Was in your restaurant last night with a group of friends and ordered the filet and shrimp. Started eating the filet and every bite was grizzly and tough. That wasn't a filet. Very disappointed. Probably will never go back to the Japanese steakhouse again sorry.. if I mean, charge $30 for a fillet and shrimp I should get a fillet, not a grizzly steak that I can't chew. Tried to get a refund, and the owner said no. Please don't go to this restaurant, not sure what they are serving filet but isn't a fillet very tough and chewy got ripped off, never be back again. read more

I was disappointed with my recent visit. I was charged dinner prices during lunch hours, yet received what was clearly a lunch-sized portion. If dinner pricing is being applied, the portions and experience should match that price point. There was no clear explanation or notice about the pricing difference, which felt misleading. Transparency matters, especially when prices are higher. I've enjoyed Japanese steakhouses in the past, but this experience didn't feel like a good value for what I paid. Just to start off, I will say that the only thing I enjoyed was the sake. The service was trash. It's a Tuesday and it was loud in the hibachi areas but I'm solo and sat at the bar that was 35% occupied. I had to flag down my waiter just to order. The first thing I received was a soup that was edible and then a salad that was over saturated in dressing and old brown lettuce I knew if I ate it I would be sick. Next thing I received was the sashimi platter. The fish looked bad color wise. I was very skeptical and a sipped sake with each bite to kill any potential parasites. The last thing was the Yakisoba. It had a lot of chicken in it but was poorly seasoned. Did not taste like yakisoba in the simplest form. Disappointed that I spent this much money on this place with higher expectations. Pray that I don't have food poisoning. I would advise to find something else. Fast food might even be better. read more

I went at lunchtime and purchased the Hibachi. It comes with your choice of Two meats. It also comes with soup, salad, vegetables and choice of noodles or rice. The food was good but I felt it needed more seasoning, especially the soup and chicken. The experience can be fun, especially if it's your first time at this type of restaurant. The Chef is entertaining and very engaging. The restaurant is very pretty and they have a full service bar. The wait staff was very nice and helpful. It was not that busy which I appreciated. I love going to Fusion Steakhouse! It is a great place for family or work birthday gatherings. For those events, we always sit at one of the hibachi stations. The servers and cooks are very friendly. I also go alone at times and sit at the bar to enjoy my meal. I have gotten to know many of the employees by doing that. They are all friendly and seem to enjoy working together. Just one option available in vegetarian during lunch hours which was vegetable tempura. There was no vegetarian option available in hibachi. The lunch came with soup and salad. The soup tasted horrible and the salad had excess peanut sauce dressing. The tempura had no salt it tasted bland was too oily. Overall a bad experience. Won't be going again. read more

If I could give 0 STARS I would. We met our friends for dinner and arrived late so we grabbed seats up at the bar as the hibachi chef already took their orders and started cooking. There were two individuals serving patrons at the bar and it was as if we were invisible. We sat at the bar for fifteen or twenty minutes before I got the non-Asian's attention. The non-Asian rolled her eyes at me when I said excuse me, could we get menus. This server acted as if I called her a dirty name. By this time our friends finished their meal and were joining us at the bar. We had expressed we were going to go somewhere else to eat. Our one friend and her husband had eaten their three times this particular week and went to talk to the manager. The manager came over to us and sarcastically stated that she would serve us. At this point my boyfriend said no and enough was enough and got up and told me let's go. I told the manager how rude the server was and she said yes, she's like that. WOW!!! This was a great experience. The food was really good and the chef did a great job. He was very personable and provided us with good service. I went to celebrate a birthday. If it's your birthday they give you a half off meal and an individual ice cream cake and a happy birthday song. Really great experience! I would go back to this place and recommend it to others. Our chef was very friendly and funny. The restaurant is very clean and well kept, honestly the nicest hibachi place I've been in Ohio. Prices were alright. I always grimace inside at the cost of a meal at any hibachi place because it's just so expensive. Portions are large and the food was very good. I didn't particularly like their vegetable mix. I'm use to getting bean sprouts, onions and zucchini. The broccoli, carrots and mushrooms were a new experience for me. However the miso soup, salad, fried rice and protein where all spot on! There was one mistake where my father ordered chicken and steak and only got steak. The issues went unresolved but it isn't that big of a deal considering everyone was full and nobody really felt like trying to hash it out. read more

