They did a great job with keeping the place up to code with covid and the food was amazing to say the least. I enjoyed every bite I had. I will say it would be better if the food was guaranteed fresh however I don't know what goes on in the kitchen so it's not up to me what they do or what is happening. Who knows? Plus the food is really affordable and I love being able to eat as much as I want and pay less then 10 dollars. But for their sake it would be wiser to raise the prices at least 15-25. read more

Better than most. Nice assortment of sushi, hot Asian foods, both fried, steamed and sauteed. Hibachi grill with standard veggies plus shrimp, beef, chix and pork. Typical items of chix with broccoli, calico or baby clams in black bean sauce, strips of steak, pork roast. Steak was tough. Pork roast dried out till it died.....like shoe leather. Steamed blue crab was very good and meaty. Suateed octopus fair. lacked any taste. Some parts like rubber. Hard to chew. Calico clans were delicious.Shrimp in lobster sauce was very good. Salad bar of typical salad items plus seaweed salad, kimchi, pickled turnip strips. Desserts were mediocre​ to say the least. Ice cream very good, not icy or grainy. Fresh fruits we're excellent. Pineapple, sliced apples and oranges plus canteloup, honeydew and watermelon. For the dinner price of $10.59, $9.00 for seniors, you can't beat it. I love this place and eat here often. I would give this place a zero star if I could. I went here ate and tipped. I realized i missed place my phone and tried going back to find it and I was told no phone was found. When i bought a new phone and tracked the location it was located at the restaurant. I had a feeling a worker had my phone, I asked the manger to ask her employees and she didn't. I used to frequent this place before it came under new management. It was my go to spot when I wanted to stuff myself with cheap Chinese food. Last time I tried to go it was temporarily closed to be renovated for its reopening. I just went back and I was not disappointed. In fact, they made several small improvements that is going to keep this place my go to spot for a Chinese buffet. The interior is exactly as I remember it. They added a few lights on the front door/glass but everything else remains unchanged. Please note that the 5 star rating I gave this place is in comparison to other buffets of this type. Meaning don't expect fine dining here but this place is one of the best of its type I have frequented. One of the two biggest areas they made a change in is the food. They have added several unique items that are not usual suspects at Chinese buffets. Some that come to mind off the top of my head are fried crab meat wrapped in bacon, Japanese chicken, flan and fried squash. I'm sure there were some unique cold seafood and vegetable offering there as well. However, since I'm there for junk food only I really didn't pay attention to any of that. Overall, the food was excellent for this type of venue. Best way to describe it is that if you compare their dishes to exact dishes at other buffets; their food tasted much better. Most of the food was fresh and hot. A few dishes were cold and a few meat selections were stale/tough meat but I can forgive that since 95% of the dishes tasted like it was just cooked. The second improvement was the price. Previously the dinner was $11.50. Now the price is unbelievably low at only $10.59. My bill came to only $12.09 (dinner +soda) for dinner. Service was good. The waitress had the typical charisma you would expect at this type of venue (which is none). Yet, she cleared the empty dishes quickly, refilled our drinks as soon as they were empty and timed bringing our check to us perfectly. To me thats good service. This is a local buffet that offers some sushi and other Chinese based dishes. The ambiance and the decor is old and boring and designed more to maximize seating than a quiet eatery. The left side offers sushi and a fruit bar. Nothing to expensive or fancy but beginners like us will enjoy. The shrimp, salmon, and tuna rolls tasted fresh. Add a little wasabi to the soy sauce as most are bland and need a dipping sauce. The back side is a traditional hibachi griddle with some proteins like shrimp and chicken and the noodles and vegetables to go with it. There is a doorbell to get service and the requisite tip jar too. The center and far end of the buffet are mostly Chinese based dishes. They do have peel/eat shrimp and crayfish also. Most dishes are in need of seasoning and taste like they are made toward senior population. Most fried dishes and items are squishy and sitting too long (or too much made at once). Pricing for dinner was around 11 dollars for adults without drinks. Children under 10 are about 1/2 price. The kids drinks were under 2 bucks each. Total for family of 4 was about 50.00 with full tip. The staff does clear away dishes fast and signs everywhere threatening wasted portions will add to bill. read more

We've been here a few times since it's change over ( new owners / new name) & the quality, food selections, customer service and all over presentation is quite pleasing. Selections of freshly prepared sushi are in abundance and exceptionally good. The prices are very reasonable and the new grill area is #1 in my book as you can get exactly want you want prepared right in front of you. She swooped in, cleared the table of the plates, napkins and silverware. The only thing she didn't do was wipe down the table and take the drink cups. I was going to go back up and get something else but it was obvious our "waitress" wanted us out of there. Out of curiosity I wanted to see if the cold food was in fact cold or room temp. Oh my god. I just left this place. My boyfriend hasn't smoked cigarettes in a year and he just asked me if he can have a drag. We questioned EVERYTHING in this restaurant. Please, PLEASE stay away!!!!!! I also noticed that none of the employees were eating the food. The whole kitchen staff was eating Pollo Tropical. If that's not questionable, I don't know what is. Mediocre at best. Had the Sushi buffet, many options and seems pretty fresh at first. Tried a couple hot meal items, ate mostly chicken and fish. All the warm food was pretty good, the fried food items such as shrimp, Rangoon, and spring rolls were cold and hard. Tried the fresh fruit, that was also really good and they had a huge selection of it too. The deserts were unique and tasted pretty good; mostly ice cream, sherbets, mini eclairs, and cake petites. Also tried the plum wine, I'm not sure if it was past its expiration date or it was supposed to taste more like a Grappa wine?! Mid way through our dinner we started feeling a little sick from the food already and decided to leave. Let's just say it was in need of a makeover. Walking in, there was an unpleasant smell of , maybe, seafood? The buffet didn't have many of the usual Chinese dishes. My fav is egg foo young which was a big 0. Egg rolls tasted off. Beef was tough. My grandkids didn't care for any of it, even desserts. This place was good about take precautions for covid-19 by taking your temperature as well as giving you gloves to serve yourself at the buffet. We left however because they did not have tuna rolls. This place can be very annoying! ALWAYS have to ask for water you can die of thirst! They NEVER mark the foods that are displayed and I hate that. Am here now. As previously mentioned many inexpensive chicken dishes. As others have said for this type of place, an inexpensive Chinese buffet, it is fine. Don't expect gourmet food, but they have some good dishes. If you happen to be over 62, which I am they have a special lunch price of 5.99 that is exceptionally reasonable for all you can eat buffet. Drove past here yesterday and noticed that it was under new management. I like buffets and was looking for a good one in my neighborhood. Tonight I went with 5 friends and we were all pleasantly surprised with the food. They have a huge sushi section which was very fresh and colorful. Then there was fruit and puddings. Fruits were very sweet. There is a large salad bar again very fresh. Some nice but standard buffet dessert items and a nice ice cream bar. They also had habachi station in the back which looked great but we were too stuffed to try, next time.The hot food was a mixture of chinese and American. I had no complaints. Everything was tasty and hot. The staff kept everything full. Our server was sweet. She came over quite often to clean up and fill our drinks. The prices were very good $10.59 for adults and kids (3-10)were $4.99 kids under 3 were free. They even have lunch specials Mon-Fri $6.99 adults and kids $3.99 a dollar more per person on the weekends. I would recommend it and I'll definitely go again. I just hope they keep up the standards I saw tonight so many of these places don't after a few months, but if they do I'm sure they will be very successful! read more
