Great service and reasonably priced! Back in June I had a nose piercing done at Holy Smokes but the piercing kept getting infected. Little did I know, opting for a hoop for a first time nose piercing is likely to cause infection due to the hoop wiggling around more so than a stud. Being that I was unaware of this, I continued washing my piercing 4 to 6 times a day as stated on the back of the saline spray wash. After weeks of continuous reinfection, I went into Holy Smokes to have my nose piercing assessed. I was told my nose piercing is fine and to keep using the saline spray wash regardless of the redness and puss developing every other day. Pretty sure that is NOT okay OR part of the healing process. After dealing with that for several weeks, I was fed up and took the piercing out to let it heal back up. And eventually sought out another piercing shop. That's when I popped into High Hope and explained my situation. Due to the poor experience I had at Holy Smokes, the owner of High Hope offered to charge me less for another repiercing :) This time it's a stud and is healing just fine. The anti bacterial wash is much more effective at keeping the piercing area cleaned as opposed to the saline spray I had been advised to use at Holy Smokes. Needless to say, High Hope definitely was satisfactory and I would recommend it to anyone who is seeking a professional body piercer who knows what they are doing! read more

Had my ears pierced today at High Hope I was not looking forward to it, but was more than pleasantly surprised by every aspect of the experience. The entire staff was friendly and helpful and I cannot say enough about Greg, the owner and piercing technician. Extraordinarily competent, professional, health and safety conscious and took great care to ensure I knew everything he was doing and that I could see the placement in advance. He turned down the music without even being asked and was great fun to talk with during the procedure, which was virtually painless. He insists I go back in two weeks to sanitize and install my own jewelry and really walked my husband and me through the cleaning process for the next couple of weeks. I bought new nipple rings and had them put in. The place was exceptionally clean and the owner was very friendly and extremely reasonable with pricing. From past experiences with nipple rings, they tend to be expensive so I was a little hesitant to purchase a set of two for only $35, fearing they would be cheap quality and irritate my nipples due to my sensitive skin. They happen to be the same material as the more expensive ones and I've now had them in for over a month without any problems. It's evident that many piercers simply jack up the prices of their jewelry. More money doesn't necessarily mean better quality. I will certainly be going back here for more jewelry! read more

I went to Greg today for a nipple piercing, I actually was getting them re pierced after a year or so of having them out. He was super chill and very professional, made sure they came out perfect and that I was 100% happy with how they looked - and I love them! Piercing through scar tissue I thought it might be so much worse than the first time but it was honestly the same if not less painful, and they look better than before! Overall a great experience! Plus there's so much else to look at and buy, I've gotten my boyfriend a few birthday gifts from there that he's super happy about. It's a great place with a great vibe! read more

I got a conch/orbital piercing done by Greg last week. Greg took the time to discuss what I wanted and made sure the placement was perfect before the actual piercing. The actual piercing process was quick with very minimal pain. He goes over all of the aftercare with you to make sure you have the best experience possible. I've had no swelling or redness and my piercing looks great. I work down the street from the shop and when Greg comes in he even checks to see how it's healing :) The shop is professional and clean. I'm new to the area and checking out a couple of options for glass. There are two on the Broadway and I was so glad that I saw High Hope. The other shop was awful. Greg is the man and he runs a tight ship. He has a great knowledge of all the products and has a great selection! He is very reasonable about prices and is friendly and an interesting guy to get to know. On top of all that he has a wide selection of the jump pods and unlike many of he other people around he won't jack up the prices just for some easy money. My teenage daughters have been begging to have their nose pierced. I must say that I am so impressed by Greg's professionalism and attention to detail. This is a really cool smoke shop. The environment is really chill and it's worth visiting just to look at all the cool stuff. There are lights, artworks, and really interesting pieces. The best part about the place is the owner, who is always friendly and happy to answer any possible questions. I go there all the time and he is always in a good mood. Our piercer was lovely. He pierced my ear while on vacation and still made it a point that I could reach out to him even miles away. He provided me after care, showed me how to use it, and was really detailed the whole time. He was so detailed made sure I liked it as well as looked even (because both my ears are different) and was overall just amazing. I was so impressed with the professionalism of this shop. I took my daughter to get her ears pierced. This was a second hole and the first was done sub par--not equally spaced in her ears. Greg walked us through every step and told us what could go wrong and provided us with solution to clean as well as a card in phone number in case we encountered any problems. This shop does not come off immediately as the place you should get your next piercing, but once walking in and meeting with Greg he was great! I got my naval piercing done here in the summer and I loved it!! This winter I took it out and decided to have it re-done. Greg was very helpful and answered all of my questions and talked to me throughout the entire procedure making sure I was aware of each step. Went in to get my nose pierced and I had an amazing experience. The people working there are extremely nice. Social distancing between customers, wore gloves and masks. Kept all the materials sterilized. Great price for the service! Gave a generous bottle of cleaning solution! And gave great instructions on how to take care of the piercing after. Greg at High Hope just did my septum for me on Sunday. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had! He was very relaxing and picked out the best sized piercing for me.
