This was my second visit here. Like my first visit last year, I initially was the only customer when I arrived around 12:45 pm. on the Monday after Easter. Also like my first visit, this place found a way to shoot itself in the foot. "Gisela" warmly greeted me. She sat me in the same first booth as last year. No sign of my waitress Jennifer from last year. The first thing I noticed different was a nice salad bar. Gisela asked if I ever had been there previously. I replied "yes." She then said I must know how they do things there. As it turned out, I did not. Later, she informed me that they now are under new management from my first time there. They no longer have a traditional menu. Unfortunately, I had read neither their website nor the recent reviews since last year to know of the changes and stupidity. So now it's a Brazilian steakhouse. Since I never had experienced a Brazilian steakhouse style of service, I had difficulty understanding Gisela trying to explain to me how it worked. I requested more time to analyze the menu. I also should add that the ambiance is pleasant but a little dark as is the menu in certain places, making it difficult for me to read. I think I had left my reading glasses in the car. So Gisela waited on a couple seated behind me which had arrived after me. They ordered the Brazilian meat all-you-can-eat and helped themselves to the salad bar. I saw no "salad bar only" option on the menu. Gisela said I could order only salad bar. However, I had a feeling I would be charged the same as the combo with the meat service. I decided just to go along with the program by ordering the same thing as the couple behind me for $24.99. She brought me a glass of water. I have zero complaints about the food. The salad bar included meatballs and noodles and enough variety to order just salad bar if they encouraged it. I wouldn't see Gisela much more until time to pay. Within minutes of returning from the salad bar, a guy emerged from the kitchen with his first of many skewers. I accepted a piece of chicken with bacon as did the couple behind me. So my best analogy is a Chinese dim sum place. They come around every couple minutes to offer you another item. You pay à la carte for dim sum as the waitress checks off any item you accept. However, Toreros is all you can eat for one price, not à la carte. The man speedily emerged every two minutes with another type of meat. It was fast service considering I was one of only three customers. I felt like I was eating fast to race him so I could have room on my plate before his next return! I prefer to take my time and not be rushed. I didn't think to ask for an extra plate. By the time he emerged at the end with a rack of lamb, I felt I should pass as I was getting full. I returned to the salad bar for some tasty asparagus, watermelon, and other stuff. Some reviews allege their food was not fresh. My food tasted fresh. I did wonder whether the meats had been prepared a while ago since the guy began serving me quickly after my first trip to the salad bar. They must cook it ahead of time on the assumption that they will have customers eventually. The guy put the traffic light sort of thing on the table. He tried to explain what each light means regarding service requests. I missed the part about which light meant "check please." So I found Gisela bored at her podium. She asked me cash or card? I had cash on me. I did not know the price would be cheaper paying by cash. I replied, "card." She brought me her portable machine. The usual screen popped up with the tip percentages. I was a little puzzled when she said that was the screen to tip if I wanted. Like, why wouldn't I tip? I assumed she just was being humble and courteous. So I tipped 18%. She hadn't done much but the place had few customers, she seemed nice enough to, so give her some money. The total popped up at $40 plus change. Initially, I declined her offer of the receipt. I returned to my car. I sat in my car in the parking lot. I tried to calculate in my head how the hell my tab came to $40 for a $24.99 buffet, maybe a $4 tip, and $2 tax? Reluctantly, I walked back in and asked for a receipt. Gisela retrieved her machine and printed it out for me. I returned to the parking lot. Only then did I read and learn what many reviews have mentioned. They charged an extra $1.18 for paying by card. They added a whopping $5.03 service charge of 18% for my party of one! All that without really telling me before I thought I was being generous by tipping the girl who brought me a glass of water $5.38. read more

