    Teriyaki Spicy Chicken. Big portions
    Frisco A.

Customer since 2008! Over those years they've stayed consistent over the many management/owner changes. I love that they've stayed pretty much the same over the years! If you order to-go, please note the breaded fried dishes don't travel well, instead take a seat and enjoy the freshness of their Sesame chicken or gyoza. They have the best spicy chicken teriyaki in King and Pierce county! That particular dish does travel well so I get it to-go and leftovers are plenty unless you're starving. Great post hike meal - they're close on Sundays tho. For lunch their teriyaki bowls are the perfect portion but if you go with their lunch combos, which comes with a plain yet delicious salad, you're in for a food comma. Leftovers are always plenty, but the fried breaded dishes don't microwave too well IMO. I love, love this place. It's Auburn's hidden gem!

No extra meat but tons of undercooked veggies.

Ordered extra meat, got extra veggies instead. Overall the food is good. But not good enough to not get what I paid for.

Teriyaki honey sesame chicken combo. Mushy rice. Very rubbery Sesame chicken.
    Josh H.

Just received delivery of teriyaki and honey sesame chicken combination. The combos come with no vegetables or salad. Just a pile of meat and rice. The rice was mushy. The honey sesame chicken has very thin breading and the meat was very rubbery. Not a pleasant texture at all. The teriyaki chicken came with hardly any sauce on it and there was no extra sauce with the delivery. The chicken was just meh. This restaurant needs to provide rice that hasn't been over cooked and sitting around for a long time. I've never actually had wok fried chicken come out this tough and rubbery. They should always provide extra teriyaki sauce to drizzle on your chicken just before you eat it. Otherwise the steam and sweat that occurs inside to go container waters down the existing teriyaki and washes it to the bottom of the plate. I received no soy sauce and no napkins.

Pork fried rice. Very buttery and salty.
    Trish H.

I had the pork fried rice. Nice portion, but the meat is gross. The rice itself is very buttery, there's a puddle of orange liquid on my tray, and some bites are very salty. It's just okay. Not my favorite.

    Pork yakisoba...yummy!

I love this place! Their food and service are terrific. Everytime I come here I am never disappointed with the food. Always a pleasure to come here and I never have to wait. Keep up the awesome work!

This place is legit. Super fast and convenient. Very respectful young man. Everyone whom works here asked about my daughter. Just the kind of spicy I was looking for. Crispy Gyoza. Clean. Comfortable. Good pricing. Love it. Been coming here for years and will keep coming any chance I get. The chicken was a bit dry.

Wonton soup that they used pot stickers as their dumplings... Bleh

Taste was great, however not enough shrimp like 6 little shrimps for the price. Would have like a little more protein.

We ordered the Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, Spicy Negi Ramen (level 4 hot), an order of Gyoza, and an appetizer order of Karaage Chicken. Both of our Ramen bowls were absolutely delicious!! I'm used to eating very authentic Ramen when I lived in San Diego so this was a first for being in this area. It was a great portion size, beautiful presentation and everything tasted so good. I think the egg could've been cooked a little bit less so it would be not so well done so to speak, but it was delicious still. Also, the chicken appetizer was a good, but not as flavorful as some Karaage Chicken I have had. I probably wouldn't order that one again even though it was good, just lacked flavor and was a bit grisly. The service was outstanding. They are very kind and very attentive. The place is very clean. The bathrooms are nicely stocked and very clean as well. The lobby is beautiful and we will definitely be back!

Price Point - There are several meat options served here that are very expensive but we tried it all. My personal favorites were the Spicy Pork Cutlet, the Salmon and Rice Bowl, and the wagyu sirloin skewers. Being from Missouri I knew that the prices would be a bit more than what I was used to but it really wasn't that significant. For 4 people who ordered a little bit of everything, we spent 140$ That's three appetizers, 2 sides, and 5 main dishes. For special occasions, celebrations, corporate dinners, this place seems like a great option. Now, in regard to the portion sizes. Pretty simple explanation, they do feel a bit small. Lastly, do they have options for children? I would say no but that depends on what kind of food your kids eat Hahha. This is more of an adult restaurant not particular organized for kids meals. Overall, I definitely recommend everyone check this place out. The food is so fresh and flavorful. We lived the experience and would definitely come back if we find ourselves in town again.

