I booked a facial for myself and the father's day massage for my husband a couple weeks in advance. I received an email requesting confirmation a day before the appointment, but I did not see it before arriving. However, I had received a phone message confirming my appointment the day before, as well, and the lady advised to call if there were any changes. The voicemail did not request that I call back to positively confirm; since there were no changes and I intended to keep the appointment, I didn't call back. Then the day of the appointment, I received a message asking if we could move up our appointment 15 minutes early and come at 4:45. I called back and advised that I would try to arrive a few minutes early, but we would likely get there closer to our original appointment time at 5:00. I was told that was fine. Upon arrival around 4:50-ish, one of the ladies at the front desk, Kim, was very rude in stating that our appointment was at 4:45 and that no one confirmed the appointment. I explained the phone call I received earlier in the day and that I advised I may not arrive at 4:45, and would get there closer to my original appointment time. Kim appeared to be visibly annoyed and seemed to wear a scowl, and even after discussion about the appointment she made no effort to make us feel welcome. Then I was even more disappointed when I realized she was going to be my husband's masseuse! My husband said his massage was the least effective of the several massages he has experienced. After our services, I did tell Kim and the other receptionist how I felt upon arrival. They apologized and said they had a new person that was being trained. My facial with Jen was fantastic, and she was very sweet and professional. I would recommend Jen's services. Unfortunately, Kim's icy reception will not bring me back into this place, especially when I can get better service and more professionalism for the money at a place like The Red Door Spa in Reston or Lansdowne Resort. read more

Awesome! We went for a couple's Valentine's Day massage and it far exceeded our expectations. This place is a hidden gem in Leesburg, tucked away in a business office building. We had Jill and April and the massages weren't only relaxing but they also worked out a few kinks and knots I had in my shoulders and wrists. It felt amazing! The heated bed was also a plus. The ambience was peaceful and calming and everyone was so friendly. We will definitely be returning. My husband and I got an hour-long couples massage (the Couples Hideaway Escape) with Audra and Jill this past weekend and we were not disappointed! We don't get massages very often (the last time was in 2014), but after a busy and stressful 2016 (involving job loss, planning a wedding, starting a new job, and some logistically complicated and very active trips) we thought it would be nice to slow down and treat ourselves. Arranging the massage was easy and done online (we had actually planned to do the massage two weeks ago, but we both got sick - so cancelling was easy too!), and someone made sure to call and confirm the reservation the day before. The location is on the second floor of an office building, but when you enter you are transported to a calm and relaxing environment. We arrived a bit early to fill out forms, but we were received by our massage therapists right on time. The couples massage room we used was large and comfortable, and there were even little chocolates placed on top of the massage tables :) Jill and Audra were very professional and went over our forms with us to discuss how much pressure we wanted and if we had any particular spots we wanted them to focus on. However, it seemed that they knew what places to focus on without us telling them! Although they did full body massages, Audra also focused on my husband's shoulders and neck (where he tends to hold most of his stress), and Jill worked my lower back and legs. She even did the arches of my feet (which I forgot to mention that I wanted) and thoughtfully used a warm towel to rub my admittedly dry and cracked heels. They used warm towels and aromatherapy throughout the massage, and I think Jill used a menthol oil on the upper part of my chest and neck - which helped open up my sinuses. Both Jill and Audra eased us out of our relaxing stupor with a thank you, and we gradually made our way to the front desk. Payment was easy and we both left floating. Last Friday, I had an appointment with Jill H., after receiving a Gift Card for my birthday. I LOVE massages and was very excited to give this place a try, after reading the reviews on Yelp. Let's just say the reviews are very true and now I find myself writing one. First off this place is tucked away in an office building, but it is anything but ordinary/basic. It is very clean and well decorated - I felt like I was on vacation because it was "that nicely decorated", with soft relaxing sounds of the ocean playing in the background and other calming sounds. Jill greeted me at the reception desk, very sweet and really attentive to my needs when trying to figure out where my stress points were located on my body, prior to the massage. During the massage, needless to say she "knows her stuff" with really working out the aches/stress areas! I left after 60 minutes feeling completely calm, less stressed and a weight off my shoulders. The Hideaway Escape massage in one word was "awesome" and a great introduction to this place and I still feel amazing 3 days later. I signed up for a 90 minute Swedish massage with Wendy and was not disappointed. The atmosphere was so relaxing with a heated bed, small fireplace burning, low lighting and tranquil music. Wendy paid special attention to my neck and shoulders and I actually fell asleep during her foot massage. This was the best massage I have had to date. The staff was friendly and I was relaxed after the service but I was disappointed that I didn't receive the full service as described and it seemed overpriced for what it was. I had the reflexology treatment that in the description on their website includes hands and feet but my technician only did my feet. It would have been more satisfying if she had done my hands as well. For this price or less, I could have had a manicure and pedicure elsewhere which includes hand and foot massage, smooth, moisturized skin, and pretty nails to boot. New location isn't as charming as the old one, but the rooms are still nicely appointed. You get what you pay for here! They can help you relax and also can help work very sore and tight areas. I'm giving Hideaway 5 stars because I honestly cannot think of a way for them to improve. I called Friday morning and was able to be seen just three hours later for a prenatal massage. When I booked the appointment it was for 60 minutes but when I asked if they could extend it, they were able to push it to 75 minutes. Everyone was very friendly, relaxed and kind. Jill did a fantastic job not only with the massage but with the right amount of chit-chat as well. The entire visit was simply splendid and if I had more time before the baby was due, I'd be back again soon. As it is, it will probably be months before I can get away again but I'm already looking forward to it. Reasonable prices, excellent ambience, great massage work. I'm a big fan! read more

