First time visiting Hideaway Brew Garden, and even though I never got to see it before the remodel, this place really is a hidden gem! Such a fun spot with a great atmosphere. We came during their opening weekend after the remodel, and they had a cover band playing that made the whole place feel so lively. The outdoor setup, music, drinks, and overall vibe were definitely the highlight for me. We tried the sampler and thought the food was decent overall. The only thing I probably wouldn't order again would be the wings. They were a little lacking in flavor and didn't have much meat on them. That being said, I didn't come in expecting the food to be the main attraction since this is more of a bar and entertainment spot, and it absolutely delivers on both of those! I also have to mention how much I loved the branding. The logo and the printed packaging for the platter are so creative and give the place so much personality. The skull, florals, and bright colors immediately reminded me of Día de los Muertos and Latin visual culture, which really resonated with me. Since the overall concept of the place feels very Americana, I'd genuinely love to know the story or inspiration behind the logo and how that visual direction came to be! Such a great place to hang out on a summer night. We'll definitely be coming back next summer! read more

The new, and somewhat improved, Hideaway Brew Garden reopened for the season with an expanded building and menu. It looks nice and has a solid lineup of entertainment and events, like this past weekend's "Pups and Pirates" Pet Fest and "Margaritas and Makers." However, there are long lines and wait times for food and drinks. The food seems pretty much the same, quality-wise, just newer variety. Also, how can the bathrooms be out of order, due to a burst pipe, this early in the season? If you are here and having drinks, be sure to plan ahead for the long walk (and lines) for the porta johns! We love setting up our chairs and blanket in the shady, back area, under the trees where the music isn't too loud for pups and it isn't as crowded. read more

My family and I recently visited Hideaway Brew Garden for a Taylor Swift Dance Party, we rented the 2D camper which was right next to the DJ and it did not disappoint! The DJ played all the best hits, he had the crowd on their feet all night! The food was amazing with plenty of options to choose from the menu. We also got the Sears Tower beer tower for our group which lasted all night, definitely a must! You can also make it into a cocktail tower, they have other fun towers like the dynamite as well. Our waiters were very attentive throughout the whole night(sorry I forgot their names), we had such a great time, it's definitely a must this summer! & it's kid & pet friendly! read more

What a hidden gem, unless you know about it, you'd never venture here as it's off the traditional path. There is plenty of nearby free parking and they are pet friendly! We came by for an event recently and had such a great time. They have food stalls and a beer garden for you to purchase food and drinks to enjoy at their picnic tables and enjoy great music. They also have campers and saloons that you can rent out for groups ahead of time that you can pre-purchase items for and the bar staff will bring over. Such a fun and unique summer spot! We visited Hideaway Brew Garden during their Irish Festival and had an amazing time. The atmosphere is super laid-back and family-friendly -- live music, great food and drinks, and even corgi races (which were adorable!). There's plenty of seating, cool vendors with handmade crafts, and string lights that make it feel really cozy in the evening. It's great for both adults and kids -- plus it's pet-friendly, which is a huge bonus. Roomy outdoor venue that attracts a lot of fun bands during the warmer months. There are food and beer shacks that serve up summer fare and libations. The staff is fairly invisible while maintaining a nice atmosphere, which is a hard balance to strike. The acoustics are very good for an outdoor experience, and large trees provide a good amount of shade. This place helped us make the most of our memories at the tail-end of summer night. It was our 2nd time back at the Hideaway Brew Garden to see one of our favorite local bands "Run Forest Run" featuring Isabella Snow for the night who was simply amazing. It was fun to share this night with the family, snacking on Oreo Churros and dancing to some blasts from the past. Hideaway Brew Garden was the perfect venue to start the weekend and getting our kids acquainted to music and dancing with us. Perfect for couple dates, friends gatherings and family get togethers too. We brought our own seats and chilled out. What I love most about this place is there is no cover or entrance free. They also have some amazing looking spaces for reservations as well. This night we finally redeemed ourselves from the rain pour on the first round (which bad luck ensued twice for both times featuring Taylor Swift nights, one due to power outage and next time closed early due to inclement weather). This is a really cool and fun place to hangout with some friends and enjoy live music, drinks, and food. We came here for a friend's birthday celebration- she rented out the "Friends" trailer area(just like the show Friends). Everything is outside, and there are other trailer/tent areas that can be rented out as well. Next to us was The Office trailer. We were served by a waiter and waitress all night and they actually did a really good job considering how packed the place was, and the fact that there were many others celebrating in other sections with pretty large groups. They had some local beers on their menu, such as the Summerly from Pollyanna brewery located in Roselle. Loved that they're supporting local breweries! I could be wrong, but I think you are only served if you're renting a tent/trailer. There are food and drink stands that you can walk up to and order yourself if you're just hanging out in the lawn. I've attached photos of our Friends trailer. Sooo cute! It resembled the show just enough to make it fun and exciting! From live music, to trivia games, to good food, and of course, the movie - what a fun way to spend your summer weeknight in the Chicago suburbs! This place was a lot of fun! Went with a small group and got their early enough for a bench at Dueling Pianos show. Food was ok - little overpriced but good enough for snacking around the table. Late post: We went to the dialing pianos with my parents last year and had a great evening! This is a great space to hang out, enjoy the ambiance of a chill patio with bistro lights and picnic tables with some good beer choices. I'm a fan of Hoffbrauhaus Dunkel and it's one of the only places I can find it on tap. The whole concept of Hideaway is on point. It is a great venue, there is a lot of beer variety on tap, in cans, and there are plenty of other drink options. There is also food available that is good with enough variety for a place like this. I also love the space, it's got a very cool vibe with nice tables and also plenty of grass for open seating or lawn games. I would check out the Hideaway anytime the weather is great or you hear of a concert in the park there...Bring your kids and their friends...You will be entertained and they will be too from the sheer open concept of the land there. I have been twice and plan to go back again and again. Why not a perfect review you ask...Well, the prices are a bit high for the suburbs. Most draft beers are $8 which is a bit much for what you are getting. Also, most of the workers are clueless. The people who run the social media do not communicate with the workers. For instance, every Tuesday for awhile now, I would see a Taco and Margarita special posted for Tuesdays...I just went this Tuesday and not only was there no special, multiple workers looked at me like I had two heads. It wasn't a good feeling, especially since two other families came with us on my recommendation. I think they need to keep the promos consistent and fully communicate with all workers at the bar and the food truck. That said, the convenience of being able to bring your kids, is too good to pass up. So pack the kids a cooler to save a couple bucks so the adults can enjoy the bar. read more

