So after reading the reviews I had high hopes this place would be at least decent. Boy was I wrong! I ordered a hot grinder and the bread was soft and squishy and not particularly tasty. There was very little meat at all and the lettuce was limp and old. I have had much better sandwiches at Subway. Not only that, at over $12 with chips and a drink it isn't exactly a deal either. I ordered the Club nooner and a pepsi and it was definitely worth the 11 i spent. The sandwich was so large i only ate half of it and the rest will be my dinner. You do have the option of ordering a half sandwich but i like having the whole. It was very clean inside and nicely decorated. The service and staff were friendly and fast. Okay, so I haven't reviewed a place in a while. You know how it goes...you forget the service and the food by the time you get home to compose your review...because, you know, Yelp wont allow you to post the damn thing with your phone. Whatever. But High Nooner is an exception. We were in Spokane for a holiday weekend get-away (don't ask) with 9 women. We had spent the entire morning shopping at the Old World Factory, and we were starving. Of course, with 9 women, we need options. And I wanted "nom nom"...so I Yelped it. Quite literally, I searched for "nom nom." And what showed up!? High Nooner. The place was empty, since it was a Monday after the lunch rush, and there was only two people staffing the place. We all ordered our sandwiches and soups. Starving. We pushed together several tables, and got ourselves all situated. In no time, 9 lunch sacks arrived at our table, with delicious sandwiches and perfectly seasoned soups. With an apology! For taking too long! Seriously it was fast service. Less than 10 minutes. Truly though, what makes this place special are the cookies. Sneaky little cookies they put in your bag...that melt in your mouth! I had originally passed on buying a giant one, until I took a bite. Perfect firm shoulders, and chewy texture. Delicious food, very friendly and helpful staff, and a pleasant, clean atmosphere. I have never been disappointed. Perhaps I would eat there more often if the prices were not so high. I love the Nooner and the little cookie they give you makes me smile. We all were very pleased with our choices and ate with little conversation. Not only were the sandwiches fantastic, the people are amazing. Probably the best lunch of our 3,200 mile roadtrip while on the way home. Having been distracted by the delicious sandwhich, our son forgot his brand new backpack in the corner of the booth which included his wallet and a lot of other cherished kid items - first aid kit, lots of chapstick, keychains without keys - things that matter to a kiddo. I called High Nooner from somewhere in southern Oregon and they confirmed that they had it. I sent UPS labels when we got home & Loretta was - ABOVE & BEYOND - so kind and returned this little backpack. Lessons learned about hanging onto things and also about human kindness. Loretta did not have to go out of her way to get this back to us but she did. To us, that speaks to who this business hires. This is always a must stop when I'm in Spokane! Their food is excellent, portions large and price reasonable and like mentioned, everyone gets a chocolate chip cookie...who doesn't love that?? You have to try the Chicken Bow Tie salad as a side with anything you get, its great! If you eat at the shop it can be a little loud at times as they holler the orders back and forth, which I think is fun but don't plan to have an intimate conversation. Its a great mix of somewhat high strung yet laid back (if that makes sense), friendly, sarcastic people so look out, you might get teased a bit but that's all part of the fun...I love it! read more

First time last time.... Where to begin... Sandwiches are all pre made and served in a brown paper bag, so the freshness is anyone's guess. however, i guess i wouldn't be to worried about spoilage, since they drown the sandwich in mayonnaise. i imagine this is to draw the attention away fro the blandness of the turkey. i had a glimmer of hope when i tried a bit of the bacon that came inside, but to my dismay, it was short lived, when i bit into a piece that was apparently still frozen. again, suspect freshness finished the sandwich, because at $12 a pop it would kill me it throw it out, and got to what i can only imagine is the consolation prize for the sad lunch just had. a chocolate chip cookie that was probably there when the store was originally constructed. Soda was flat, girl at the counter was rude and acting as if she was incredibly busy and annoyed.... at any rate, not worth the high ticket price for the quality and service. better off at McDonald or subway. at least you'll save $$$ read more

I read the other reviews and and am not sure if those reviews are just older or what but i was so far from being imppressed. i got a roast beef from the build your own menu that started at 6.50. not bad price right? except that includes bread and meat and doesnt include cheese and limited vegs.and other vegs or cheese are 65 cent xtra. Great sandwiches!!! I highly recommend this restaurant. There is lots of variety! I rarely give a 5 star... We stopped here on our way through Spokane to Montana and stopped again on the way back. Sandwiches are made fairly fast or you can call ahead. We try to avoid fast food restaurants with travel and this is a great alternative. Also, the outside does not match the inside. Visiting from Atlanta and this is my favorite place that I have eaten here in Spokane. I had the sundowner. It was delicious. So I have been going to this location for over a year. I used my free coffee punch on a double punch day. I asked if i could get the other punch on my new card and the employee was so rude! He was like "um, you didn't buy anything so NO." Then continued quite loudly while going off on me. I will not buy coffee there if he is working.