I have been going to Hideaway Massage for years now, even when they first opened in their truly hidden location in downtown Leesburg. Alison, the owner and masseuse, moved her spa to it's present location on Catoctin Circle several years ago and has created a very, very special spa. Yes it is in a business building, but that is actually a big bonus. It is absolutely quiet, no random noise from hairdressers, nail techs, traffic etc. She designed everything to be the most perfect relaxing atmosphere you can have. The music, the wall colors, the soft lighting, the heated table pad, down to the Dove chocolate square on your pillow. All the massage therapists are experienced, so pick anyone that fits your schedule. Try it you'll like it! read more

Hideaway Massage was, well, a hideaway and a bit difficult to find but well worth it! My husband and I went last winter and will schedule again for our annual dual massage date this winter. We had two lovely women massage therapists in a room with the coolest fake fireplace, electric and mesmerizing. I am horribly ticklish and my massage therapist was appalled that I giggled almost throughout the massage although it is typical for me. She tried very hard not to tickle me and asked quiet feedback questions to make sure I was comfortable. I told her I lift weights a lot and she even did some Thai massage which involves stretching which was heavenly. It was very relaxing, professional and the atmosphere warm and inviting. We went to dinner at The Wine Bar in Leesburg after which serves Tapas style dinners and has a great wine selection. Top notch customer service and best massage I've ever had. I called first thing in the morning after a failed attempt to book online the night before and Allison was extremely accommodating and personally squeezed me in later that afternoon. When I first called, she said she would get right on confirming her other appointments for the day in hopes of being able to squeeze me in. Despite having no cancellations, she called me back within 15 minutes and managed to fit me in. I got the Lavender Massage which was very relaxing and relieved two years worth of stress in one hour. The whole atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxing and the heated beds were an added bonus. They have so many different massages and add-ons to choose from that I can't wait to come back and try out other packages, although I would definitely get another lavender massage. I came in recently for an airbrush tan. It was my first time and I am very fair. I opted for the "light" spray and had Stephanie (owner's daughter). Stephanie was very nice, and friendly, the place is very clean and nicely decorated. Unfortunately, Stephanie didn't offer me any lotion for my hands or feet, which I understand is normal practice for this kind of thing. Nor was I offered any kind of foot protection for the bottoms of my feet and I was left to my own devices in the room when changing out of my clothes to figure out that the pile of bikini tops and bottoms in a basket by the chair were free to borrow. Nor was I offered a disposable thong to wear so I wore my own. Stephanie was helpful in advising me what positions to hold my arms, legs, etc. but the bottom of the floor of the tanning area was sticky. Also, the lighting was quite dim in the room I was in, so I wasn't sure how much she was able to see in covering me with the spray... which was obvious after I got home that evening. My airbrush tan was uneven on my arms, my left buttcheek was completely missed (not sure how that happened) I asked her about a drip down my leg and wasn't advised to wipe it off and Stephanie told me it was "normal and would wash off in the shower" it didn't so I have this drip line down my leg. I've been scrubbing like the dickens to get this stuff off of me because my hands and feet just look "dirty" because apparently I was supposed to be offered lotion, and I'm reading up on how to remove this stuff off of me as quickly as possible because it also has a somewhat "orange" undertone. I'm quite disappointed with this service and am considering calling for a refund. It certainly wasn't worth the $40.00 I paid considering the errors that were made and the lack of information/help I was given after letting her know I'd never done this before. After speaking to several people who are experienced...I now understand I should've been offered lotion, a disposable thong, given something to put on my feet to protect the soles from turning black from the floor. Needless to say I won't be coming back for this service. read more
