    Watermelon margarita

A coworker and I decided to have a HH morning with some margaritas. This is a nice dive bar with plenty of character. They have multiple flavored margaritas plus a full bar w/plenty liquor options to choose from. $3.00 margaritas at 7a.m. in the morning after a long night at work....SCORE!!! Ashley's pick

    ADA! For service dogs

I suggest this establishment and employees read the ADA when it comes to service dogs. There is no paperwork for service dogs. I was just told to leave because I have my service dog there. She is a psychiatric service dogs for service members that have PTSD and I was just asked to leave because this place doesn't allow dogs. And then the bartender wanted to argue with me when he asked me to produce paperwork and I tried to explain to him there is no paperwork to produce! I suggest you educate every employee before you get sued! And yes, I have it recorded as soon as he asked me for paperwork for the third time after I told him there is no paperwork and let's look up ada.gov together

Probably one of my favorite bars in Dallas. It's my friends' go-to spot for a chill fun night out. Bartenders are always friendly and pour strong (be careful!). It's nice to take a break from the strip and hang out here. The jukebox is always playing good music and you're always going to meet someone new.

Drinks on the patio have become a favorite weekend activity for my husband and I.

The best on a Sunday afternoon. Unfortunatly, too many straight women come here with their gay friends.

Does hidden door serve food, + does the bigger size boys attend here?

Food isn't served except at some of the fundraisers and special events. It's a favorite with the plus-sized crowd, i.e., bears.

Is this an ok bar for lesbians? I know it says gay bar, but I've seen some people saying there weren't a lot of women.

This is a LGBT bar, but was once mostly gay men. Over the past few years it has greatly changed clientele. There are lesbians, srt8 women, str8 men and it is very racially diverse. In short everyone is welcome. Come and check it out!!

How old do you have to be to enter? I'm 17 just looking for I guess a "safe place" where I know everyone is like me❤️

This is a year old, but in case anyone else wonders.. you must be 21 to enter this and most bars. And you must be 21 to purchase booze anywhere. As a side note, they do check id, so make sure you have yours on you if you are of legal age to enter.

When you think Texas, while you may think line dancing and country bars, you rarely think of a gay country bar with line dancing! But it exists and is Round-Up Saloon! The bar is large, as are most things in Texas. While it seems like one big open space, there are separate areas from the dance floor to pool table area, more formal bar station and even a patio. There are six distinct bars throughout, each with their own vibe! This makes getting a drink easier and cuts down on the wait, which is very appreciated by all! We spent most of our time overlooking the dance floor. When we wanted a drink, we made our way to the small corner bar. We had a favorite bartender and this was their station for the night! Speaking of drinks, they are a bit pricey, including a water, but with that, they are certainly gay-bar strong! With the size of the place, it can and does get packed, so be prepared. There is enough space, but it gets intimate the later in the evening it gets. Overall, we had a phenomenal time at Round-Up Saloon. The most memorable part, which was amazing to see and feel, was the spirit of everyone just existing and being themselves. Absolutely one of my favorite gay bars I have visited!

There was a not great drag show going on with a few onlookers downstairs. I checked upstairs because I love karaoke, but it was not great up there either. There are huge soft couches to sit in, which is awesome if you're there with a group. It's less awesome if you're there alone trying to socialize. There was nobody dancing. Maybe after the drag show finished some dancing happened. On the positive side, there were mostly women there. The $6 cover didn't bother me. If it keeps one of the very few lesbian bars out there open, then I'd pay double that. Next time I'm in Dallas, I'm going to give them another shot without as much pre-gaming.

And the place looks like a lot of fun with 2 floors, pool tables and a gigantic bar inside. There's a terrace outside where patrons can sit and to relax. I didn't try the food. After a couple of drinks at Sue Ellen's, you can always go and check out JR's upstairs.

It's very large being two stories with several rooms including the Rose Room Lounge which could almost be a separate club all by itself where they host all of their drag shows - lots of famous girls from RuPaul's drag race got their start there. There is a large outdoor deck upstairs as well as downstairs. Drinks are super cheap. This place is known as the "afties" bar because they are open until 4 AM though they will still stop serving alcohol at 2 AM The biggest downside is that they tend to charge a cover almost every night, which is pretty annoying, but I guess that's standard for Dallas.
