Not hard to find. In a small parking next to Arco. Cash only. I wash my car myself 90% of the time and occasionally I need an emergency wash for my car when I don't have time. The reviews here made me think this was above average, but it's not. Right when I pulled in, I noticed two guys washing a Subaru SUV. One hand-washing it with no regards to the direction it was going, the other using a wide broom! Yes a freakin broom! I made sure to stand by my car during the whole process and be ready to abandon this project if that were to ever occur. If you care about your car's paint, DO NOT COME here. They reuse basic car washing mitts for their hand wash. Not even a micro fiber towel. Goes in ugly circular motion back n forth. Not ideal for metallic paint or nice paint. The drying process was also cringeworthy. A leaf blower along with the same beat up drying towel that's been used. Just horrible drying technique (circular motions) and they rely on cheap detailer spray to mask the poor drying job. I'm still leaving a good tip because their quality of work was probably trained by the owner, so I won't fault them. I just won't be coming back here again. read more

They do such a good job here, the line is always long. It's $15 for small car, $18 for SUV. The place is right behind Jack in the Box. It is definitely not a pretty place, but looks are deceiving. They are very detailed in what they do. Vacuum, pressure hand car wash, hand dry, inside clean, and scent done in an assemnly line by 5 workers or so. Usually with wait and car wash I spend about an hour here. I have an SUV and it's too much work to do by myself so I come here instead. So car washes... You can never find one that just "does" it. But I feel like this is close. I went in early before the commute to work. It's in a hard to find location behind a car dealership, and there is usually a line. (Enter on the street by Jack n the box) The reason for the line could be a few things: 1. They are slow* 2. They don't have a smooth process 3. They are slow and terrible. As I pull in I notice im probably the first customer of the day, I see them washing out the hand mitts with a pressure washer on the ground. (Not how I would do it, but I digress) I get out of the car and was greeted by a nice older Latin lady. I tell her inside and out, por favor (Not sure she understood because I don't speak great Spanish) I set out to go sit on the provided furniture. It's under a green canopy that blocks some of the morning sun. The furniture is decent, but it's not glamorous. I noticed a long time for the vacuuming, and I'll chalk that up to a car that got back from a beach trip the previous week. Once they pull it into the wash bay, they guys get to work. The guy that washed out the mitts and what appears to be the boss of the crew. I'm not the biggest fan of pressure washing a car, but I understand the reasoning. It gets crap clean. After it gets hand washed it's pulled right in front of you and that is when I enjoyed watching them work. The right way to dry a car is a good quality rag that is semi damp and rung out regularly, along with a welcome surprise they use a leaf blower too get in all the nooks, crannies, and jams (A++++) They then proceed to dry and clean the car inside and out, using some liquid spray on the car, along with some tire dressing. I feel they spent quality time on my car and the end result was fantastic. $15 for the wash and clean, so I felt completely fine with giving them a twenty and on my merry way....well when I started the car, someone must have hit the windshield wiper handle, so it smeared an already done windshield. As I get out I ask for a rag to wipe it down real fast, between one of the ladies and the boss mentioned earlier they didn't let me and re cleaned the windshield. Top notch service. I will definitely keep giving this small business my service once a week or so, depending on the bird crap situation in my neighborhood. *Slow in this case is a great thing, as the son of a life long detailer, you learn all the tricks and how to do things right. I only noticed a couple misses, but hell I can notice misses from a very highly rated detailer I found via yelp, and spent $200 on. It's a gift and a curse at times read more

So freaking difficult to find even with the tips of fellow Yelpers. As the previous review mentioned, there's a big red sign on the back wall of Arco that says "Car wash." If you look at the opposite side of where the arrow is pointing, across the street, you'll see a little almost alley way like entrance and a small wooden sign next to it that says "Hidalgo Car Wash." It's a small little entrance right behind Hoover Ranch Market on 23rd St. It's small but they're very thorough and having multiple people work on a car increases attention to detail and efficiency! My favorite car wash in LA! These people clean the interior of my car better than any car wash I've been to in LA. Only $18 for a car wash for my Honda Civic. Cash only and don't forget to tip! They are friendly and do such a good job. On Tues/Wed, they offer discounts. I'm going to come back on a Tues or Wed for a $35 wash and wax. On days when they are busy, just be patient. I always bring something to read just in case. Worth the wait. Also, this is a small operation, so don't expect anything commercial. Lower overhead means better prices. read more

