    Pancake Tacos

I really struggled on how to rate our visit....so here goes. We visited as a party of 6 for Saturday Brunch at about 2pm. We were the only guests so we were immediately seated. As many have mentioned the music is loud, but we didn't mind because the Pandora station they were playing was great. Our waiter was nice, but seemed like he may have been new. But he did a decent job. Because of reading reviews beforehand we brought our own mimosas, which was a $10 "corking". They do not have a liquor license, but you can BYOB for a fee. Our group ordered a variety of items.....pancake tacos, salmon croquettes, catfish and grits, shrimp and grits, Gem breakfast, wings, Big L breakfast. Everything was EXTREMELY good....once we finally got our food. They told us while ordering, they didn't have the fruit bowl for the Big L, so would credit the meal $6.....no biggie. As I mentioned, we were the only guests in the restaurant and it took about 45 mins to get most of our food. They missed one of the orders, so one in our party didn't get a chance to eat with us. It was finally ready after everyone finished eating, so we just got it packed up to go. Thankfully we had enough food to share, but sadly we weren't even offered a discount for the inconvenience. We couldn't figure out what could have taken so long to prepare our food. The kitchen is in view and it looks like there were 2 cooks. Except one kept going in and out the back door. I won't say that he was smoking, but there was a very pungent smell every time he returned back. If he spent more time in the kitchen maybe our orders would have been complete and quicker. Again the food was DELICIOUS and the prices were fair, except for the corking fee.....but the wait was outrageous. I would return if that aspect improved. 45 mins to cook 6 breakfast meals is unacceptable.

This place was saved on me and my boyfriend's list of places to go for a while now. But I will never come back to this place ever again it's Hidden for a reason. I went for a friend's birthday this past weekend and it was five of us. The server sat us pretty quickly because it was no one there waiting. There was four us at the table and we were waiting for my boyfriend to get there but I ordered for him so we all ordered our food at the same time. But EVERYONE got their food separately. One person gets their food and is almost done before the next person gets theirs is ridiculous. The birthday friend got his first of course and he says his was good (Salmon and Shrimp Alfredo), second person to receive his food got the Curry Chicken with mostly bones and rice, my boyfriend then receives his the Curry Goat at this point is when the kitchen decided to let our server know they can't make two orders because they don't have enough goat. Like really they couldn't inform her before when she placed the order!!!! Anyway our server asked if I wanted the chicken curry instead but after seeing all the bones on my friend's plate I was not with it. So I said no and asked for the Jerk Chicken. Our server clearly told the kitchen Jerk Chicken I heard her because the music stopped midway of our visit and also we were sat right in front of the kitchen. Then comes my food the last one served after everyone is almost done eating and it's the Curry Chicken I let the server know that I ordered the Jerk Chicken not the Curry and the kitchen apologized and remade my order. But honestly by the time I got my food I was ready to go because everyone was done eating and on top of that I was missing rice. My whole thing is I've been a server, bartender and cook back in college like I understand things happen low staff etc etc but when there is a problem with a table I always let my manager/owner who ever was in charge check on my table or they would do it automatically even when there was nothing wrong because they care!!! I couldn't even tell if there was one there honestly but who cares because I won't be back.

Short staffed today and sat ourselves picking up menu s along the way. However, the one waitress they had was very nice and apologized! Ambiance and music was nice! Food was good!

