Foosball table, large television, etc. The rooms were equally as inviting. Lots of natural light but with the ability to really black things out in the room with a roll down curtain. The non-carpeted flooring was a nice, modern change. Beds were very comfortable, sheets clean, spacious layout, flat screen tv, mini fridge, etc. In-ground indoor pool was a nice option to have during our stay. Didn't seem all that popular among the guests staying at the same time as me since it was always empty but appreciated none-the-less. The hotel itself is situated in a concrete jungle so though there was a small outdoor seating area, don't expect much ambiance in terms of the outdoor space. Located next to a gas station, food store, and some strip mall restaurants - this hotel is convenient, serviceable, and an excellent option if you are in need of a place to stay in the middle of Delaware.

Since we visited during covid the housekeeping staff was helpful and friendly about exchanging out towels and giving us additional supplies like toilet paper while connecting in the hallway. We really appreciate that the toilet flushes well, but holy cow, keep a safe distance when flushing or you might lose something. Overall it was a good stay but we feel that something needs to be done to the parking entry area. Twice during our four days the entry (shared with Walmart and another retail space) was almost impassable with deep water that doesn't appear to drain properly. This isn't acceptable in our opinion and should be fixed as soon as possible.

We're definitely creatures of habit. Our latest visit was second to none. We were lucky enough to score seats at the bar for our party of seven. Taylor, our bartender, was fabulous. She was incredibly personable. She made so many great suggestions and recommendations, both for food/drink at the Atlantic Hotel in addition to other potential activities for us in the area once she learned we were here on vacation. The drinks she made were also on point. My Bloody Mary was one of the best I've had. The Orange Crushes were a hit between my mom and aunts who are always on the hunt for great Crushes. Oranges were juiced fresh for Crushes for each individual order which is great to see (not every place we've been does this). My wife loved her Mojito, and my cousins' drinks (Prickly Pear Margarita & Pear Martini) tasted every bit as good as they looked. I also thought it was very considerate of the bartender to serve the extra Pear Martini in a carafe that was resting in an ice filled glass to keep it chilled without watering it down. We also ordered food: Salmon BLT, Crabby Chicken Pretzel Club, Crab Cake Sandwich, Sriracha Dusted Wings, Crab Dip, Eggplant Tower. There were no complaints about the food, in fact, everyone pretty much loved what they ordered. The menu is unique and original containing some items you won't find on your typical menu. Each vacation isn't complete without a trip to Berlin which includes drinks and, at the very least, appetizers at the Atlantic Hotel. It replaced a frame Public House that had stood on the site. County courts were held here during construction of the Courthouse 1837-39. The accommodations and hospitality of the house made this a popular stopping place for both residents and visitors to the County Seat. Known for a time as the Union Hotel, this was a well-known gathering-place for northern sympathizers during the Civil War. After the war, business flourished with the coming of the railroad. With the advent of the automobile, the number of lodgers began to decline, and the hotel was closed in the mid-1950's. The building was later renovated and used as a bank until 1998. The Brick Hotel was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1979." This is marker number SC-139 and was erected by the Delaware Public Archives in 2000. When we drove up that little Mansion we could not believe our Eyes. Directly on the water in a magical setting...something we will never forget and definitely will revisit! We were greeted and got a tour that justified its history. We did have perfect weather conditions, so when we came back from dinner, we enjoyed ourselves for a little walk around the gardens and lake. The view from our balcony was stunning...you really have to pinch yourself...just making sure you're not dreaming...it made us feel happy as can be. The next morning...David prepared a beautiful spread of breakfast. Crab &Swiss cheese omelette, roasted Yukon potato, turkey bacon, country sausage, the bread basket had lavish varieties and customed as well towards my girl who has celiac disease with gluten free options, Room tempered butter, I think even the raspberry marmalade was homemade, fresh berries...I mean nothing was missing and it was put together with such care. It is nestled in a nice, quiet neighborhood with a noise ordinance that begins at 10pm. It has a 21+ guest age requirement, which was perfect for all of us staying there for a wedding. The staff is so accommodating and friendly. Special shout outs to Kyle, the reservation desk (and daytime manager, I believe) and to two of the best dining servers, Jessica and her daughter, Autumn. Their attitude and pleasant conversation made the start of our day so much more enjoyable. Jessica even made a special dinner plate for me to take up to the room for my traveling companion who had a wicked headache one morning. So appreciative of both of them. Speaking of dining, I loved the chef breakfasts that were prepared each morning. You received a menu on the table that specified the chef's selection that day. There was also a side table of fresh fruits, breads and juices to enjoy. You could then order a boxed lunch to be picked up by noon based on your selections from a separate menu listing. These meals were inclusive in your daily room charge. So convenient! Finally, they even had a "tea time" spread between 3-4pm, consisting of various teas and cookies, also complimentary. The hotel was completed in 1904 and has an old world feel to the entire inn. There is also a Guest House with several rooms just a short walk from the main house. Televisions are located in Room 12 and the Guest House only, as the establishment wants you to enjoy a relaxing stay where you can escape from life's hustle. Check out their website for descriptions of all the rooms, including ocean views, and other amenities at the Addy Sea as there are plenty of opportunities to enhance your stay. Check in was easy and efficient and our room was in the adjoining house with a large great-room that was stunning available to everyone staying there with a fireplace, large kitchen, sitting area and dining table. I loved that their sign said to please vacate by 9pm bc our room was on the third floor directly across the hall from it and right beside the community half-bath servicing it and the room had no soundproofing at all. You could hear even minimal talking from that great room (and it doesn't have a door). That is my only complaint about this Inn. The provided breakfast daily was wonderful. The first day we had quiche and the second we had chocolate chip pancakes. All made fresh when you sit down and included sides, coffee, fruit, and yogurt. Really delicious and good quality and the staff were so nice. My husband is diabetic and they easily modified the options to meet his lower carb/sugar request. They also have daily evening tea with a sweet treat which is fun and coffee, tea, and lemon water are available all day and night. Our room was beautiful and looked exactly like the photos and the inn is so charming. Perfect landscaping, all common areas are so cute, and the location is to die for right on the beach, with access to the sand just steps from the lovely wrap-around porch. We were unlucky and it was basically a freezing Nor'easter the weekend we came, so we didn't get to enjoy the beach, the bikes, or any of the out door amenities - but we still found it charming and enjoyed both the Inn and the town. Hopefully, we can come back again in the fall and enjoy milder weather.
