We went for the first time during happy hour. The server quickly pointed out drink specials and was very attentive throughout the service, she did a outstanding job. The reason for my rating was the food. I had the Texas cheesesteak. Great concept! "Smoked Brisket on a roll cheese, jalapeño relish spuds great. The brisket was did not appear to have been smoked. It tasted life big box frozen beef that had been sauced. I was very disappointed. My wife had the chicken fajita taco. It was about average. The beer was cold and reasonable price during happy hour. They don't have fries! I wanted to like the place and the menu sounds really good. I guess in Fort Worth, I expect to have smoke on the brisket, not sauce. read more

Today's lunch was an impressive mix of good company, great food, and excellent service. I ate the hickory pork sliders with beans and potato salad - everything was well seasoned and homemade, just how I like it. Our sweet and attentive waitress ( also the bartender, as we were seated at a high-top ) convinced us to have dessert ... the "Death by Chocolate" did not disappoint. We had a great experience here. The food quality, taste, and texture was top notch. The fish taco was really good and so was the pulled pork sandwich and all the fixings. We loved the potato salad. Had great potential but the food was just okay, the waitresses were pretty awkward and had to be reminded a few times about things we had asked for, and the table placements in the hallway that people walk through was weird. I grew up with these buildings - So thankful they were restored even better than their former glory!! Kudos to Robbie and Barry for doing it up right! I can honestly say, even in Fort Worth... a building that comes close may be Los Vaqueros/Fort Worth... Food is excellent! The Texican Burger is to die for! That gets 7 stars :) The bartender is very good at her job including making guests feel welcome. The lower patio is so nice with comfy outdoor sofas. The food was great - had the pulled pork sliders. Service was great, given how busy they were. Only complaint: the frozen sangria margarita. It was all ice, little liquid and what there was of it was bitter. Too bad as the drink was almost half the bill. read more

If you're drinking, sit at the bar and supervise. Watched them short pour every drink for 2 hours and still charge $9 for watered down cocktails. Martinis were made with one shot, rather than the usual 2-3. "Cheese Fries" are actually smothered potato chips. They don't make any fries. Portions small for prices. Nice patio/lounge area. My husband really likes the grilled cheese & pulled pork sliders. We both really like the loaded potato skins and the queso (has steak in it) Yesterday I tried the blue ribbon chicken taco. I must say it was fabulous! Best thing I've had so far. No wait to be seated (maybe 20 customers total), went downhill from there. After 20 minutes of waiting for a waitress to at least acknowledge we were in the restaurant, I was forced to get up and go find someone to see if we could have our order taken. Five minutes later waitress finally showed up. Ordered the BBQ fajitas and a brisket sandwich (BBQ is pre-cooked) after and additional twenty minute wait our food finally arrived. Waitress came by to check on us one time requiring me to get up from the table several times. Waitress brought us refills of RC Cola (who in Texas drinks RC Cola) we were both drinking Dr Pepper. Food was decent and overall atmosphere is good,,would have given them 4 stars if the service was even close to decent. read more

1 star. Place looks nice on the outside but beer selection is lousy and music is depressing. We had nachos and sliders on our first visit; nachos were fine, "brisket" was roast beef so there's that. Management doesn't acknowledge patrons; we were the only 2 people in bar area and he walked right by us twice without even making eye contact. The second time we went no management was there and when, again the only 2 people in the bar area, my wife remarked how the music was depressing the bartender agreed. Apparently the bartender texted the manager and his response was "oh well". Now I didn't ask to change the music, I didn't ask to text the manager and ask him to change his depressing music and I sure didn't ask to be disrespected by an obviously inept hospitality manager. I am not asking you to kiss my butt but common courtesy in the service industry goes a long way. I will never return to this establishment, nor will I go to the family's other establishments. You obviously won't miss me or my family's money. Oh well. read more

The reviews made us choose this place for date night. The food was not that good, the burger tasted like a frozen patty with a cheap bun. Cheesesteak was ok- although it was a bbq brisket on a hoagie which isn't anything like a cheesesteak in my opinion. No central air inside and it was very hot. Decor was nothing special and servers were standing outside the front door on their phones. Any of the other places in downtown Burleson would be better. read more

Finally got to try this place out since we had no kids for the night and we had read it was not really a family place. Sat on the patio with the heaters and our server Alicia was top notch. Seriously, one of the best. I asked for a sample of the white chicken chili and was accommodated. Started with the cheese "fries" which are actually homemade chips and they were fantastic. I ordered the chili after sampling because it was that good. Hubby ordered the signature grilled cheese at Alicia's suggestion. Not a winner for him. But hey, other folks seem to like it. The good: beyond great service from the minute we walked in and Alicia made the meal for us. The bad: little easy misses like not bringing my soup on a plate so it just spilled over onto me and the table. No crackers or cornbread or just something to go with the soup. Spelling errors on the menu. But again, little things that may get worked out since they are still new. Overall, we would go back and try some other items and we would absolutely bring our kids and sit on the patio and enjoy! So glad to have a new spot in Burleson. read more

This place is excellent. We ate there last Friday night and sat out on the patio. The food was fantastic, the waitstaff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was fun. I had the Mac n cheese with pulled pork on a grilled cheese. It sounded a little odd, but it was amazing! My hubby had the Texican burger and loved it. Everything was so delicious.
