I sat down and the waitress came and asked me if I knew what I wanted, before I had put down my purse and opened the menu. I should have just left. I ordered the sushi lunch, it came with five pieces of chef selected nigiri and a California roll. The roll could have been tighter. The first piece I picked up, the filling fell out. Though I did appreciate that they use the pieces of krab instead of a krab salad mix. It was fine but nothing to write home about. The nigiri was a bummer. The texture was kind of chewy, like it had been frozen too long. Not that it was bad, it smelled and tasted fine, but I would rate this on par with grocery store quality. The salad was cold and crunchy but pretty flavorless and was half full of liquid on the bottom. The waitress asked me if I wanted anything else while I was still eating and brought the check. I was still out of there a half hour before closing time, but apparently not fast enough. The price point was surprisingly low, especially for this area, but I found no value in it.

Today was sleep in tackle lawn Sunday. Where you're hungry, want to eat a good meal and then get…read moreback to finish up the lawn work . Hesitantly we decided to eat before we stopped off at Lowe's and headed back to finish. Stay with me here. We were a little dirty. Not filthy. Not like we had mud all over us but dressed in work out clothes. Super casual. We entered and asked for a booth, The hostess took us to the back end of the booth where there were tables filled with other patrons. I wanted a bit more privacy and asked her to sit one booth back. She said no. Not to be deterred I sit down at the booth we wanted and felt most Comfortable. We wanted some privacy and not have people all around us. The request was to literally sit one booth back...this hostess wasn't having it. She literally demanded we sit at her booth of choice. Today, it became a "I'm not moving". She "slams" the menus and walks off. That behavior had to be addressed. I'm a reasonable person but expect a certain level of customer service. After all the price of eating out....isn't cheap these days and We eat here all the time. In fact, I became the DUKE again when checking in today.... #1 patron! I take great pride in the title. I discussed my frustration with the manager. When I asked to speak with her the hostess pointed to a manager sitting at the table vs going and getting her. Rude was an understatement. The manager didn't seem overly concerned. All said, the food was wonderful. The Tuna Tower (we ask for no rice) needed more avocado. The Pan Seared dumplings Devine as usual and of course the crab Rangoon are other worldly. The spicy bad girl roll was tasty. We added cream cheese. My sister gets her usual....every time. Hibachi Filet mignon, fried rice and Ginger Salad. It's her absolute favorite and she enjoyed every bite. I don't think one person should drive the overall review but today's experience was stressful...The food 5 Stars. Consistent. That said the hostess has influence and today's 1 star review is for her an her alone. We also ran into Lencho. Lencho is the absolute best waiter. Sundays though he works on the hibachi grill side. Bummer. His smile would have turned the experience around. He's that good and we love him. This is the second time where We've not experience the best customer service. Kyushu ownership should take note.....Some southern hospitality goes a long way. Look no further than to Lencho!

The service was very good constantly removing trash and dirty dishes during the evening. They did a very good job keeping drinks full and never hit the bottom of the glass. We have been here 100x or more with wait times averaging less than 2 mins even on busy evenings. They have not made many changes to their atmosphere during the last couple years but it's average. You will be in and out with good service in less than 2 hours. Overall I would recommend Kyushu as must go to place for Habachi.

Assured we would be well taken care of, all went well until my plate was served with evidence pasta was placed on my plate and shrimp were on my plate. Of course I had to discover this while eating. For me, this isn't a choice! It's the same as me rubbing raw chicken on your food and telling you it's okay, I took the raw chicken off. Train your kitchen staff. Do better. My day and probably the next two will be awful with uncomfortable symptoms. Oh and I'm traveling tomorrow so this will make for an interesting next few days. And to the female manager that came over with the "what now?" attitude, shame on you. No apology, just a "whatever" attitude - you need to fix that. I was gracious and asked only that the dish be removed from our bill. Do better or stop claiming you can care for customers with dietary needs. Just don't serve us if you won't take it seriously. Very unprofessional. I'll just lay here with my EpiPens for the next while. Grrrrrrr

I like that they have combinations (e.g. filet mignon&chicken). We loved the filet mignon. The chicken was a little dry both times we have ordered it; ask the hibachi chef for some of the teriyaki sauce on the side. I am not a shrimp fan, but shrimp in their yum yum sauce - holy cow! I am seriously considering ordering shrimp and scallops as my meal next time, because the seafood in yum yum sauce is amazing here. The staff is super friendly and readily accommodated my husband's endless requests. (Can I get mine with a double portion of fried rice? Two soups instead of soup and salad? A dish of that teriyaki sauce on the side?) Our favorite hibachi chef is Antonio. He was creative, friendly, and jived well with the family extroverts. The interior looks classiest after dark because of the lighting, so we will make a habit of coming more often in the winter. In the daylight it's just all right. The noise level and seating arrangements may make it difficult to have a conversation with more than one or two other people at your table, which is common in a hibachi restaurant. There was also a vent in the exhaust hood that rattled loudly over my head the whole time, but we were still able to carry on a conversation between four of us when we brought my husband's parents. Overall a decent choice for a good hibachi dinner.