Food: we ordered the unlimited meat. It was not worth the $40 price tag. First the meat was overly salty. Every single piece of meat brought to us tasted like I was chugging table salt. Mind you this was when the server with me actually came to our table. Service: awful. The restaurant was not very full yet they had two men going around with the meat. Normally, this would feel as though it would be sufficient to serve a restaurant customers who are eating the unlimited stake and meat meal. However, within the first 30 minutes, one gentleman came over and offered me two silver dollar sized pieces of meat and then came back later with grilled pineapple. I watched one of the servers continually skip over our table. It almost felt purposeful, however, I can't prove one way or the other. Either way, the servers are wearing headsets and you can hear them telling the server at least four times to come to our table. He did not come until I stopped him as he walked past me when I said, " excuse me I'd like some meat." he seemed to have been caught off guard. That was the straw that broke the camels back. I went here with a family member this past Saturday and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. The deals are extremely misleading. What's advertised outside sounds like a good value, but once you're seated you quickly realize the price goes up and the value goes down. The meat portions were cut very small, far from what you'd expect for the price you're paying. On top of that, the food itself was very bland and lacked flavor. Nothing stood out, and several items tasted under-seasoned and not fresh. For a place charging premium prices, the quality just wasn't there. Overall, the food was not good and definitely not worth the cost. Between the misleading pricing, tiny portions, and lack of flavor, this was not an enjoyable dining experience. My husband and I visited this restaurant. We arrived during a quiet time--around 2:30 PM--so we received personalized attention; there were only two tables occupied at the moment. We had wondered if we'd made a mistake by switching from the restaurant where we originally had a reservation, but my husband had spotted this place a few days earlier and wanted to try the food. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise! From the moment we sat down, the service was warm; the lady explained everything in detail, and the servers bringing the meats were incredibly friendly, polite, and cheerful. They came to our table constantly with fresh meats cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this place: it's spacious, features lovely Florida-style décor, and the prices are very reasonable--$39.99 per person for all-you-can-eat meat (including chorizo, chicken, and pork) and the salad bar. I was very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I thought it was a seafood restaurant but it wasn't. It is also a Brazilian stake house. I was happy with my experience here. The inside of the restaurant was nice. The lighting was low. Each table had a nice wine bottle displayed. The water goblet and wine glass were a nice touch. It felt like I was in a stake house except if when I looked up. The ceiling had nets, crabs, and sea-like decorations lol. They have two menus here. One is the seafood and the other is the Brazilian meats. Each one has a different price. I had a seafood boil which I loved. It was good. I got to watch some of the other tables do the meats. Came here with a party of 15 to celebrate a birthday, and the experience was a letdown from start to finish. Before arriving, we checked the menu online and planned accordingly, but once we got there, we were told there was no kids' menu--the only option offered was to order fries for the kids. We agreed, but the fries didn't arrive until an hour later, long after everyone else had already finished eating. The food itself was mediocre at best. They only had one person serving the meats for the entire restaurant, which meant half our table received food while the other half waited around 20 minutes for the server to come back around. The seafood boils were bland and not worth the price. To top it off, when I tried to order a drink, I was told they "didn't have time" to make it--even though the restaurant wasn't closing for another two hours. Overall, the service was slow, the food was average, and the experience was frustrating. For the prices they charge, this is definitely not a place I'll be returning to. I was torn between 3-4 stars. It was my first time coming to this location and I was expecting something different based on a recent social media post (I should have known better) and other promo. Everything seems a bit mis leading but we learn and we learn. So I must say that the service was fantastic the entire time from the hostess which was out server and all the gentlemen that brought the meats. So we decided to do the meats "buffet" and try the seafood another time. The meat buffet is $19.99 JUST the meats if you want any sides or food from the salad bar is $26.99. Seafood and other things are separate. Some of the meats were really good like the ribeye, however others like the churrasco had an odd taste. I don't think the meat buffet was worth it. There seems to be some confusion as to what this restaurant is now. Is it an all you care to eat meats carved at your table restaurant or the red crab restaurant or both? Lunch for the carved meats buffet which included ribeye, skirt, top sirloin, chicken rolled in bacon, sausage, and my favorite, an extremely juicy leg of lamb. There were countless delicious salad items to choose from and my favorite fried plantains. The greeter was extremely pleasant and turned down the speaker so my friend and I were able to talk. Our server was excellent at carving the meat and made the experience extremely enjoyable. The cloth napkins and glass stemware gave