The crab Rangoon almost needs a review of its own because with the sweet chili sauce it's my favorite menu item! Fresh blue crab (not the imitation stuff) and the serving is enough for two people! The place is lovely, nice ambiance. The waitress and host were very nice. I asked basic questions like, "What's in the cucumber salad?" The waitress said she didn't know. She had never served it. Then she asked if I wanted to order it. I told her I don't know what's in it. She continued with cucumbers and she thought a vinaigrette. I asked her who there would know? She went to ask. Then I asked "does the Pho come with basil, jalapeños, and sprouts?" She said she was new and didn't know. So she went to ask. I told her well you need to study the menu because you're offering this food to people. Once that was all mangled up, I have to say that the fried spring rolls were tasty. The house salad was fresh and crispy with the best ginger dressing. (I bought a pint to take home!) I passed on the Pho because they told me it didn't come with basil or jalepenos and I couldn't imagine Pho being served without them., only sprouts. I went for the Singapore Rice Noodles. The picture was beautiful, the presentation was a blob on a plate. The taste was unseasoned rice noodles. No taste whatsoever. No garlic. No curry taste. I could taste the egg. I asked for the seasoning to add to it and was able to get down half of it. I rank it a 3 because the place looks nice and the wait staff was pleasant, but the food was way under seasoned. We placed a take-out order for Fire Chicken, Chicken Pad Thai, and Hibachi Chicken. Unfortunately, all three dishes were disappointing. The Fire Chicken was severely overcooked and had no heat or "fire" to it at all. The Chicken Pad Thai was even worse -- not only was the chicken overcooked, but the entire dish had an unpleasant, fishy taste that made it inedible. Lastly, the Hibachi Chicken followed the same trend, with dry, overcooked chicken. For the price we paid, we expected far better quality. This place is okay not great. I only get the sushi here and that's what my review is based on. It seems that they do a decent job putting the sushi and or rolls together. The cuts of fish isn't the best or the worst. My yellowtail sushi looked ok and the taste was fishy. Usually yellowtail is buttery and delicious. The salmon sushi was the star of my order and that was pleasing. The tuna sushi was the smallest cut of fish that I've seen them provide. The rolls were good. I chose a staff contest winner roll and one of their standard menu sushi rolls. It was buy a roll and get a roll free. The server was friendly and it's nice inside. I sat at the bar and received great service. I had the spicy crab salad and the Lo Mein dish. Both were fantastic. Can't wait to go back.

Stood in the lobby waiting to be seated for ten minutes. The hostess seemed confused and overwhelmed. She took my party and another party together (and we were confused why we even waited as there were plenty of empty tables once we entered) then she paused by an empty table. No one in my party was sure if we were to sit down or not so we ended up watching her take the other party to the other end of the restaurant to seat them while we stood by the table unsure if we were to sit, then she returned to confirm it was our table. Our waiter's name was Adam. Immediately got the vibe that he didn't want to be there. I was taken back (per usual) that a Japanese restaurant had no idea what shrimp sauce was. No I don't want mayo, no I don't want bang bang sauce, no I don't want chili sauce, no I don't want soy sauce. So after explaining for 5 straight minutes what shrimp sauce is, I ended up getting some kind of spicy sauce and one refill on water. Food was bland, sushi was the only redeeming quality. I ordered teriyaki chicken. Very bland. Definitely thought the menu mentioned served over steamed vegetables, but I had nothing but bell peppers and a couple bites of zucchini. Ordered with fried rice and couldn't figure out if it was actually fried or just brown rice. Would like to try again but I was not impressed with my first visit. read more

She had some good recommendations of what foods we needed to try and her recommendations were right. she was very polite and very friendly. We talked about her the whole way home. This establishment is very poorly run. It seems as though they are not staffed properly. One girl was super friendly, knew what she was doing and was on top of her game. At one point she had three tables at once being sat. She greeted them right away and came back to us with our bill. To no surprise, it got very busy and not one person on staff helped to bus tables or provide help. Aside from our waitress, everyone looked miserable and we even saw one girl roll her eyes. Took forever to get food, waitress brought the wrong meals out for two people ( brought orange chicken instead of sesame beef and didn't know the different. He tried to hand me my food and dropped the rest of the food on the floor. He did however manage all the things we needed. I feel like giving this so called restaurant more that one star is very unacceptable! My friends and I decided to have our girls dinner at wasabi 88 on 1/26/24. We were seated by our waiter/bartender Tyler at 6:27 pm who was pleasant initially. We placed our orders at 6:47pm, we were even waiting on one more friend, she placed her order when she arrived at 7pm. So as of 7 pm all appetizers and orders had been placed. Our appetizers came about 7:15pm. While waiting for our food, our waiter (Tyler) was bartending. We kept getting his attention and asking what was taking out order so long. He would come over and tell us that he was checking the status of our food. Mind you other customers were coming in, getting their food before us, and leaving, and while we're still waiting for our food. Our food was finally brought to our table a whole entire hour later! Clearly it doe not take a whole entire hour to make dishes for 4 people. The service was totally unacceptable! The floors and the bathroom was disgusting. I should have checked the sanitization score. This establishment is not the same as it was years ago. You're better off going to Japan Inn that has sushi rolls buy one get one, and better service. They have paper towels holding the table up. (see pic) It also had a foul odor, like old mop water. When we asked Tyler what could be done to correct this issue and this long wait, he said " Nothing" in a very disrespectful tone and manner. If you were supposed to be a bartender then focus on that, but we feel that he dropped the ball on our order while he was bartending. Who we've n seen embarrassed only your restaurant, but your own CUSTOMERS!!! By asking for tips so the bar can make money??? When we never visited the bar.... my partner and my bill was over $100 and our tip OVER %20 represented that. So even tho it wasn't directed to my partner and I specifically, it was people in our groups and we will NEVER bring anyone we know here because NOONE deserves to be embarrassed if they didn't tip over 20% after spending hard earned money. I've been here a few times to get the BOGO sushi. Those are super delish! I would definitely try a different sushi overtime you go because they all each have their own flavor. However the only reason I am not giving it a five stars is because for once I tried to eat something besides sushi. I got pad thai and it was NOT and I repeat NOT good whatsoever. I took my friend here last night for her birthday. I has always bragged to her that is place was amazing and we should go. I went last night. It wasn't busy but i had to get up from the table and ask for silverware at that we have been seated. We ordered an appetizer and he came after the entrées were delivered to the table. The waitress sat the drinks down on our table didn't tell us which ones were which and then when I finally got the appetizer a bit into it and my chicken was still bleeding. Everyone said it was wonderful and he stated that with our combine tips we didn't all top 20%. Then he went on and on about it embarrassing himself even more. What server does that.
