Got lucky and grabbed two pans of monkey bread and a tub of cream cheese frosting that they make fresh. Additionally, I got a blueberry/raspberry cobbler bar and the brown butter caramel crunch cookies from the new spring menu. Aaaand the cookies are a new fav. Above average bakery with delicious sweet pastries and various breads. Bread menu rotates day to day so pick one up if you have a specific craving. Plenty of parking in the shopping center lot, and I rarely see a line in the afternoons. Employees are all very nice. read more

This place was a solid 4.5 stars. Great sandwiches but not the best I've had based on how much protein was in the sandwich. Taste was yummy. It comes with a pickled. Prices for the sandwich was about $12. We wanted soup but right when we got there, they ran out. Service was very friendly and she helped answer our questions. Well I've been wanting to try this place for awhile because I drive by it while working. Finally did today. It's cool to find a place where you can get sunflower seeds added to a sandwich. Kinda bummed though because the menu says the sandwich comes with a pickle spear & I didn't get one. Also grabbed a bag of chips and even though the date says feb 2021, they still tasted stale. In addition to the chips I asked for a cookie as well because with a sandwich it's an extra $2.50 for two extras combined with a sandwich, well she forgot to give me my cookie too. They hand-make their breads every day and they are available to pick up fresh starting around 10:30 am. I have seen a lot of people come in looking for fresh bread, but it's just not available until later in the day since it's made from scratch that morning. They offer pre-made mixes for granola, cookies, breads, and more! Everything on the menu is affordable and service is fast from a friendly staff. I a so glad this Great harvest has weathered the storms of the last 10 yrs economically and is in a resurgence. The quality of breads, pastries, coffee etc. is well worth the stop. This place was legit. Absolutely amazing. First of all, there is an awesome play area for kids which is an amazing way to keep them occupied while waiting for food. Second, the samples were all legit. The sourdough rivaled my daughter's favorite San Luis Sourdough from Cali and she loved the free Asiago Sourdough sample so much that she tried to get away with eating three slices with butter for lunch but I persuaded her to eat the grilled cheese on sourdough and she ate the entire sandwich, her pickle, and half my pickle. I ordered the spicy apple bacon grilled cheese and I ate the entire sandwich in less than five minutes (sans bacon). IT WAS THAT good. Props to the woman at the register who was honest with me about the coffee too. It was around 3pm when we were eating there and she warned me against the coffee letting me know it was drip coffee and it'd been out for a while. I really appreciated her honesty and customer service. She also offered my daughter another pickle when she noticed how much she liked them BUT I had to cut her off. read more

I have always enjoyed this location. I find their employees always pleasant with awesome customer service! I love that they give samples and are quite generous (maybe even too generous)! They have real good bread; can't deny that. Try have special bread flavors that rotate daily. One of my favorites is cinnamon apple chip. Stopped here the other to get lunch. I got a bacon chicken apple panini and it was so good! It also comes with a slice of pickle, but I'm not pickle person so I can't speak on that regard. They have other baked goods, but they do run out so don't always bank on getting what you want at the end of the day. Oooh you can get cookie dough on their fridge! One of my best memories of this place is a few years ago, I was tight on my budget and came in wanting half a loaf of something. The staff is amazing! They have an order-form style for ordering a sandwich, but if you get that close to the counter someone will almost certainly offer you a sample of their bread. Accept the offer. They have butter, honey, and jam that you can add to your sample if you choose, it's awesome. Keep in mind that this is a bread place. Yes, they make sandwiches and other baked goods but their bread and butter is exactly half of this terrible pun: bread. Don't get me wrong, their sandwiches are fantastic. I have had them before and I will have them again. But the only meat they have is turkey, so if you're a diehard ham or roast beef person, tough luck. They also have a reward type program where if you build points as you buy things and can cash them in for free items. The exact details of it escape me, but it's still cool that an operation this small even thinks to provide that. We buy all of our bread from Great Harvest. I used to bake all our bread but this thing called aging changes things. We have found a new passion: BREAD PUDDING. The only complaint I have with GHB is that they're inconsistent. I just ordered 12 of the bread puddings and they are dry and have almost no icing. They're not inexpensive so I think the "attention to detail" needs to be better. They run out of bread pudding most days (they don't make lots) so obviously people like them. But at $2.95 each you should expect more than bread and cinnamon. We also really like their Asiago sourdough bread but often one edge of each loaf tastes burned because of the cheese. Maybe they should spray down the loaves to keep the cheese from burning while allowing the dough to bake. As I said we buy all our breads and other goodies ( yummy) but they would be better if they were more consistent. read more

