    Sweet and Sour Chicken

I got the sweet and sour chicken which was super tiny dry chewy chicken deep fried and canned pineapple. Gross. The philly roll was good though. I'm a little upset I spend it $17 on this small meal.

The first thing I noticed about Ginza Go is that they offer much more than hibachi and at a much better price than their similarly named competition. I had okay shumai and pretty good beef hibachi. A large reason for the four star is how it compares to other hibachi style options. Normally I'm not that big a fan of Japanese steak houses because, unless you're interested in paying for the show, they're way overpriced for simple stir fry you could do at home. That other similarly named chain took a few products from their full service restaurant while keeping high prices. Ginza Go's prices are in line with what the product should cost.

Hibachi Shrimp, Fried Rice and extra Veggies.

I visited this restaurant on a Thursday afternoon. We called our order in over the phone. I ordered the Hibachi Shrimp, White Rice and Extra Vegetables. My coworker order the Hibachi Chicken. We were told our order would be ready in 15 minutes. We arrived about 20 later. Our order was not ready, and the cashier then told me that there would be another 30 minute wait for white rice, and offered me fried rice instead. Which didn't make sense, because you use white rice to make fried rice (right?). I agreed to the fried rice only because I was in the middle of a work day. We then waited another 25 minutes for our order to be finished. The cashier apologized, and stated that they were behind because they were closed the previous day for Halloween. Nevertheless, the Hibachi Shrimp was delicious, the veggies were a tad salty but still good. I didn't eat much of the fried rice. I will say that Ginza Go is NOT stingy with the amount of food you receive. My box of food was very heavy! I typically enjoy Hibachi Express off of Main Street, but if I'm not up for the drive all the way to the east side I'll will back to Ginza Go again soon!

For my birthday, I was happy to try this place out since this location was close to home. Columbus is slowly becoming the place for all things foodie and geeky and I love that for us! This place is located on the 1280 W 5th Street and Northwest Blvd. There is parking in the front, and the restaurant is small and cozy. The seating is for parties of 4 to 5 but arrangements can be made so talk to a server. The menu offered everything from drinks, small place to ramen and I wanted to try more. We got the salt and pepper shrimp, the Kyushu Karaage (Japanese fried chicken), Hot tea and Takoyaki for a group of 5. Everything was piping hot and delicious and lightly seasoned to bring out the flavors of the overall dish. The servers were sweet and extremely helpful for explaining what things were and me, being a ramen nerd, could sit back and relax. I got the Kyushu Black Garlic Tonkotsu. It was so GOOD!! I love the taste of black garlic and the umami in the dish was so pleasant. The noodles were chewy, and the pork slices were so tender. The Tendernism! IYKYK. 5 stars for a great birthday meal that did not break the bank. Well, my friend covered my bill. :)

I loved my bubbly waitress. She was great and really knew her stuff. She made some great recommendations on rolls to order. I had the "sunshine roll", "the Manhattan", and the "Surf and turf" all were good but the sunshine roll was the best in my opinion. All the flavors messed well. I thought the surf and turf would've been my number one but for some reason the flavors just was there. Really good idea for a roll. It sounded better than in tasted. All in all this was a really cool spot. Very clean and modern look with a almost upscale feel. No first date. Maybe 2nd or 3rd lol. Worthy of a nice date night. I like the vibes. They have all the fresh ingredients on ice display. You can view the Itamae creating your rolls. Shout outs to my fellow yelpers for directing me here! #FoodieRunner approved

The food wait time was longer than I thought it would be. The sushi chefs sat down a lot on the floor behind the bar. The miso truffle udon is also a hard pass, both of us were instantly unsatisfied from the first bite. The Rangoon tarts were flavorful but 2 were cold and one was hot. The dragon roll I had though I was a big fan of. The crispy California roll was not it for us either. Overall it is just a mid sushi place, I can't say either of us will be back.

There's a big community table inside for multiple small parties or a couple bigger ones, some 2 seaters, and a couple other seating options. It's a small, cozy, inviting, restaurant but they also have the option to rent their space out for small parties! We got some drinks to try and they were so very good! They were made well, balanced, and creative. The flavors they offered were very good and unique. We got their Pork Xiao Long Bao, small Chicken Karaage, and Pepper Tuna to start. The XLB was good but not memorable, flavorful and small bites. The Pepper Tuna was also pretty good but I would probably only get again if I was craving. Their Karaage was phenomenal, very flavorful, crispy, and made well. We really enjoyed this appetizer. We got the Tan Tan Men and Seafood Ramen. The Tan Tan Men was delicious, made well, umami, flavorful, and fulfilling. I think the broth was delicious and everything paired well together. I would recommend this dish. The Seafood Ramen was good but, I didn't feel the seafood was too memorable and the flavor was very light. I wish their ramen had a bit more topping variety but overall, made well and delicious. Staff was nice! They were a bit busy and didn't check in as often but they were nice and walked around. They answered a couple questions we had in the beginning and we're accomodating. I recommend Kirin for small groups, a casual date, delicious food, and very good vibe. I think they have a fun and delicious spin on classic and traditional dishes. I will be coming back!
