I could see if you have season passes. It would be worth coming here if you live in the area, but somebody like me wanting to enjoy nostalgic theme park trip to the place I grew up going to and my tickets were $50 a piece. Honestly, it makes me never want to bring my future kids here that pricing is just extremely disappointing and price gouging everybody. It's a tiny amusement park. It's not six flags... they have all of the same rides as they did when I grew up there. Nothing has been updated in at least 10 years other than the pricing The apparel they sell in shops are no less than $40 for stuff that obviously doesn't fit right. I washed my sweater once, and the sleeves are almost 8 inches smaller than they were when I bought them The food prices here are outrageous. And honestly, there's not many rides to choose from for the admission price if you really wanna look at it on a higher end scale. I understand that this is our small town amusement park, but the fees they charge, you might as well go to Six Flags or Darien Lake at that point. I live in Florida now and this was so expensive. I couldn't even believe it. These are not prices to charge for a tiny amusement park especially if you aren't adding new rides- realistically these are the same amount of admission to get into Disney than it is to get into here, and to me, I think that absolutely blows my mind. It's $20 cheaper to get into here than to Disney. I am 25 now -when I was 19 it was 17.00 a ticket whole day. It is now 50$ for adult admission I'm glad I got to stop by and see all of the nostalgia. Sincerely, nothing has changed in this amusement park since I was a kid, which is pretty cool, but the prices don't add up, especially because nothing has been updated I would really only recommend older adults coming here for nostalgia type thing, but if you want to take your kids here, you should spend your money elsewhere and get more/safer rides for the same price and a better value

Customer focused: Joe and Dianne were very accommodating to work around all of our schedules for our particular needs. They invested a lot of time with the kids, were patient, gave them great learning tasks and were very positive. Both kids loved them. Joe is an excellent instructor. Flexible: When I found out that I didn't have quite the same certification as I thought, they accommodated us with a very tight schedule graciously so I could get everything in and dive with the rest of the family on the trip. Expertise: As others have reviewed, the merchandise may be more expensive than online, but if you spend an hour with someone knowledgeable getting the right gear, should that expertise be free and the items sold at cost? If you want cheap and to figure it out yourself, go to Amazon. If you want someone who is knowledgeable and will help you find just the right thing and make sure you are prepared, support this local business. I wish I had known about it sooner!

I first contacted Heather in January 2026 by leaving a phone message and completing the online contact form, which included my name, address, phone number, and email address. I had planned to use the $200 gift certificate from Heberle Stables for my grandson's birthday in January, but I was unable to make arrangements because I never received a response. I followed up again in April and June, leaving additional phone messages. In July, I left one final message explaining that if riding lessons could not be arranged, I would appreciate a refund for the value of the gift certificate. The Heberle Stables website states that gift certificates never expire. I also asked for confirmation that Heberle Stables is still in business. Unfortunately, I have received no response to any of my messages or inquiries since January. I understand that businesses can become busy or circumstances can change, but completely failing to respond to a customer over a period of several months--especially regarding a $200 gift certificate--is extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I would simply like a response and a resolution regarding the unused gift certificate.

I've been wanting to go on a sleigh ride for years, ever since the first time I saw a horse-drawn sleigh in Ellison while xc skiing there. But our fluky winters have made it hard to plan for a weekend with enough snow for the sleigh; when there's not enough snow, you can take a carriage ride, which is just like a sleigh but with wheels. But we really wanted to experience the sleigh. So, over this past weekend, my hubby and I, and another couple friends, finally did it, and it was everything we had hoped for - tons of snow on the ground which made the sleigh ride possible, gently falling flakes which made the experience magical, and the kindness and friendliness of the family that owns the stables, taking care of everything including a bonfire for warming up before and after, and a cocoa station. Heberle (pronounced 'heh-ber-lee') stables are a family run operation. They have numerous horses, an indoor riding ring for winter riding, and sleighs and carriages for Ellison park trips. The family has been working on this piece of land bordering Ellison Park (right at the corner of Browncroft and Landing Roads) for over 100 years. They love what they do and you can tell because every generation is involved and they all seemed genuinely enthusiastic to share their horses and history with us. On the day of our ride, we showed up a few minutes early and parked. Got out and went to the bonfire and started chatting with the patriarch (Bill?) and owner, who was friendly, funny, and full of great historic information about the stables, which allowed our waiting time to pass really quickly. When our sleigh arrived, the seats were brushed clear of snow and we were seated with us facing our friends (so no one has to face the backs of the other's heads), and then Bill put some heavy blankets on us (it was 17F and we had also brought our own blankets but their's were fine.) Our coachman, Jake, one of Bill's sons, was elegantly attired and gave us instructions, explained about the horse pulling our sleigh (named Buddy), and was generally friendly and conversational answering all our questions. The ride went so fast - they are only 30 min - and then we were deposited back by the bonfire where we had been picked up. In all we were there over an hour, between the ride and the conversation, and we all agreed this is the kind of thing we'd love to do every winter! I can highly recommend this place and experience, and I encourage you to check their web page and sign up online. They have 2 horses/2 sleighs and they each do 7 trips per day, so there are lots of options. My only advice would be to watch the weather and if you can get lucky with a snowy day, that's the best!

