We used to stop here several times before Covid, and stopped in for the first time this week in at least a couple of years. Everything has gone downhill. We try to go to buffets at rush time to insure good turnover, hot food etc. we arrived at 12:15 for lunch, we were seated and noticed how worn and tattered the seats were. Second disappointment was the amount of tepid food ...sweet sour pork, egg rolls, hot/sour soup.... All items that are usually popular but were stale and cold, and in the case of the soup, barely warm. A trip to the restroom confirmed that whatever pride and professionalism there used to be here is definitely gone. Summary.... Give this place a pass. The Hibachi Grill is undergoing a much needed interior renovation. The buffet has lots of choices--decent and filling but not gourmet. The actual hibachi grill ingredients have been reduced over the last couple of years but the chefs are willing to adjust spice levels. Service is typical Chinese buffet -- getting drinks and removing plates -- everything else is self-service which I prefer. This is a good value for today's typical restaurant prices. read more

I was surprised that you had to pay before you got seated. I went with a large group of people and basically got our own room. The food was okay. Not a lot of variety of sushi like I'm used to. The cream cheese wonton were good as well as the veggies but I was really looking forward to the hibachi. But it was too oily. I guess it's hard to find a really good buffet place. This place has somehow become the spot my parents and I go to after they pick me up from the airport. There's a large variety of foods, from hibachi to sushi to Chinese to American. The hibachi is a little lacking, with only two very basic sauces to choose from. It always turns out either way too salty or way too bland, so we've gotten into the habit of getting one of each and then mixing them ourselves. The sushi is decent, but the selection is minimal and doesn't get replenished quick enough. The food is pretty good. You should be able to find at least a couple things you like. A lot of people go for the crawfish and crab legs, but I find them to be of low quality. They used to have tubs of ice cream in the back, which was unfortunately replaced with little cups of artificial crap, so now I got for the fruit instead. Overall, this place is a decent quality buffet with a wide selection of foods. Definitely not the best I've had, but a solid choice in Greenville. read more

I went in there not expeching much due to the reviews but to be honest the food itself was better than the hibachi in raleigh. Were there foods that were american? Yes. Were there a wide variety of foods that were more authentically asian? Yes. Were there some items that ive never seen before. Yep. I thought the place was well kept and they had food filled at all times. I recommend this place and im sure that it isnt a 2 and a half stars worth. This is at least a 4 star resturant. Want to pay over $10 for disgusting food? Only saw obese people in here, and I now see why. The steak was horrible in the hibachi. Ingredients were lackluster, and there was way too lean a beef that was overcooked and flavorless (probably not even sirloin). I saw the raw chicken- it looked so old I would barely call it edible. Every single fried item had such a weird taste to it. I was unable to eat anything, even their chicken wings. Everything tasted like it was cooked in a strange or rancid cooking oil, even the desert puffed pastry. All I could eat was their mediocre sugar donuts- they didn't even produce more after I had 3 of the remaining 4. Waitress walked back and forth eying us as if we stole something. She tried to clear the plate directly under my face when I still had a donut left. I picked it up and took a bite to show I was eating it and the waitress scooped up the plate before I could set it down. Wtf. They could see I wasn't eating their questionable food and didn't bother to even ask why. I would have loved to tell them. Sad to say this is the worst restaurant in Greenville I've eaten at, by far. Lets first start out by saying as mentioned in other reviews. You have to pay before you are seated. Decor is some what colorful but it needs to but updated and rejuvenated aswell as the parking lot. Waiters are somewhat friendly but if the place is busy you may have a slight wait which is nothing to really complain about. Food quality is not here that's for sure. They are going by quantity instead if quality. They have eight different buffet stalls each with a variety of foods...salad bar...fruit bar/sweets such as cheap cheese cakes. There are plenty of fried foods here all are covered in grease and oils. Same for the stir fry dishes aswell. They have separate grill bar basically a stir fry style grill with and cold meats and veggies to place on your plate for them to cook on the spot. The food here is alot less greasey and in my opinoin the rest of thier food should be cooked like this. Wait sometimes is long depends how long the line is. Cooking times vary but typically 7 - 8 mins a plate. Overall they have too much food in this building. I can't imagine how much food they waste or reuse. If you like eating cheap then maybe you can look pass the issues but if not i wouldn't recommend. read more

The only positive I can think of is that the price is cheap. Also, the food is cheap. The décor is cheap. the service is cheap. The preparation is cheap. The deserts are cheap. I have seen people park in front of the crab legs, which are low quality, and fill a heaping plate, leaving nothing for the next guy in line. Then the restaurant is very slow in replenishing the supply. So if you go for the crab legs, good luck. They make different ethnic food, Mexican, Italian, American. All are low quality imitations of good cuisines. You know there is something wrong when you choose a beef dish so you can eat the fat and leave the meat. If you were to buy Chinese food separately, this would not be the place you would go for it. And hated those little fake ice cream cups. The last two buffet places I have been had 1. name brand personal ice cream items (cones, sandwiches, etc.) and 2. a soft-serve machine with vanilla and chocolate with lots of toppings available.