"We want to make this place the new Poplar Creek!" The MC announced. That's a bit of a stretch, but it was fun to hear live music in an outdoor setting so close to the original Poplar Creek Theater. Food was good - especially the quesadillas. Pretzels looked good, too. Beer selection was top-notch, and even the cocktails in cans were tasty. Great crowd, the only complaint is the seating. You have your choice of picnic tables with umbrellas over them (no backs on the seats, hard bench), or those cheap plastic "Adirondack" chairs you see at the home center (you lean so far back in them you swear you're about to get your teeth cleaned), and there's really no elevation to anything, so unless you're in the front row, you won't see most of the band. But those quibbles aside (bring your own chairs and quit whining!), this was a fun night out - when the weather cooperates. Recommended -- but watch the radar! read more

This venue is cool however, out of touch with pricing. When a white claw cost me $8.(more expensive than Shore Club, downtown Chicago on the beach) something is wrong! They now charge you a fee to sit just about anywhere. It used to be a neighborhood place that everyone went to all the time and now nobody wants to go because it's just too expensive. It is cheaper to go to a four-star restaurant than it is to go to this backyard brew garden. It never used to be like this! I get the whole economy thing I'm all about it but, It cost us more to go here than it did when we went to Ruth's Chris with a great bottle of wine. Something is wrong here. We try really hard to support local and there's a very large group of us but I can't get anyone to come back to the Hideaway and that's sad. Attended yesterday for some live music. $23 for 4 tacos, $22 for a white claw and a glass of wine. Definitely tried to look at pricing before we went but no surprise that they are not listed anywhere when they cost that much. I'm very confused on why this place charges so much when there is no overhead? No waiters, no cleanup, no rent? Not even a parking lot? Upon walking out we discovered how much it costs to rent out a "special area" , like a booth, an enclosure or "pit" close to the bar, or even a fenced off area near a staged camping trailer. Outrageous. I'm sure many people are willing to pay that kind of money for Instagram worthy photos and the ambience, but I am definitely not one of them. The band on stage was great, great selection of draft and can beers, awesome ambience (holiday lights strung everywhere), street tacos and food trucks, clean bathrooms, plenty of seating and tables, bags games set up, everybody respectful and friendly. Really cool place. But literally took almost half hour to get a beer. Hopefully service gets better ! You have to stand in long line that barely moves , since they serve food too. Stopped in yesterday for an hour and might have found my new summer watering hole. Very cool place. Nice setup, laid back atmosphere.