Highly recommend this place. My car was in a great need of a car wash, and I'm glad I went to this place. The price is now $18 for a regular sized car (previous reviews say $15), but I think it's worth it. They first clean/vacuum the inside of my car before cleaning the outside. They also spent the time cleaning the wheels and shinning my car. Very clean both inside and out. There were about 5 people that worked on my car, and it took about 20 minutes. I usually wash my own car, but the next time I don't have time to do it on my own, will definitely be returning here. The location is across from the Arco gas station on 23rd street. When you turn into 23rd street, you'll see a big sign for "Car Wash" with an arrow pointing towards Arco. But the location is actually on the other side of the street. read more

I was here a week ago. People doing the work are very nice and polite. Reason for two stars: 1. When came in, one car was allowed to go ahead of the line and be washed asap. I was later told that the was the lady who owned the wash and some other businesses in this corner. To the boss lady - shame on you, disrespecting your customer. 2. I am pretty sure they dropped something on my car when washing it. The car later had a tiny paint dent that was not there before and I remember a man who was washing glanced at me sheepishly at some point while washing. I cannot prove it but dent wasn't there. 3. Not sure what they used to detail inside but it stained the car. 4. While putting wax they did not finish polishing, I had to finish up. So all in all, I get mad even writing this review - for 1.5 hrs spent at this place and paying $50+generous tip I got a shitty job. Pictures are posted. I would not recommend. I decided to check out this place because it is so close to the USC campus! There was one car in line ahead of me when I arrived. This isn't a fancy place - just a bunch of people working hard and washing your car. It's only $18 for a regular wash - and they do the inside too. The whole process was about 30 minutes and my car was squeaky clean. Bring a book to read or a jacket because you're sitting outside waiting! read more

For the price it is a decent deal. The hand wash for the outside is top notch, but the inside well, you have to give your car a good look over. There was water in my cup holders, dust on my steering wheel from the rag and quite a but of lint from their rags. They need to change the cloths they use on the inside. I might bring my own next time. It wasnt fast but they do have chairs under a tarp. I walked to Jack in the Box and got a cup of coffee. Baskin Robbins is also right down the street. If you want decor in a waiting area, then this place is not for you. If you want your car cleaned inside and out but want to save money then this is the best spot that I have found so far. The people that work there are very friendly and knowledgable. Be prepared for an upsell to an $80 wax job. Smart business people because that is what I would do if this was my business. It's cheap and your car does get clean. However, I didn't expect to see scratches on my car after. It's mainly in the top coat but they are still scratches. I'm so sad, it's a new car and I didn't think that this would happen. So if you have a nice paint job, I wouldn't come here. The brush they use to clean the car is too abrasive. read more

NOT GOOD ANYMORE! I go to this car wash place since I study in USC for about two years. The price is good, and they do a really good job. But today the car wash I got is the worst ever! Price goes up by $5 but the service....After my car wash they still leave a lot of mud spots that you can see with a glance on my door. I have some black spot on my door need special cleaning with the mud spots so it's ok they cannot clean those black spots. But the mud spots?! They don't even clean it completely than call it finished?! I said to the lady who wash the car that those mud spots needs to be wiped and cleaned because I can remove it with just a scrap of my fingernail. Than she's like" we cannot remove it with our nail for every car". RIDICULOUS!!!And than she ask me to pay$15 for the wash which 3months ago I came it's only $10. Neither of the addresses for the car wash is correct. After driving around for half an hour I was finally able to look at the car wash and arrived at 2:30 PM on a Sunday when they close at 3 PM. They refuse to wash my car saying that it was too late to get my car washed. If it had the correct address in the first place I would've been there on time. Even though they speak Limited English everything worked out well, and it only cost $15. Wash took about 40minutes even with other cars ahead of me.
