The fish in the tacos were generous but there were only two heavily battered shrimps in the shrimp tacos. Shredded cabbage and the cream sauce were very fresh. The grilled jalapeno served on the side was delicious. It was salted which brought out the chile's grilled flavor. I also ordered a chile relleno burrito with added carnitas. The chile relleno tasted good and was served with beans and rice. Carnitas were moist and juicy but there could have been a little more added to balance out the rest of the ingredients. I had to search for the carnitas in my burrito. Service was good and the restaurant dining area was kept clean.

Before leaving, we wanted refills. I was already aware that refills are charged, and I have no issue paying for a refill when that is the restaurant's policy. What caught me off guard, however, was being charged $3.00 for the refill of the small drink as well. I asked the cashier if I was being charged the correct amount since the original drink was a small, and I was told that they only have one refill option, which is $3.00, regardless of the size of the original drink. While $3.00 may not seem like a significant amount, it's really about the principle and transparency. If a customer purchases a smaller drink, it seems reasonable that the refill price would reflect the size of the drink, or at minimum that this policy would be clearly communicated beforehand. This is especially worth mentioning because the restaurant already charges additional fees for using debit/credit card services, so these extra charges can start to add up quickly. Again, the food is good, and I'm not against paying reasonable prices for quality food and drinks. I simply feel this particular policy should be re-evaluated or made more transparent to customers. Small details like this can make a big difference in the overall customer experience. Hopefully, management will take this feedback into consideration.

The taste was unpleasant, and after the very first bite I knew I couldn't continue eating it. The pozole was just as disappointing. I would recommend asking for a sample before purchasing these items, if possible. I also hope the restaurant regularly tastes and evaluates these dishes before serving them to customers. In my opinion, these two menu items were not worth the money and need significant improvement before I would consider ordering them again.
