Hibachi Buffet. You only pay between $9.49 - $14.99 for each adult and you got to choose all the food they have at the buffet from Mongolian grill, sushi bar, salad bar, all kinds of vegetable saute, noodles, soup, bake salmon, bake Tilapia, Pizza, French fries, garlic bread, all kinds of deserts and ice cream, etc. Yes, your stomach can get bloated here if you are greedy. The place is very clean and doesn't smell like some other buffet restaurant. I can hardly smell the food they cooked at Mongolian grill area because they have good exhaust fan. I highly recommend this place for any gatherings and regular or quick meal. Eat wisely. read more

As far as high volume food service can get this place does a great job with their presentation and flavor for the food. I think that the décor needs some help. If I were them I would frame up the bussing station and put a two way blind enter and exit on it so it is out of the sight of customers. Its kind of an eyesore. The bathroom mirrors are still in the boxes in the mens room on the counter by the sink and have been there for 4 months. Please hang them immediately, so I can give you that extra star to five. Great price but some of the employees who come out of the kitchen can make this place not appetizing, they come out dirty and carrying new trays of food. Most of the employees are not attentive, don't smile and they don't talk to you, they just come and take your plate away, a few times they have taken plates when my family were still eating from. If you go late, they don't bring new food out so you just have to eat whatever they have available. Sundays are very busy during lunch time and the line can get very long, last time we waited a little over 30 min. to be seated. read more

Found this place on Yelp, thought we'd give it a try. Always looking for good buffets. First thing I noticed was how clean it was, which isn't the case with some Chinese buffets. You totally get your monies worth here, only $13.99 for an adult for dinner! However, drinks are not included. The quality of the food is pretty decent for the price you pay. It's a decent size buffet and the staff is very friendly. We had a group of 8 people and they were so nice to seat us at a table for 10 to give us elbow room! This new Chinese buffet place in auburn open on December 20, 2013. This place is large with plenty of seating. There are booths that line the outer wall, while it has table and chair in the middle of the layout. There are 4 hot food steam table, and 2 long cold food table. They also have a Mongolian grill with your choice of 4 sauces. Not the biggest selection of sauces, but its a effort at something new in a Chinese buffet. Next to the Mongolian grill selection is a sushi table. Not a lot of choices in sushi, with almost everything being a variation on California roll. But the sushi chef is always making sushi, so it is relatively fresh. Prices are pretty standard with Chinese buffet in the area. 8.99 for lunch, 12.99 for dinner and weekend. Soda is an additional .89 to the meal and you pay as you enter the establishment. The restaurant was clean and nicely furnish. There is a lot of blank spaces on the wall, but there are artwork to break up some of the blank space on each wall. It could had use a little more color, but it could have been clutter. I wish that they had done a design on the back wall where the Mongolian grill and sushi table was located. It was just a giant white wall made of white tiles. The blinds are a dark red and the table are also a dark red. I was here for the lunch menu, and can say that they have a really nice selection of food. The selection is pretty standard to chinese buffet, but I enjoy the bake mussel and stuff crab shell. They have 4 soups, egg drop soup, seafood soup, hot and sour soup and another soup. Food was constantly being change out while I was there, and it seems like their cooks was doing a great job of keeping the buffet stock. Some of the food are pretty bland, while other had a lot of flavor to them. Their bake mussel had a white cheese sauce over it instead of the traditional yellow melted cheese you would find at another buffet place. It was pretty tasty and I probably had more than I should of. Their stuff crab shell was also very good, but I think I would pass on the fry scallop and green bean the next time I'm here. I was thinking of trying the Mongolian grill, but I didn't. I decided to leave it for my next trip here, since I didn't see it until after my first plate of food. The service was really good for a buffet. On my side of the restaurant layout, there was 2 waiters/waitress. There was another 2 on the other side of the restaurant, so they were always removing plates and refilling drinks as needed. Running into our table. The table next to use head a large family & a made a huge mess of the table, ok....but the people cleaning the table was willing the food scraps towards our table & some hit our table top close to my plate. Rest went onto the floor.... Then an uncontrolled monster came running thru the thought walkway between our table & the one being cleaned.... It's sad because i thought the food was great... We had dinner here on a Tuesday and it was very good, more than what I expected. The place is clean and bright with lots of tables and the food looked fresh and not like it's been sitting out there for hours. I ate mostly the seafood as I was trying to get the most bang for buck. Foods that I kept going back for were the honey glazed shrimp, salt/pepper shrimp, clams, scallops, sushi, stuffed mushrooms, crab mix (imitation crab), grilled octopus & baked salmon. There were a lot more meat items but I was on a seafood mission, but did try 1 or 2 pieces here and there which were good. The sushi actually was pretty good, tasted fresh for a buffet style. Not a huge selection, I would say about 10 or so different types. I tried some of the fried stuff like the fried shrimp & chicken and they were ok too. They also had a good selection of salad stuff which I passed on to try to load up on the more pricier items. There was also a Mongolian grill type setup with lots of different choices, but I didn't try it, maybe next time. There's a good selection of desserts - pastries, lots of fresh fruits, jello, pudding, and about 8 different flavors of self serve ice creams. The staff was very friendly and would always promptly pick up finished plates and refilled our drinks even though they have a self serve soda fountain. Price for dinner before discounts were $12.99 for adults and $3.99 for kids. We got a 10% discount because of their grand opening special plus my parents got a senior citizens discount. My boyfriend and I got food poisoning here, though my son didn't. I'm not sure what it was that made us sick. Also, I was grossed out by the ice cream bar. I would suggest that they have an employee man the ice cream station. I saw a young kid reaching in and scooping ice cream and licking fingers! I come here a lot because of the value. For one thing , it's like $12 a person for dinner, and when you check in on Yelp, you get a 10% discount. The food isn't amazing by any means, but there's a lot in selection. I like to eat high in protein, and keep my food intake as clean as I can, so I usually first gravitate toward the fish (the steamed sole in particular). The salmon is only so-so. I find it to be rather odd that a lot of what they have out there is covered in mayonnaise (mussel, scallops, baked salmon, etc), so I always scrape it off before I eat it. This place can be absolutely packed on a weekend after 7pm, or on any holiday, and it's even more so when there's large parties involved. Sometimes I'll treat myself to their ice cream- the cotton candy flavor is pretty dank. Also, sometimes they serve those little square dessert brownies I had when I was in elementary school, which is kind of cool. If you're looking for high-grade buffet, go elsewhere, but if you are crazing decently presentable buffet at a cheap price point, this is the place. read more

My family and I had Saturday seafood buffet after checking out WA State Fair. The food and service were excellent. We enjoyed the traditional buffet style Chinese food like fried chicken wings and beef broccoli. In addition the fried crab, shrimp and crawfish were delicious too. The salad, fruit and dessert bar were loaded with fresh items too. Too bad it is too far from where we live. We will love to go there more often. read more

Went there for a late night diner. This place has possibilities, but it is new and they have some stuff to figure out. They have Crab, and I saw some people found crab crackers, I couldn't find them and they were so busy I couldn't track anyone down to help me find any. So didn't eat much Crab. The Variety for the food is good. But the flow isn't there, and when they would bring something out, people would fill there plates and empty certain things quickly. There were a lot of large families of 10-25 people the night we were there. And they would grab a couple plates each and load up on Ribs on one plate, crab legs on another plate... etc. The Ice cream is hard to get to, and surrounded by people that want Ice Cream. The other desserts were not very good. 2 different kinds of dried out creme puffs, and some type of cake and a macaroon, and some type of sugar cookie. They have Pepsi products, so that is always a plus for me. I am pretty sure we will go back. read more
