Went on a weekend to watch a Halloween themed Drag Queen Show. I think it was $25 at the door & $20 online. They announced there's a performance once a month. There's no food menu & a very comprehensive Martini menu. It's surrounded by restaurants along this street so I'm sure you can bring your own in but call to make sure. The drag queens were very flexible, very nice & spent a lot of time on their make up & attire so make sure you have those dollar bills ready to hand it to them via hand. Not a risqué type event. I was not 100% prepared but luckily had sort of enough dollar bills/cash. It's good to do something different & not have to deal with driving to Chicago but still a long drive. There's a parking garage right across so convenience & plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Feels like a very safe part of Elgin even late at night.

Always amazing & the owner is a sweetheart. Drinks are always fun and delicious. The bartenders are lovely. Love the art & decor. So beautiful!

Great atmosphere, wonderful bar tenders, and kind people there! The Martinis were well crafted and very tasty. They had a good balance of alcohol and other flavors. If you want a BOLD flavor, there are multiple options! Subtle flavor is also present on the menu.

Staff- friendly Food- bring your own Appearance - shabby chic Service - lacked coordination Drinks - meh Bottom line up front. My first impression is that the Martini Room focuses on too many things (eclectic presentation, homey seating, entertainment) and not enough on quality, classic bartending. This bar quickly filled up on a Wednesday night (we were early, but a show was in the making after dinner) and appeared popular for groups of female friends gathering for drinks and carry-in food (allowed) around the dinner hour. The establishment hosts numerous varietal shows (drag, music, etc), and there are lots of seasonal, and colorfully sugar-enhanced concoctions of martini flights. Bar seating upon entry, with some high boys flanking the opposite wall. All of this flows into tracts of sectional, low profile seating with coffee table style serving on two levels. All the comfy couture aside, my gin martini arrived first, a weirdly solitary delivery, and was adulterated by too much vermouth or warm olive juice; whatever the reason (hot stemware?) the drink was tepid. The flights would all follow minutes later. I just drank up anyway because I needed to dart out. The carry-in food was ready down the street. I'm not a fan of sugary drinks anyway, so skipping the signature martini flights, I had hoped that a standard gin martini could be well prepared at a namesake bar. Additionally, my martini was served in a glass with an unusual, counter-balanced stem that curves to one side, which made the drink unwieldy and more challenging to hold than the ordinary funnel-cone on a stick. Even my waiter had problems transferring it to the table. Ian Fleming's James Bond certainly would add this prohibition to his maxim: "shaken, not stirred, and not poured into curvy or zig-zaggy stemware." Toward the end of our drinks and carry-in food bazaar (everyone seems to love this "bring your own food" feature), our party of four was interrupted by a stream of showmen with suitcases, theatrical lighting sets and flying extension cords--literally over our heads-- a troupe setting up for a show that evening. I had just flown in from Philly to meet family and friends, so this was my first visit to a bar in Elgin, but I'm sure there must be a better place to relax and enjoy a well crafted, classic martini.

Fantastic! Almost didn't go in but I am so happy I did! The great mixologists behind the bar were so welcoming. Music was pretty alright, and the vibe in the crowd was great. There wasn't a single moment that I didn't enjoy myself. Can't wait to go back! The Smoking Gun martini was my favorite, but everything tried was delicious!

Ladies Night Out! Attending the drag show here at the martini room!

Came here for the first time last night for the drag show event. Tickets were priced reasonably ...$21 plus tax! The martini menu is extensive! So many to pick from. I think we each got a different one. Staff was great and very friendly! The place was clean and vibrant. Lots of colors and cool decor. They have an open bar here so no need to worry if tinis aren't your thing ;) the restrooms were cleaned and stocked! No mask was required and did not have to show vaccine card. This was a safe space as well, open for all! I will be back again! If you see they are doing the drag show event, you should definitely check it out! We had a blast. Only downfall, no food at this joint however, you can BYOF! Next time I will do that! They even have a list of local spots who deliver there.

Good service and drinks, no food. Came on a Wednesday for their martini flight special $17. Parked in the free parking lot down the street.

We ordered the Pop Over Rolls to start off our meal and they were some of the best rolls I've ever had. I really liked that they had a hint of cheese and the butter was also delightful. To eat, I ordered the Summer Corn Ravioli and it was one of my favorite pasta dishes I've probably ever had. I did get it without the mushrooms as I typically am not a fan of mushrooms but the ravioli was perfectly cooked and the flavors were simply divine. My party also ordered various meat dishes that they all raved about as well. We did order the brussel sprouts and asparagus to share - I enjoyed the asparagus but did not try the brussel sprouts given they had bacon in them. We didn't order dessert BUT did get a fantastic vanilla cake with raspberry sauce for dessert that our server brought given it was my mom's birthday dinner. The cake was SO delicious and I was very happy we got it! To top it off, our service was amazing throughout and it was an overall wonderful experience. Thank you, The Greggory team, for a great first experience! We cannot wait to be back!

Absolutely amazing, and they debone right at your table. Also had the crab pasta and had a good taste of our friends market Wagyu steak. It was like butter. Keep in mind. This is not going to be cheap though. If you're gonna go to this place, expect not only excellent service but not your McDonald's prices. Saw a couple of the next table come in and order a hamburger and fries. Seriously? You come to this place for a burger and fries? (Lol). I'm sure the burger and fries was excellent, but this place is not known to be a burger joint, even though it's on the menu but again, to each his or her own. I wouldn't come here just to have a burger. There are many other places that do that. Step it up a little. Come here for a higher tier of food caliber. That being said: Our server was excellent. The manager along with the chef / the wine "professor"- (he was excellent as well- extremely knowledgeable, and paired our bottle of wine perfectly with all our meals) along with everyone else who came by to check on us. But our server was absolutely attentive and great. He wasn't pushy and he was very easy-going but very astute and had all the attention to detail. So hopefully we made his night when we came to the tip. (we weren't slouches, nope.). I wish I remembered his name, it wasn't a typical name, but he was outstanding. That being said, make sure that you pack away a couple "bones" when you see the check- also make sure that you tip your waiter for the outstanding job that they do. So don't skimp on that either. So again: It isn't cheap, but a place like this shouldn't be. We had a great experience overall- Also, this isn't your T-shirt and shorts type of place. You have to dress up. No schleps.. Capeesh?!!? leave your sandals at home. Which it should be. This is an experience, not your local In-N-Out Burger joint. Excellent and tasteful decor- excellent service highly highly highly recommend.

The open air made it feel like we were in a vacation resort. Our server was polite and would go and check about anything we had questions about. Real top notch fella. We started with raw oysters which were good. I ordered the gnudi (gnocchi) with red sauce and beef short rib (server's recommendations). My spouse had the lab chops. We both loved our meals. The presentation and flavors were all there. I think it's a nice place to go to on occasions because it's a bit more expensive than I expected, but the flavors and meals made it worth the cost. Staff was great, space was clean and airy, food was great.