the restaurant a touch of elegance. The only disappointment was I had a Restaurant.com certificate for the Red Crab Seafood & Grill located at 3887 W. Hillsboro Blvd that they said was not good. I had purchased it in September 2024!!! When I went on the Restaurant.com website after I had left the restaurant, the certificate was still there. The certificate was good and should have been honored. We have always driven by this place and my brother always wanted to try it. Now me personally I am not a sea food person, being Easter we ended up going there. It wasn't busy it was rather empty. Our waiter was Daniel and he was super nice and attentive. He answered any questions we had and always asked if we were ok, if we needed something and how the food was, he was great. We told him it was our first time being there and he explained to us that they had a special of Rodízio going on or the sea food menu. He said that the back of the menu was unavailable since it was being changed. We decided to do the rodizio he said the salad bar was included and the price. The food was good. The lamb was a litte bit salty but still good. The drinks were good, my brother had a coconut mojito and I had a Virgin passion fruit mojito. The salad bar had a good variety and had some hot dishes like pasta, rice, meatballs, mashed potatoes, shredded beef and soup, the crème brûlée was also good. The restaurant had a pirate theme which is cool, is not fancy but it is cool it's unique. However, the only thing was the bathroom. I don't like leaving negative reviews, and when I do, it is with the intention of drawing the restaurant's attention to issues regarding the food, prices, staff, customer service, etc. Toreros Red Crab in Deerfield Beach is the worst Rodizio-style restaurant I have visited; the meat is not of good quality, the seasoning is poor, and the overall flavor is bad. Furthermore, they serve the meat heavily overcooked--it tastes as if it were leftovers from the previous day that had simply been reheated on the grill. The service was good, though perhaps only because there were just three tables occupied by diners. The price is inexpensive--$35 for an all-you-can-eat meal--but you get what you pay for. Get ready to get your hands dirty in a Louisiana seafood boil. They have 7 daily specials based on the day of the week but Red Crab said we can choose from any of their daily specials. We shared hush puppies and I went with the Thursday Daily Special -- 1/2 snow crab, 1/2 shrimp (head on), 1/2 crawfish, 2 eggs, potatoes, and corn. This was thrown in the Juicy Special sauce - a mixture of Cajun, lemon pepper, and garlic butter spiced up to medium. Our waitress gave us good tips in conquering this boil as we are amateurs and would stick out as tourists for sure if we were in Louisiana. I picture this cuisine being a party in the backyard of Louisiana along with a keg. This is the 2nd boil in my lifetime and my friend from Cali's first-time. The shrimp and snow crabs were super meaty and great to dip in the sauce. Next time I will add mussels into the boil to scoop up the sauce. I wish Red Crab well in this cursed location. I will certainly be back. This was initially a Ruby Tuesday converted into a seafood boil place, Japanese buffet, and now back to a different seafood boil joint. It's a beautifully decorated location with an oceanic pirate theme but it did not have the biggest crowd on a Thursday at 6pm. Absolutely wonderful service and delicious food. Angel was our server. He was attentive and friendly. He was always around when we needed him but not hovering over us when we were just hanging out and talking. The food was yummy and came out quicker than I would have expected. The seafood boil was delicious, and the opening of the bag (video attached) was lots of fun. We asked for it to be a little spicy and it was prepared perfectly. The prices are reasonable. They have a big bar with a huge TV, lots of TV's around, and it is a very good place to watch football. Also, for you cigar aficionados, they have a very nice selection in their walk-in humidor. my wife's family and I came here after a long day. I saw I bunch of mixed reviews, lots of negatives. Came in Sunday night, got seated and food within 10-15 minutes with a party of 19, yes 19 people. (I don't eat buffet food. I'm still in the service industry and it's a just personal thing.) I gave their meats a chance and was not disappointed, the girls loved the seafood boil as well. Eventhough I only lived in Brasil 3 years or so, the food at Toreros was like dining out in any Brasilian city restaurant on a sunday afternoon. The Rodizio is a can't miss opportunity (You eat to your hearts delight) You can have Picanha , Rib Steak, Chicken, Lamb, Shrimp, Octopus and more till you're satisfied. There is also a fully furnished salad bar for the non meat lovers. The food is delicious and just keeps coming till you take a Pause or Stop.. They give you a 3 color lamp at the table You Press on Green meaning that they can bring food as it comes available, Blue is when you want to take a break,, and You press the color Red which means no more food and Bring me the Bill. To be fair (because that's what I am, a paragon of fairness), the