    Salted caramel martini
    Amy W.

Ivy has been on our list for quite some time but we were in the area and it made sense to eat here. The location is very cute. I loved the ambiance. When we walked in the place was empty. That's ok though. It was happy hour. Yay! So we sat at the bar and ordered our first round of drinks. The salted caramel martini was delicious. It did not disappoint. We decided to stick with the happy hour menu because we had already been snacking. We got wings and the meatballs. The wings were delicious and are the most popular item on the menu. The meatballs were ok. I wasn't overly excited. The reason that I deducted stars was due to the service. Although the bartender was lovely, she also disappeared a lot and for a long time. She was more busy cleaning windows and mirrors than she was interested in customer service. Although it started out well I ended up disappointed and I don't think I would come back.

    This is the bill .

Food was good .The wait staff special . Bill was High I ordered the wonton taco $16 you get 3 but the waiter didnt make that clear I order 2 so I received 6 They were good My bill I dictated 2 wonton taco 16#each But a 3rd wonton was listed on bill at 10$ .I discovered after leaving .so Be careful about your final bill .I didnt drink total bill was 163.00 with tip for 2 people Way over priced IMO Happy to see and support Black owned business .but the extra 10$ added to my bill is suspect

    Salmon Shrimp and Grits.

First off I'll start by saying the owner is amazing! Love to see how her business has grown. Every time we go the staff is amazing and provides great service. Nice design with indoor and outdoor seating located right of Jefferson near Indian Village. I consider myself a Shrimp & Grits connoisseur and I must say their Salmon, Shrimp & Grits was amazing! Full of flavor and some of the best I have ever had!

After seeing many videos of this place on Instagram, my friends and I decided to give it a try. The place is small so if you're not looking, you will miss it. They have a small parking lot in the back, but there is parking on the street. When we walked in the building, we were immediately in the dining area with the hostess stand in the front. We explained that our reservation was at 2 o'clock and we were told to wait a few minutes because they had to clean some tables off for us. A few minutes later a waitress came out and told the hostess to hold the door and not let anyone else in until they cleaned the tables. So the hostess was nice and let us know that she will give us a call when our table is ready so we went back outside and sat in our car waiting for the call. We waited for 20 minutes and still no call then we went back in there and the hostess said just a few more minutes. She did mention that we could sit at the bar instead of sitting outside waiting so we went to the bar and noticed there was two other parties in the restaurant with all the tables cleaned off. We informed the bartender that we were waiting for a table. He looked around puzzles then graciously sat us at a table. We were kindly greeted by our waitress, who informed us of what was available and what wasn't. We placed our drink orders and we all agreed that our drinks tasted water down. We then ordered the bread and butter, which is a croissant with honey butter that was very, very good if I come back, I will get that again. We also ordered the chicken and waffles which we all agreed that the waffle was bland and the chicken was over seasoned. This place is aesthetically pleasing, but the food is bland. I did check out the dinner menu and there are some things I would like to try so I will give it one more try.

    Sesame ginger salmon

Ivy Kitchen is just a few minutes from my apartment, so this is a great go-to spot for me. The bread and butter appetizer is incredible, and both the creamy cajun pasta and sesame ginger salmon are go-to's for me. The service is always incredible and the interior decor is really nice for a date night or a nicer night out with friends. Would highly recommend!

Here is the lay of the land: Check in at the little red table in the center of the outdoor courtyard if you want "full service". - which means eating and drinking at a table with wait staff. It is not seat yourself at the outdoor tables, like we originally thought. There is a nice sized bar indoors and seating at the bar is first come first served. We ordered several of the small plate "snacks" and I can tell you that the hummus is not to be missed. It is served with (homemade?) tortilla chips that are absolutely addictive. They have lots of choices for wine, beer, and cocktails. Towards the back entrance of the property, there is a drink truck where you can also order "walkaway" food and drinks. Not entirely sure where you sit with the food/drinks you order, as most of the seating seemed reserved for full service. Additionally, there is a photo booth for pics (long line) and Warda Patisserie is right next door and accessible through a garden walkway.

The inside restaurant area is also beautiful. We wanted to sit inside at the bar, so we waited for some seats to open up. If you want to sit outside, all you have to do is order at the bar and they'll serve your drinks in plastic cups for you to take outside. The rhubarb pie punch was so delicious I had to order it twice! Probably one of my favorite cocktails I've ever had. I also ordered the maurixio cattelan, which tasted like ginger ale. For a snack before dinner, we chose to get the burrata and it was so refreshing. The service was great and our bartender was super friendly! The logo with the little lamb is adorable. I bought one of their wine glasses with their logo on it too for just $10.

Reservations are not required but recommended on weekends. The decor is amazing, 70s lounge vibes. I loveddd the menu and the graphics with each drink. The menu was very unique and everything sounded so interesting and good, I truly could have tried it all. I ordered the Newport smash and it tasted EXACTLY like a cigarette. I absolutely hated it but I respect that fact that they were able to create this drink so well. It's my fault for being an idiot and not realizing I ordered a cigarette flavored drink. I can't believe how well they nailed the flavor. The prices were high but worth it for a drink! Overall, I loved Saksey and will be going back and recommending it!

Service was great and the staff is knowledgable about the flavor profiles of the various cocktails. They also offer a short "bar snacks" menu and had a few interesting specials. The burger looked delicious. As for the atmosphere....so awkward. The tables are uncomfortably close together and it kills the whole vibe. I do not want to be physically bumping elbows with the people next to me when drinking $22 cocktails. Additionally, they play great music but the volume is so low that all you can hear is EVERY word of the conversations on either side of you. Not our jam, but glad to have had a chance to check it out.