I came in quite "late in the game." Most of their bread had sold out although I got my hand on a honey wheat loaf for 5.50 a bit more than common crumbs bakery. They sell more than loaves of bread though, nuts, honey, muffins, sandwiches, & coffee. One cool feature was their weekly bread list. Every day they bake 3 to 4 different kinds of bread and it changes the following day. The staff was kind The place is huge I've never seen a bakery like it. I think if it was earlier in the day I'm sure you could see the bakers baking away and forming dough in the kitchen. On the afternoon of June 3rd my wife and I went to the Great Harvest Bread Company in Spokane WA. We entered the store and looked around. I made several selections and headed to the register. My wife is disabled with bad knees and a bad back. She is only able to take short walks with a cane. She needed to sit down so she grabbed a chair off a table. The cashier, a young woman wearing a faded orange t-shirt with blond hair flipped out that my wife had taken a chair off a table. My wife stated she is disabled and had to sit down immediately or she would have fallen. The cashier continued making rude comments which outraged me so we did purchase the bread I had selected but left the store. As we were leaving the cashier continued with rude and ignorant remarks. We will never do business again with a company that treats disabled customers so badly. read more

Sooo disappointing. We come from Anchorage, AK where the Great Harvest is amazing. We were so excited to come to the one here in Spokane and get a sandwich. The first two ladies who helped us were really sweet. But when our sandwiches came out the lady bringing them to us literally threw them on our table which made us think she was mad at us or something. You could also tell that she just quickly threw the sandwiches together ( we were the only sandwich order so it's not like she was in a rush) Then when we were leaving, there was a gentleman ready to check out and she was ducked down behind the counter texting. My boyfriend used to work here and finally agreed to go back to check out the remodel. ill admit i had high expectations. though from the moment i walked in the door, i was disappointed over and over. my eyes first found the cinnamon rolls because theyre what i had come for. i asked if they had frosting for them and the girl at the counter replied with a yes without hesitation. i also ordered a drip coffee. i went to get my coffee. no coffee cups or water cups. we are the only people here besides a man sitting at a table with nothing in front of him. i walk back up to the counter where my cinnamon roll has sat for a minute and ask for a cup. i wait. she asks a woman cutting dough 5 ft from me if they have frosting and she replied "we dont do that anymore and im not going to make a whole batch for her". i heard every word very obviously. the girl at the counter carried her attitude back to me and then just scooted my cold roll towards me. that was the end of that. the lone man at the table asks for wifi and gets a cold no. the two stars are for the cinnamon roll and the cheese danish. they were delicious despite not having frosting. everyone in this place is rude and kept staring at me from behind the fridge. not a good place at any time of the day for any reason. i will never come back, unfortunately. read more

I really like this place. I buy product and my clients coffee there on a regular basis. I am a little upset at times that several people running the register won't honor me getting a military discount and others would. Today, a women said her manager stated there are no discounts for any veterans. I've dined at this location twice now, and both times have found the service at the order/pay counter to be kinda bossy and unfriendly. Though, the man in the kitchen making the sandwiches was really friendly. First, a side note to the owner - please think about the operational flow of your counter - ordering, then paying, then waiting - its confusing as heck and the counter staff seems chronically irritated that they have to keep explaining how things "work" to all us stupid customers. Could you survey a few folk / do a little focus group or something and fix it? I eat out A LOT, all over the country- and ordering / paying /getting food should not be difficult or confusing. There's GOT TO BE A BETTER WAY. Okay, now that THAT's off my chest - I really like the food. Great sandwiches both times, naturally -the bread is great. I like that the ingredients in my lunch were super fresh - including a perfect avacado (thank you).
