My wife and I saw a two-piece band setting up for their performance through the window, and decided to pop in for a glass (or two) and some live entertainment. We were warmly welcomed into this classy (seeminly family run) little space, ordered a chardonnay (I didn't catch the name), Rose of Tempranillo (which my wife liked so much, she ordered one for herself afterward), and the Gewurstraminer (which ended up being my favorite). All the while, we were engaged and entertained by the two members of the band, who were amused by our toddler's sons utter fascination with them and their music. Big thanks to both of them, and the owners of Pinot Vista, for allowing and taking pleasure in our son's wanderings and exploration! He was enraptured! Such a relaxing environment, couple with some wonderful wine, beautiful music, and spending time with family without any responsibilities or expectations, is the perfect way to spend a Saturday evening, and I can't imagine many better places in McMinnville than here at Pinot Vista! We will definitely be back, the next time we find ourselves in town.

There's also a little wine bar (about 6 seats) that Jack sits behind pouring drinks. He has a chalkboard with the day's menu...which was 5 red choices and 5 white choices. He literally gave us a 30 minute rundown of every single glass with who the wine makers where, where they vacationed, how they picked their childrens' names...well, okay, maybe not that much detail, but nearly! The wines aren't cheap (I think it was $12 - $28 for one glass!)...but boy were they delicious. He said they also do a dinner there on the weekends, and get live jazz too..but apparently you're not allowed to talk during jazz or they take your picture and put it up as a bad person. Ha! And that's only a portion of what's available. My flight was excellent, so much so, that I bought a couple of bottles. I had a great server, Candace, and had the opportunity to talk to her husband, Jeff, who was sitting next to me. A very friendly place. I opted for inside seating because it was hot that day, and I was already roasting from eating atop the McMenamin's rooftop bar. This place was way more my speed. A five-star experience.
