My company always orders High Nooner for lunch trainings. What a great surprise for my first day with the credit union.! I ordered the Club Nooner, not realizing it was massive with three slices of freshly baked French bread. I should have only ordered the half sandwich. It's definitely enough for two meals. It was well sauced which is what I love. A good quality of turkey and bacon. Because the bread is so soft, the sandwich does tend to fall apart, but it's a delicious mess. Well years ago my company ordered from here And it was delicious, today . I was expecting better but instead got a nasty sandwich with lunch meat! Before it was real turkey and for $16.50 for a sandwich I could've got one at 7-11 for half the price and for sure it would've been better! I was embarrassed that my lifelong friend took me there for a lunch birthday and she'd never had it. We ordered the sundowner and it was a downer for sure the mayo made the bread soggy and the lunch meat was slimy and it was horrible before of swear it was real turkey and for this price it should've been. The food at this establishment was phenomenal!!! I ordered "The Cowboy", coleslaw and a fountain drink. My friend and I shared a cream cheese brownie. The sandwich was delicious! The tomato was cut in a way that made it so it didn't slip off the bread, a problem I commonly find. I complemented the ranch dressing that was included with mayo to create a creamy sauce. The coleslaw was top of the line, and there was enough served that I wasn't wishing for more after it was gone. The meal came with a complimentary cookie, chocolate chip. The fountain drink was served in a 24oz cup that didn't have a lid, which made it difficult bringing my refill home. The meal was brought in a paper bag allowing me to bring the leftovers home. I spent $113 and this was the absolute rudest and worst experience during my trip to Spokane Washington. In 29 years, I have never been yelled at by restaurant staff then projected onto like Abby and the bald guy in the back of my picture. My client really wanted to eat here so we ordered over the phone 2 hours earlier. When it was time to pay, my client handed me the phone. I explained to Abigale that this would be a company expense so I needed the itemized receipt before I flew out. I asked for this because, generally, when I call and ask for it later, restaurant systems can't pull the receipt back up or forget. She said she would send it, cursed at me because my email was long. 2 hours later, no receipt. I stopped back by my clients office for the receipt. He only had the one I tipped her using but gave me the store number to call. I was around the corner so I called to let her know I would be stopping by to pick it up if that was easier. She proceeded to cut me off and yell at me that she was busy making sandwiches. I tried to explain I could stop by and wait but she hung up in my face. When I arrived, the young lady at the front took my name and told her I was here. From the kitchen, Abby yelled at me again in front of all her guests saying she was slammed and it would be a minute asking do I really need it now. Before I could explain that the note that she wrote down my order would work just fine, the bald guy with glasses came around putting his hands up and yelled at me after Abby did. I asked him to please calm down and there was no need to yell at me. He then walked off saying he didn't have time for this and went to making sandwiches. This was so embarrassing because I was calm, reserved, and patient already. When I saw Abby walking by, I tried to again explain that this was an uncomfortable experience, I was about to go to the airport and the note card she used to take my order should work for my expense report. She said I was the rudest person she has ever met and she would "stop what she was doing and do it now so I could get out". What a horrible way to treat a guest. Horrible nasty staff members. When I looked at the menu online, I didn't realize the sandwich came 3 stories high (a slice of bread in the middle of it). I found that pretty unnecessary, and it definitely didn't add anything special to my sandwich besides difficulty eating it. This sandwich was to come with red onions on it as well, and I couldn't find a single one--nor could I taste them, so obviously they were forgotten. However, they definitely didn't forget to add the lettuce because that was the majority of my sandwich (besides bread), and it definitely over-took the flavor. I understand the motto for this place is "gourmet sandwiches," but I've definitely had a better sandwich from home. Honestly, nothing about my sandwich made it "gourmet." It was just a regular sandwich with an extra slice of bread between it that lacked flavor. My recommendation? Save yourself 10 bucks and make a sandwich at home. I've been meaning to hit High Nooner forever and finally went today, and it was delicious! Great and friendly service and a slammin sandwich. I got the Prime Nooner with au jus for dipping and I finished it before I even thought of taking a picture, but it looked great and tasted even better.
