The atmosphere is a good mix of upscale and laid back with plenty of seating even though it's a small place. I was excited to see a big screen TV showing a NFL game. We were greeted by a sweet person that was very friendly and helpful. They do have table service but we ordered at the bar. We ordered exactly what we came for: The Ultimate Glizzy. It's a perfectly grilled, extra-long hot dog piled high with bacon pieces, red onion, pickled jalapeños, chili, and nacho cheese, all on a fresh, soft bun and finished with Hot Cheeto crumbs. We absolutely loved it! I was honestly surprised by the mix of unique flavors--the tang of the pickled jalapeños combined with the crunch of the Hot Cheetos, followed by that burst of juicy hot dog. YUM! Seriously, who doesn't love a hot dog with Hot Cheetos sprinkled on top?!It's served with a bag of classic Lays, which is perfect for scooping up all the extra nacho cheese that falls off.To drink, we ordered an Old Fashioned and a Michelob Ultra Zero. The Old Fashioned was great--made the classic way with ice cubes, Elijah Craig, bitters, and a real Oregon cherry. My husband loved it!

What made our experience next level was the service we had. Jared, who was attending to us, and those sitting around us, was truly amazing--best wine suggestions, and just a super friendly and cool server. Being from the industry, the service is distinctively better than most other spots in town. My wife and I saw a two-piece band setting up for their performance through the window, and decided to pop in for a glass (or two) and some live entertainment. We were warmly welcomed into this classy (seeminly family run) little space, ordered a chardonnay (I didn't catch the name), Rose of Tempranillo (which my wife liked so much, she ordered one for herself afterward), and the Gewurstraminer (which ended up being my favorite). All the while, we were engaged and entertained by the two members of the band, who were amused by our toddler's sons utter fascination with them and their music. Big thanks to both of them, and the owners of Pinot Vista, for allowing and taking pleasure in our son's wanderings and exploration! He was enraptured! Such a relaxing environment, couple with some wonderful wine, beautiful music, and spending time with family without any responsibilities or expectations, is the perfect way to spend a Saturday evening, and I can't imagine many better places in McMinnville than here at Pinot Vista! We will definitely be back, the next time we find ourselves in town.

There's also a little wine bar (about 6 seats) that Jack sits behind pouring drinks. He has a chalkboard with the day's menu...which was 5 red choices and 5 white choices. He literally gave us a 30 minute rundown of every single glass with who the wine makers where, where they vacationed, how they picked their childrens' names...well, okay, maybe not that much detail, but nearly! The wines aren't cheap (I think it was $12 - $28 for one glass!)...but boy were they delicious. He said they also do a dinner there on the weekends, and get live jazz too..but apparently you're not allowed to talk during jazz or they take your picture and put it up as a bad person. Ha! And that's only a portion of what's available. My flight was excellent, so much so, that I bought a couple of bottles.