This was our fourth trip with Erie Canal Adventures, and the longest yet - we were on the boat for…read more11 days. The canal boats are easy and fun to drive, exceptionally well maintained, nicely equipped (the knives are awful, but aren't they always?), comfortable, and supported by a great team of exceptionally helpful staff. The Erie Canal and upstate New York are amazing. The summer climate is outstanding, mosquitoes are few, the cities and towns along the canal are so much fun to explore, and fellow boaters are friendly and helpful. We only used our A/C two nights out of eleven, and slept out "in the wild" two nights. This year we went west for the first time, after traveling eastbound the last 3 adventures. East and West provide very different experiences. West is far more urban and upscale, east is generally more rural, natural (passing through the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge), and definitely quieter both on and off the canal. A couple of tips...before you choose to tie up for the night, check the distance to the train tracks on the map, and listen for a while before finalizing your decision. The train noise can be thunderous depending on proximity of the tracks, and it varies greatly by location. Go slow, but...at low speed, these boats are almost indestructible. Don't worry, you will be well trained in both the theory and practice of navigation before your trainer turns you loose on the canal, and yes, you will handle it just fine. Bring your own knife, but pretty much everything else will be supplied that you need. We eat in most nights, but you can eat out everywhere to the west, and in most towns to the east if you prefer. Read a book about the history of the canal before you go if you're into that sort of thing (or bring it along to read along the way). It's almost impossible to overestimate the importance of the Erie Canal in creating the country we live in today. Tech support is top notch. We discovered we were missing a screen the first night out...and called in to base to ask for a replacement. They had one fabricated on the first weekday we were out, and delivered it to one of the lift-bridge masters we were heading toward. The bridge master brought it down to us after we passed under the lift bridge. Finally, the moment where you get to pilot your boat over a bridge, and look down on the highway passing underneath your boat is super-cool. I've rented houseboats in Voyageurs National Park and Lake of the Woods in Minnesota/Ontario, Lake Roosevelt in Washington, half a dozen times on the Mississippi River between the Twin Cities and south of Dubuque, and owned a small houseboat on the Mississippi. These canal boats are cooler, as is the Canal. I'd recommend this trip over any of those for the boating experience (unless you're really into fishing...that's a different trip).

It had all the comforts of a small floating hotel room. A Full kitchen , comfortable beds, air conditioning , sheets, linens, towels, pots and pans, silverware and to top it all off, a bicycle for each of us. Erie Canal Adventures has thought of everything. Their three hour training was thorough and easy to understand, and included practice time on the canal and negotiating lock 30 twice. All their employees are patient and helpful as were all the other boaters we encountered. On several occasions we experienced a little difficulty with the docking process and each time other boaters were there to assist. There are many towns along the canal, most of which offer dock space and electrical and water hookups, sometimes for a small fee, but often for free. The boats motor along at a stately 6 mph, which might seem slow in 2025, but it's precisely the right pace on the canal. Even on the hottest days 6 mph was fast enough that there was always a cooling breeze. I can't recommended this vacation highly enough. I'd like to say that it was the vacation of a lifetime, but I strongly suspect I'll be back next year.

It was a combination kayak and bicycle excursion along the scenic Erie Canal between Brockport and Holley, New York. The guided excursion we traveled 2 miles by kayak and 10 miles by bicycle. All the equipment was provided and it was all brand new, state of the art. Our kayaking started at the Welcome Center in Brockport where they installed the new adaptive launch pad. We had a tour guide travel along with us in his own kayak to show how to navigate the kayak. After that we hopped on a bike traveling to Sans Souci Park and the Holley Canal Park spillway and back to the Welcome Center. At the end of our ride we were given a $10 food voucher to 3 local restaurants. It was a beautiful experience and it was all free of charge thanks to our governor and the New York State's Reimagine the Canals initiative, the New York Power Authority and the New York State Canal Corporation. They are offering free excursions at canalside hubs to promote recreation, local business, and new camping destinations.
