Then the hostess came up and was very friendly but a bit countercultural by rural southern standards. She knew her stuff though and was an absolute awesome waitress. Not sure I saw anyone else working out front. She seated you took your order and brought you your food she seemed to know the locals. Then the roll's appeared! Wow awesome surprise. And they tasted good so huge win. So I deducted a star for cleanliness but this place food wise and service wise is five star. After eating here, I experienced severe food poisoning symptoms, including diarrhea and extreme fatigue, and I lost an entire day being sick. The restaurant has become noticeably dirty, from the overall environment to the food itself. I even found a hair in my meal. This place needs a thorough renovation and better management. This place is located on the 1280 W 5th Street and Northwest Blvd. There is parking in the front, and the restaurant is small and cozy. The seating is for parties of 4 to 5 but arrangements can be made so talk to a server. The menu offered everything from drinks, small place to ramen and I wanted to try more. We got the salt and pepper shrimp, the Kyushu Karaage (Japanese fried chicken), Hot tea and Takoyaki for a group of 5. Everything was piping hot and delicious and lightly seasoned to bring out the flavors of the overall dish. The servers were sweet and extremely helpful for explaining what things were and me, being a ramen nerd, could sit back and relax. I got the Kyushu Black Garlic Tonkotsu. It was so GOOD!! Looks to be doing half dine-in and half carry-out business. Not the best hibachi ever, but way better than I thought it would be here. I did pass on the sushi- Circleville stripmall sushi was not appealing. But with hibachi in the name I figured that was their specialty, and it was pretty darn good. I got steak and chicken, and there was plenty of each, tender and flavorful, cooked to order (I got the steak medium; a carryout customer got hers "well well well well done.") Comes with a salad that was surprisingly good, though I think that's the first time I've had Bac-os in decades. Also miso soup, and a "side" of veggies on top of the entree. Lots of pretty good fried rice, good portions of meat and veggies. The chicken was cooked in sauce, and a bowl of yum yum came out for the steak. It means there are burritos and pizza galore. And fast Asian. Mr. Hibachi is in that tradition and they are efficient in part by having a veritable army of folks working quickly to keep up with a brisk takeaway business. There are dining-in options but that isn't their primary focus. If you do want to eat in, there are 3 tables in the busy front section that can accommodate 4 or five folks. Then there is a string of high tops for 2 that run down the length of the skinny store. So we mostly do take-out drawing on both the straight forward sushi options or hibachi options. Lots of both with no big surprises. But portions are generous and prices reasonable. Favs in my family are the shrimp hibachi that you can substitute lo mien noodles for white or fried rice for a small mark up. I'm partial to the sashimi combo that won't be confused for high end fish but the slices are thick and the dish is filling and a good deal since it is under $20 and comes with miso and a generous fried rice portion. If you get a big order ie 2 bags instead of one for takeaway, be sure to check your order and make sure you have both bags. They have a lot of orders to fill so a couple of times I wasn't paying attention and left without one of the bags. In one case I did get a call quickly from the store asking me to come back and pick it up. A couple times there was a missing side (yum yum sauce for the hibachi) or side of fried rice. So as always, can't hurt to check to make sure everything is there. One final feature to point out. I really like the ability to order online for and choose a later time for pickup. This approach works well for bringing home dinner right after class or a workout. Given how busy they can get when the students are in town, this feature is often wise to use.

I will say their Filet Minion is the best I've had and I've had a lot in my life. Sushi choices are good and tasty (pricier). If you don't mind dropping a couple hundred on a dinner for 4, then this is a great choice. If you avoid alcohol and don't get the feasts or sushi you can get away with around $80 for two people just for the grill. Love it!