The place is very small which makes sense since he only serve 1 group at a time. This might be my personal opinion but Because it's only one group, I hoped it would have been a little more interactive, like the chef could have explained his technique and skills while we were waiting or at least let us see what he was doing. We sat at the bar table but it was blocked by a counter so we couldn't see anything and he didn't talk and we had to wait around 15 minutes for our first dish. Foodwise: 10 piece nigiri --- love the different fishes that was available and all of them has their own distinct texture and flavor. My husband who loves nigiri said it was a fun experience. Scallop inari - scallop was cream and soft and smooth, I think the sweetness was a little overpowering though. Seabass crudo --- for how little there was of the fish itself, there was a lot of olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. After finishing the fish, I was hoping to have some bread to eat more of the oil. Special maguro don--- I love this dish - the fish melts in your mouth, the rice went well with the fish and the wasabi was delicious. Price was also very reasonable for the quality of fish. Overall, it was a good experience, I definitely would recommend

The interior is HUGE and can easily fit a couple of hundred people if not more. They have a bar in the front and a small resting area, which needs to be bigger to accommodate the people standing around waiting for a table. Despite the size of the restaurant, they only use a quarter of their restaurant at a time, likely because they lack workers. On a weekday evening at around 7pm, we waited over 40 minutes for a table even though there was plenty of seating to be had. Tokyo serves a variety of different meat and combo options including filet mignon, chicken, scallops, ribeye, shrimp, calamari, etc.. Each combo comes with miso soup, side salad (iceberg lettuce with tomato and shredded carrot with ranch) , and a bowl of white rice with the option to upgrade your rice to fried rice for $6 more. They also have complimentary piña colada sherbet for dessert. For my meal, I chose the CALAMARI + SCALLOP combo. For those who have never had teppanyaki before, it's as much about the show as it is about the meal. It's an interesting setup as you and your party sit with other parties around a large grill- it's social dining. After you get your soup and salad, the teppanyaki chef brings his cart over to the table and lights up the grill with alcohol and oil for a fiery opening. He then starts grilling food and puts the food directly on your plate depending on what people ordered. For the first course, the teppanyaki chef grills mushrooms and onions for all. He then flips eggs and makes fried rice. Afterwards, he starts grilling the meat and then grills another round of veggies (bean sprouts and cabbage) for everyone. There are two dipping sauces: A1 Sauce and A2 Sauce. A1 (soy-based) is used for beef and chicken and A2 (mayonnaise-based) is used for seafood. I personally preferred A1 much more than A2 as it was sweeter and less watery. Then again, both sauces fell flat in my opinion. It would have been better if they had provided teriyaki sauce instead. Unlike the usual CALAMARI rings that you get at most restaurants, they grilled a steak of it and cut it up into small pieces. It was moist but kind of rubbery with little taste. The SCALLOPS were better than the calamari, but I can honestly say they weren't super sweet or flavorful either. I tried a bite of my companion's FILET MIGNON and I regret not getting that instead. It was moist, juicy, and tender. Now I know to order steak when I go to another steak house. Portions are generous and I was stuffed by the end of the meal. With that said, prices are between $20-$30 per person and other than the piña colada sherbet, I can't say that I was impressed by the quality of the food; the food was just bland. Our chef, Sonny, was extremely nice, personable, and attentive, putting on a fantastic show for our party. However, as aforementioned, the general service was on the slower side and I definitely wouldn't wait 40 minutes again for a meal. The atmosphere is dark and the music is loud and so you can't really have a conversation with the people around you. The interior is also worn and dated and in much need of a refresh. Overall: 3/5 for food, 2.5/5 for service, 2.5/5 for atmosphere
