    Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen Edamame
    Renee S.

The ramen...shut the front door! So good! The medium spicy had a good heat to it but not overbearing. The pork is cut thinner than I'm used to and like but had good flavor. The broth is a good compliment to all the ingredients. I'm not a big seaweed fan in ramen so I would say to remove that or to slice up the nori sheet next time so I don't have to eat the whole thing at once next time. The edamame is good, except I would ask for light salt next time because it came covered in salt and it was just too much salt for me. I shook some off. There are 6 4-top tables, a 2-top, and 10 seats at the bar in front of the kitchen. I ordered and within 5-7 minutes, if that, I had my food! I WILL be back!!

Nice experience. The environment and service are really great. We had the classic ramen with chicken, and chicken udon. The udon came with a perfect green salad. The ramen was stuffed aplenty, that was cool, but the broth lacked a brothy punch. The Udon was great. 5$ Kirin beer hit the spot. It's a drive for us to get here, but we will return for sure.

We had high hopes for Kyushu based on all the rave reviews. The inside is small. Theres an L shaped bar top where you can watch the chefs prepare food, and about 5 tables across from this area. I'm sure it fills up quickly, however on the day we went for dinner we were easily able to snag a table. The menu is easy to understand, with lots of helpful pictures. We tried the gyoza dumplings, edamame, karaage rice bowl with miso soup, and classic chicken ramen. The dumplings were good, but the edamame were drowning in salt. I enjoyed the rice, veggies and spicy mayo components of the karaage rice bowl, but the fried chicken wasn't good at all. Dark meat (sigh) and way too chewy. It felt like every bit I had to work my way around some tendon. After a few bites of the chicken, I pushed it all aside. I was disappointed as this was supposed to be the star of the dish. The ramen wasn't that great and we left half of it untouched. The broth was bland and lacked a savory flavor. Overall, the food definitely could've been better -- we won't be back.

The interior reminds me of the street ramen they have in Japan. There is a bar you sit at or there is a few tables. It's a smaller place. The service was quick and if you sit at the bar you can watch them make all the food! This was a fun experience.

Amazing food and ramen has always been my favorite and the service was really on top of everything. The atmosphere of this place was so cool as well. I definitely recommend

honestly it was alright but the serving size was pretty small for the ramen. I got the shoyu with pork, and i felt like there was really not enough noodles or toppings. Service is fast and workers were nice though, i guess this is just a chain problem.

Best ramen I've ever had and this means the WORLD coming from a weaboo. Also they were playing some pitched down Bollywood remix of a Fleetwood Mac song, really made me think. Service incredibly fast, however the green tea mochi was actually just two each cut in half. Devastating. Other than that, the experience was nothing short of orgasmic.

On the most recent visit; the immediate family and I dined in on a Friday night and I tried the fried chicken with the spicy miso ramen as well as the sweet potatoes fries. The chicken had a crunchy panko like coating with the tiniest reminisce of sweetness in the bite which was super unique and pleasant to me. The sweet potatoes fries had some mayo like drizzle with a crispy onion like sprinkle on top accented with green onions. It was pretty good as an appetizer. The service was good and the servers check in regularly and everything was accommodating on a weekend evening for this small ramen bar. I honestly have tried 3 other ramen spots and this has to be my favorite so far.

Came here for lunch with 4 others. It was great to eat on a cold. The bowl was plenty of flavors and veggies. I loved the noodles and egg.

I recently went to Kyushu with friends and could not be more happy with our experience. We love ramen and have tried a lot of places and this spot definitely hit the mark. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming and the staff was so kind. I loved their recommendations as it was super helpful to decide which ramen we'd like best. The ramen itself was SO FLAVORFUL and they don't skimp on ingredients! As you can see from the photo, they loaded up the bowl which I loved. If you like a little kick, try the spicy tonkotsu ramen. The flavor was perfect.

Both buns were fantastic. The chicken one was a stand out to me because of how moist it was. We each ordered a different ramen. Mine was spicy miso with extra noodles and hubs had the black garlic w extra egg. It's the most popular one (I think the second one on menu) Both of these were really good Lucky Buddha beer is very light and refreshing The restaurant is small, but nice and cozy inside. Service was also very good. Friendly people. Would come back

This is a really good ramen place! Very authentic all around. I can't wait to come back. The food was flavorful and rich. Our server was super kind, accommodating, and informative about any questions we had in regards of the menu. There is enough sitting, but if ever busy, I can see there being a wait. But that just tells you how good this place is.

As a Californian, I never thought I'd find my favorite ramen spot in Ohio, but Kyushu Ramen Bar truly humbled me. PARKING: Average-sized small-ish parking lot, but definitely ample space to accommodate the businesses in the plaza. WHAT WE ORDERED: * Mazesoba ramen with chicken chashu and miso soup (you get to choose between minced pork and chicken chashu, and between miso soup and green salad as a side) * Karaage ramen * Spicy tonkotsu ramen * Kyushu classic tonkotsu ramen FOOD: First of all, portion sizes were great! At least compared to a lot of places I've had back home. The mazesoba ramen was drizzled with a sweet and savory sauce which made the noodles super addicting. The chashu, even though it was chicken, was nice and juicy. Miso soup on the side was a nice touch for some moisture in between bites of noodle. The tonkotsu ramens were topped with an ample amount of toppings, and both broths were delicious. For my taste, the spicy tonkotsu wasn't that spicy, but depends on your spice tolerance. But the star of the show: the karaage ramen! I've never seen this at other ramen places, but the karaage was light and crispy, and very juicy and fatty inside - so delicious by itself, but complemented by the carbs and warm broth. This is a must order for me. SERVICE: Servers were very willing to help explain menu items, and very attentive. Food came out SUPER fast! VIBES: It wasn't too busy when we went despite going during a festival weekend, and there were ample tables big enough to fit catch-ups with friends or a casual night out for dinner with family. BOTTOM LINE: Go here.

So I was a little taken back you got a little bit of everything in this location is really small. And the parking is terrible but what can you expect for downtown? I had to take my ticket inside and if you purchased something from one of the vendors, they have to give you a QR code for the parking garage and it's two dollars for parking. We had Indian food and the food was delicious. The young lady behind the counter was so nice. She let us taste the chicken before purchasing our meals. The food in the North market is expensive. It was almost $40 for two people to eat. Then we had Jennie's ice cream afterwards and it was $15 for two scoops of ice cream. Customer service was great as all the vendors were awesome and explained everything to us. Is this something that I would do again know just because of the parking and most of the restaurants inside of Markette is not something that I would normally eat very clean. There is a second floor for you to sit. I don't know if they had an elevator. I didn't see one, but I know there are stairs to the second floor. Very busy long lines and you feel like you have to rush to order something because all lines were so long.

Fukuryu is the first ramen place I've tried that lets you customize so many of my favorite extras--mushrooms, fish cakes, and egg. You can also choose your spice level; I went with half chili , and it was perfect for me. Spicy enough to leave a pleasant lingering heat without being overwhelming. I'm glad I read previous reviews because they definitely deliver on the heat they promise. The only downside was that the pork wasn't as tender as the chashu I'm used to in ramen. That said, the rest of the ingredients and the noodles were well-prepared, with great flavor and texture. I would definitely order Fukuryu ramen again.
