Cheap Trick. They are a midwestern band. I don't think of Pastrami, when I hear them. Hey, can we please have more slaw on this...!?!? ;)

Montana can make a sammie, and has a history of doing it in the PNW. Raise your hand if you loved Staggering Ox, or have had a fat, Wheat MT sam heading West on I-90 near the Gallatin Range. These guys (originating from Missoula MT) know the biz, and have a great product. I will profess to not liking, 'groovy entree names' in any genre or menu. Theirs are legendary rock bands, and to a Boomer who lived contemporary with said bands, none of their creations seem to represent whatever band they named a sandwich after. Regardless, they....are....good. Satisfyingly good---especially if you love glorious Boar's Head Deli meat, and like having non-traditional options to add to your sam. It is a tricky place to get to, though, if you're heading West on Hwy 2. You will have to back track to get to their strip mall location...

I've been a fan of Tagliare since the original Missoula location, and now the Spokane spot lives up to the hype--both never fail. Easily 10/10 sandwiches (and you can turn any of them into a salad), and I recommend them to everyone. My go-tos are the Beach Boy, Cure, Misfits, and Mad Mox, but honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The bread and ingredients are always high quality, the deli-style portions are generous (seriously, HUGE), and there are endless options--including vegetarian choices and build-your-own. The manager and staff are always friendly and do their best to keep things running efficiently. This place is exactly what Spokane needed. Definitely my go-to spot!

So excited there is a new Tagliare's in Airway Heights! We always grab a sandwich when we're in Missoula as they are the absolute best! This weekend looks like it's the soft opening in Spokane so everyone was learning. The space is nice and located between Froyo and the Man shop. It is easy to get to and plenty of parking. We ordered the Beach Boy. Which is our go to sandwich and it arrived pretty quick. We took it home to eat as the lobby was full. The sandwich looked delicious when we opened it up, except for all the aioli all over the sandwich and paper. It was a mess and made the toppings want to squish out after each bite. It was delicious but too much spread. Next time we get the Beach Boy, we'll ask for light aioli to make it easier to eat. Other than that, super tasty.

This was my first visit and used a 20% first timer coupon that is available when you sign up for their business. It was a quick process to order and you can add notes if you want to give specific instructions. My time in the business was pretty limited as it was a quick trip to their fridge to pick up my order. As I passed through the restaurant I did notice it was clean and tidy. There are just a handful of tables which were mostly full around 11am. The Cure sandwich I had was excellent. It's not your normal sammy, these are clearly packed with fresh ingredients. Yes, it does make a noticeable difference. Nice, easy visit, with some quality food.

Sublime - burratta, prosciutto, hot sapresseto, walnut pesto, sun-dried tomatoes and garlic aioli.

Delicious freshly made sandwiches all named after bands or musicians. I look forward to returning and trying them all. I recommend toasting your favorite one. Limited seating options but take out was great.

Megadeth and Blue Oyster Cult quarters

Tagliare is located in a strip mall past The Rusty Moose. There are only three tables seating four apiece so take out was the order of the day. There isn't a paper menu so you must look up at the sandwich selections on a large board running over the counter area. All the sandwiches are named for popular bands. I ordered the Blue Oyster Cult (roast beef) and a Megadeth (spicy Italian cold cuts). The counter staff were very helpful with menu selections and advice. I waited for my order on one of two very large black benches on either side of the entrance. I took the sandwiches home and cut them into quarters. They are quite large and half would make a meal. Both the roast beef and cold cut sandwiches were fresh and delicious. The attendant seasonings and dressing were very flavorful. The Megadeth was sweet but also quite spicy (yum!). It does not cater to an eat-in customer at present but with a few more tables would be great! You can't go wrong with their generous and flavorful take-out!!