Flaming Wing Dings Signature Caesar Salad Turkey Chops

Well, I came here. The food may look good, but (outside of the turkey chops), it was NOT good. It was about 9pm on a Saturday night. When I got there, there were people in the back room (it may have been a private party) and to the side was a bar with young people there. The main dining area (where I was seated--all the way in the corner) had about 20-30 empty tables. On a Saturday night, I would think more people would be there. I'm still trying to understand why I was seated so far back in a corner? Anyhow, I was enjoying the music and the atmosphere. The waitress was nice and I placed my orders. She let me know that I am allowed to bring my alcoholic beverage, but there would be a charge for it. It's BYOB. In a "restaurant". HUH??? How about this, why don't the owner(s) of Hidden Gem just get there liquor license if liquor is allowed?! How are you going to charge me to drink something I've already purchased before I came to your so-called establishment? It's like I'm paying for the same liquor twice. That's not cool! I'm really confused here. Make it make sense, please. Now, for the food, it took about 20-30 minutes for me to get my food. I asked the waitress what her recommendation was and she suggested the turkey dinner, so I had the turkey chops with potatoes (which were diced with onions and peppers). The turkey chop was seasoned nicely. It could've been juicier, though, and I only had about three tablespoons of potatoes. They were ok, but they could've gave me more than that. They were generous with the turkey chops. I also had the flaming wings and a grilled chicken Caesar salad. I didn't like the salad. It had primarily iceberg lettuce in it (not enough romaine) and the chicken tasted sour. On my way home, I almost threw up and my stomach was bubbling. Throughout my dining experience, the music stopped and the cooks were earshot from me. They were cursing like sailors. So unprofessional! I gave this restaurant a two stars, because the waitress was pleasant (one star). My turkey chop was good (two star). But overall, I will not be back. Behind the BYOB aspect, the length of time I got my food, the horrible tasting food that my stomach hurting, the lack of customers, and cursing cooks, I'M GOOD ON THIS PLACE. I WON'T BE BACK!

I have to say I totally enjoyed Sunday brunch here several times. The pace is relaxed, no liquor served. However you can BYOB for an uncorking fee. The food was outstanding. And I enjoyed the fresh brewed coffee.

I forgot to Yelp this place last weekend when I was home. The flamming anejo wings were AMAZING! Next time I'm home I wanna check out there breakfast menu.

It sadness me to write this review. I really enjoy the atmosphere and camaraderie at trivia night…read moreat MBTB. But I am outraged by new ownership that apparently changed over on Monday. We went for trivia and expected it to be the same as always, unfortunately it was not. They erased our points we've earned for a free glass, these are no longer honored. The menu has significantly changed: flights are $2-$3 more, no longer include flight bites, an upcharge for premium pours (which is understandable), no longer has a $5 bottle credit, and each glass is now $3-$5 more per pour. Why did you have to make every last item on the menu more expensive? I understand that the economy and inflation contribute to these things, but to increase the price and get less on everything throughout the menu plus not honor points earned for a free glass is a slap in the face. I'm just crushed at the blatant disrespect for the regulars that come every week for trivia or other events, no warning. Our trivia night just got a whole lot more expensive and we will be looking at other locations with more reasonably priced beverages and snacks. I hope they still allow us to bring in our own food, they did this week but who knows if that will also change. The staff seemed stressed telling us the new rules as well.

The food options are equal to speakeasy bar bites like pretzels, nuts, cheese and chocolate. We got the charcuterie board and it was okay. I'd like to see them upgrade this option maybe some fresh fruit or something. But I'll always say YES to this place :)

It had the vibe of a garden party. There was a covered area, but seemed to have an event in it. I think it would be a perfect place for a baby/ bridal shower. Service here is STELLAR! There is a main server, an "assistant" to the server for each table, plus other staff members were very quick to step in and help at any moment. Our table was cleared immediately and wiped clean between courses. We were checked on multiple times throughout- not an annoying amount but perfect. The staff we spoke with were also very personable. We did start with one of every oyster but forgot a picture. They went through each so we would remember which was which from the menu, which was appreciated. They do have a special on oysters - $2 each Tues-thurs during happy hour (I think it is 4-6pm) The smoked sturgeon was phenomenal. I have never eaten sturgeon before and it had so much flavor. Not dry at all and the pickled veggies were a good touch for this. This also included the cornbread which I wanted to try but didn't want a whole side of, so this is a good 2 for 1! The monkey bread is a must order. We saw so many people with it at their table and had FOMO. Worth it. Just order it. My husband ordered one of the steaks on special. It was described as a salsa verde, but realistically it was more of a chimichurri on top. Cooked perfectly. I ordered the fish and chips which came crispy on the outside but the fish was still flaky and soft on the inside. It comes with coleslaw, which was just ok. It also had some crispy potatoes- I do wish this came with a different potato version. The potatoes were cooked really well, but just felt very dense next to a fried fish.