manager claimed that most of the staff called out sick that day. But something about that excuse doesn't pass the smell test, and I'm not just talking about the fishy aroma. Judging by the other reviews, this chaos seems to be business as usual. Daniela was our server, and when I tell you she was amazing!! The sweetest & fastest service we've had in awhile. We felt so welcome, and the restaurant was very quiet. It felt like we owned the place. I'm sure it's because it just opened and we came on a weekday but the food was fantastic as well. Medium is hot and hot is VERY HOT. One of the worst dining experiences I've had. The shrimp tasted spoiled, fell apart while peeling, and many were black and overcooked. The corn was tough and barely edible. The server wasn't friendly, forgot to add eggs to the boil, and tried to charge extra for eggs taken from the salad bar. When we said we didn't like the food, he didn't offer any solution and still charged full price until I asked for a discount. I also ordered rice and was told to get the salad bar for it instead. He only brought rice for my sister and never brought any for me. They also turned off the music and the vibes were just off. There were no other customers there, and now I see why. The seafood boil, in particular, was a complete letdown. When we received the bill, we noticed a service charge and an unexplained additional charge. We asked about it, and our excellent server said he would get the manager. When Paola came over, we calmly explained our experience. At no point did she apologize; instead, she became defensive. We didn't eat our meals but were still charged full price. Paola removed the service charge, which meant the staff didn't get a tip--not because we didn't want to tip, but because management chose to take it out on the staff instead of offering any kind of goodwill discount. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience, made worse by how poorly management handled. Paola must must go back to Training. And above all, why would you screw your staff. Ps. If you want the real RedCrab go to the Delray location. Which I was just there two weeks ago. Food was amazing and about $20 less per meal. I came to this restaurant for my 28th Birthday Dinner and what initially brought me here was their "4.9 Star" Rating on Google the restaurant was completely empty upon arrival and quite frankly the seafood was absolutely bland and everything tasted watered down and frozen! We ordered the chefs special lobster crab crawfish shrimp "seafood fried rice" chicken wings and we were just not satisfied with the flavoring of the food at all we had to ask for seasoning on the side. Worth it! This was my first time having a seafood boil and i do not regret a single thing coming here! i've been wanting to try seafood boils for a LONG time and would see this place often since i go to the aldis nearby, checked the reviews and they seemed pretty trustworthy so i decided to go with my mom on easter. Leyanis was our server and she was amazing, very sweet and my mom loved her. The place was very nice and clean, loved the lights and decoration. The food came hot and steamy and everything tasted amazing and fresh, the crab meat was easy to pull apart and was delicoooous. The waiters are polite, but it's clear they are unprepared. Our drinks took over 10 minutes to arrive, even though there were only five tables occupied in the restaurant. I went in for lunch after seeing a sign advertising an all-you-can-eat Brazilian steak lunch for $19.99. However, when I arrived, I was immediately stopped at the door and quickly informed of the dining options. I was told the all-you-can-eat option was now $26 unless I chose the meat-only option. I questioned this, but the hostess assured me the sign outside stated this. I had limited time since I needed to return to work, so I opted for the meat-only option. I was then told it would be 15 minutes before any meat would be served--which I accepted. Once service began, staff started bringing out buffet-style meats. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. Aside from the chicken and sausage, the meats had a very gamey taste, and some even tasted spoiled. It was unpleasant, and I didn't eat the questionable pieces. The picanha, was well-cooked on the outside but raw and dark red on the inside. I didn't even try it at that point--I didn't trust it. Several staff members asked how I liked the food. I gave honest but quiet feedback, though it didn't seem to make a difference. I left more food uneaten on my plate than I consumed, for obvious reasons. When it came time to pay, I noticed an 18% gratuity had been added to the bill. When I signed the credit card receipt, the cashier clarified that the tip was for the staff who brought the meat--not for the waitress. The cashier happened to be my waitress and the hostess. While the staff were polite and attentive, the pricing was misleading and the quality of the food was awful. I made a reservation for 2/2 at 2pm for 5 people. Got there at 1:45 and the doors were locked. No one was inside. At least no one heard us knocking. I was tremendously disappointed. Had to find somewhere else to go for my birthday. Not a happy camper. read more
