Because of my impatient husband, he did not want to wait for our first choice buffet, King Buffet because they were very busy and we could see some people waiting outside to get inside. We have eaten at Hiro's and King Buffet before and we really liked King's because they are newer, cleaner and had many more selections of food. The first thing we noticed about Hibachi Grill is that the most of their customers are Hispanic population and I think I was probably the only Asian customers there. Their selection of food is very small and quality of food was not very good. I was very excited to see some fresh cooked orange chicken but it was mostly breading and very little chicken. Their sushi fish had dull color like it had been frozen, thawed out then frozen again then thawed out. I am not asking the very best quality fish from a cheap buffet, but the sushi fish from this place was not very appetizing looking. We have few other buffets available in Aurora, this place can't compete with other places and they seem like they don't even try to. Since this place got new ownership (presumably) it has gotten a lot better. The service is quick and they remodeled the entire inside and booths. It feels and looks a lot cleaner with a more modern feel. Previously it was very old and outdated. Good selection of food. I'd come back. read more

Not very many places to get buffet and this is the best in the area. Quick service by the staff to keep the table clean and the buffet table organized. They have crab legs, fried dumplings, shrimps, sushi and some noodles. A lot of variety to choose from. $22 for dinner. Once you get past the most unenthusiastic hostess,the waitresses are quick to keep your table clean. This ambiance here sparkles since their remodel. Lots of very cool lighting and wall decor. The place is well lit with individual light above each booth so you can see what you are eating. I came here years ago and it was drab and tired. They have oysters on the half shell, cold shrimp to peel, fried shrimp, breaded fried shrimp, baby clams in a sauce, fried octopus rings ( they were tender and not rubbery). It was Friday night. On Google Maps it shows that they close at 10:30 p.m. We arrived at 9:15 p.m. and paid $50 for two people. However, the hibachi area and the grill were already closed, and about half of the food had already been put away. The place was almost empty. I asked why we couldn't use the full service if there was still more than an hour left before the closing time listed on Maps. They responded that they close at 10:00 p.m. and that it is posted at the entrance, even though that does not match the hours published online. Even so, there were still 45 minutes left before closing. If they start shutting down an hour before the posted closing time, why continue accepting customers? We had to pay full price for incomplete service. There were barely any food options left available. The only solution they offered was a $10 gift card, which I will not use because I do not plan to return to a place with such poor service that feels like they are taking advantage of customers. Stopped in for sushi on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy. Ordered me and my friend 2 of the "all you can eat" buffets, an iced tea, Pepsi (for me) & hot green tea (also for me) before heading to our table. Once we got our drinks I realized I was only charged for a Pepsi & hot tea so my friend had to go back up and order her drink. Two Words: FOOD POISONING!! There were 12 of us, 5 of us got food poisoning. We all live in different households so this wasn't something we ate at home or anywhere else. I made a plate of sushi but I couldn't eat it because the very first piece I put in my mouth tasted terrible. It definitely wasn't fresh. My husband was so sick that he went to Urgent Care and they diagnosed him as having FOOD POISONING. The service was good but the food obviously wasn't. We went here yesterday because my wife suggested trying it out. Our experience was a "one and done". We do NOT plan on going back. The staff was pleasant, but that's about the best thing I can say. We aren't very fussy, but most of the food was really poor quality. The sushi was OK; the sugared donut-style puffs were actually pretty good. The shrimp, both salt-and-pepper and cold were mushy. The beef-and-broccoli was awful. Some of the fresh fruit, especially the pineapple was quite good. When we got home, I looked up the Health Department inspection record for this place. Not acceptable in my opinion. Lots of re-inspections due to rampant deficiencies, many of the deficiencies having to do with sanitation and food storage/temperature problems.