This is our go-to place when we want good hibachi and service. I love the environment and the vibe of the restaurant. And our chef was okay- he forgot my son's steak portion- whether he gave it to someone else at the table or it wasn't on his plate of proteins I'm not sure. UPDATE: Manager called us back and said she would replace the meal. I've changed it from 1 star to 3. I'll give this place another try. Hopefully it's better next time. We ate here last night. This was the second time we've been. The first time was great. We always get the filet and chicken combo. Last night struck me pretty weird. The chef, who was a nice guy (and the same chef as before) overcooked our steak. We asked for medium. No big deal, it happens. But when we mentioned it to him, he seemed to not be able to take criticism at all. It was WELL done. For those of you who eat filet, you know it should nearly melt in your mouth. This was extremely tough. We didn't make a big deal out of it and paid our bill. The next day we called to just tell them about it. We weren't expecting anything free but to just acknowledge that it wasn't good. The manager said she would talk to the chef and call us back. She said "we were really busy so that happens from time to time" lol.. ok? No sorry, no discount.. as I said I didn't even want one. But it would have been nice for them to OFFER. You guys know this food isn't super cheap. So their outlook on it is if they mess up, deal with it.. which is fine. I'll go somewhere else. Simple as that. Not very crowded an. Thursday evening around 8pm. Sat at the bar, and was greeted immediately. No beer on tap, but full bar and fair selection of wines. Ordered the sushi deluxe dinner, which had 10 assorted sushi plus a tuna roll. Came with salad and soup, but no choice. Salad was heavy on the dressing, but good. Soup was super hot, so I let it cool while I ate the salad. Soup, broth really, was fine, nothing special. Sushi took about another 15 minutes to come out, so on a busy night I can see this taking some real time. Sushi looked very fresh and well presented. Rice was not quite sticky enough; it came apart almost immediately after dipping in soy sauce. Took careful and expert chopstick use to avoid a messy shirt. Admittedly most Japanese steakhouse restaurants are not always great. I went into Fusion mostly because my son wanted to go. I was happily surprised by the experience. The service was great. Our server was BRAND NEW and I could tel she was nervous but she did a great job. Two drink orders: Mai Tai and a dirty martini, both awesome. No, really... awesome! Started off with some sushi rolls, they were really good, though took a while to come out but the salad/soup that came with the hibachi held us over (we were HUNGRY!) The chef was entertaining and engaging and the meal was great. My only observation is that while the decor appears to be really nice, upon paying closer attention you will see a lot of torn chairs etc. Not a huge deal but a little update would go a long way. I do NOT recommend this Japanese Steakhouse. There is absolutely nothing redeeming about this establishment. The food is truly something I could of lived never having in my gut, even though it only stayed in there for maybe 20 minutes. The cook was inexperienced. I literally paid to vomit, $76.70 worth of puke. I will NEVER be coming back here. Every piece of food was overcooked, or undercooked. The cook didn't even cook the rice correctly! I'm disgusted, and I definitely have food poisoning. My recommendation is going to find another Japanese Steakhouse to eat out, because I didn't enjoy any of this experience. I'm a therapist and came here with a teenage client for lunch. I say that because it really added to the experience. The client and l loved the atmosphere and felt like we were having a really classy lunch-- but at the right price. I ordered the steak hibachi meal and they got sushi. Both came with soup and salad. We personally thought the soup was underwhelming and the salad was over-dressed, but both had a good flavor overall. And the yum yum sauce with my hibachi sauce was devine!
