First of all let me just say thank you to everybody at High Octane Harley who helped me. Everyone was amazing in every department but especially Greg who helped me get fitted for a bike that fits my size and weight. Not only was Greg attentive to what I was looking for but he was very patient and after trying on a few bikes we finally "found her". After that, each specialist from each department helped and explained to me what they felt was important and needed to know but most of all, they reminded me that they will always be there to help and support me whenever I need them. Also, who is Zack, really? He looks total rock band/celeb! Haha! Thanks Zack for going over everything and ensuring everything was done efficiently and I did truly feel like a VIP. VIP treatment! ... as you walk in and are NOT greeted by a random girl sitting at the front desk watching videos on her phone and doesn't even look up... bait and switch pricing: expect to pay THOUSANDS more on even used units. but if you play the typical "used car salesmen" games and spend your day in the dealership and go "back and forth to the desk", they MAY cut some dollars off... but not their fees! cuz the "prep fee" cannot be waived! "it's what they have to do to all their bikes, new and used to get them ready for sale"... but then... conveniently... when you go to pick up your bike, more than a week after papers are signed... Disclaimer - This review has nothing to do with purchasing an actual motorcycle. I already have one of those. I was on a road trip through multiple states on my bike & decided to take a quick detour to this Harley Davidson. I had visited a different Harley Davidson in a different state just a few hours prior ... & the environment there had been downright hostile. I suppose I was stopping at this one for science. To compare this one to the ... other one. I'm not in the market for a new motorcycle; I was just stopping by to take a peek at the stock (I do love the Fat Bob) & maybe pick up some merchandise. Their sweatshirts are generally such high quality. I lost my favorite White Mountain Harley Davidson hoodie a few months ago & have been grieving it ever since. Within a few minutes of rolling in, I was greeted & chatted up by at least 3 employees. Of course there was some sales tactics employed, but most of the chatting was genuinely friendly with no ulterior motive. Then once I moved into the stacks of clothing, I was left to my own devices to browse. No pestering. I ran out of water (very hot day, very thirsty me) & the staff kindly pointed me to a bubbler nearby where I could refill my water bottle. When I went to check out, I had a nice banter with the sweet women behind the counter. They threw in a small piece of extra swag for me on top of my purchase. While I was squeezing my haul into my saddlebags in the parking lot, a few different employees came up to admire my bike. Again, no ulterior motive. No "so you need a new one?" Just admiring my old heifer & chatting about carburetors. So anyways - Didn't buy a bike here but genuinely enjoyed my stop. It's worth mentioning that I spend a *lot* of time around motorcycles & motorcycle people & the vibes aren't always very welcoming or comfortable, especially for women. Went to purchase trike they had advertised, talked to Ryan on the phone giving stock numbers on multiple trikes they had listed, he said they are in stock so I drove an hour and half to purchase. Well needless to say they said we do not have the trikes . I said Ryan said they are here, they did not know what to say after all day ordeal they gave me an ok price on a new one, I purchased May 29th now sitting in my garage with no registration, they said they were overnighting to DMV they did not send it for 5 days, now it seems like it is not their problem, very frustrating I would not recommend spending any of your hard earned money with this dealer. Terrible experience at High Octane Harley-Davidson. I was contacted by a salesperson (Ryan Smathers) about a motorcycle we had already discussed and negotiated. He insisted on meeting in person. I drove 160 miles round trip (3 hours), arrived with 20% down payment, extra money for fees, and all my documents ready to buy. When I got there, I was told the bike had been sold over a month ago. This means I was intentionally misled just to get me into the dealership so they could try to sell me something else. On top of that: * The salesperson never showed up * He stopped answering calls * No accountability at all This is a clear bait-and-switch tactic. I really wanted to have a good experience here, but overall it turned into a frustrating process. The first motorcycle I went to look at, an Indian Dark Horse, was listed online as available. After driving to the dealership, I was told it was already on hold for someone else. Instead of trying to help, the focus immediately shifted to upselling me on a different, more expensive bike along with service and storage packages. About a week later, I found another Indian motorcycle on their website and called ahead to confirm availability before making the trip. I was again told the bike was available and even scheduled an appointment. When I arrived, I was once again told the bike was on hold for another customer and they tried to push me toward newer, more expensive motorcycles. After I said I was not interested and left, I received a phone call less than five minutes later saying there had been a "mistake" and the bike was actually still for sale. Convenient timing. I decided to move forward anyway and had them run the paperwork for financing. Due to time and childcare issues, I had to come back the next day. While checking the website that evening, I saw a promotion offering $500 off if you signed up for their promotions and I did. When I brought it up the next day, the sales manager refused to honor it, saying the bike was already priced well enough. The process also involved multiple unnecessary trips and a full tour of the dealership departments. Ironically, during that tour I was informed by every department, they would not even service my bike because it was an Indian motorcycle, despite spending days trying to sell me on how great their service department was. The finance manager was honestly the best part of the experience and very friendly, but by that point I was already frustrated. I also questioned a $1,300 service-related charge on the paperwork that nobody could clearly explain. Overall, the experience felt disorganized, misleading, and overly focused on upselling instead of customer service. Not so happy my husband was talked into getting a new trike he wanted and older one But anyway his credit isnt horrible and he got an e trembly high rate he is paying just about 100 hundred thousand for a trike motorcycle that cost 36 with a trade I get add on like tax and these other but to end up paying he got railroaded. I went in wanted them to do something maybe fix the loan but it did t happen so I got 2 cup holders instead the guy who tried to (help) I just am not impressed with the service . Ive called and emailed daily with every thing recorded they never called back and ignored all my emails after the sale... they say youre family ,furthest from the truth..they suck dont give these assholes your business. They inspected my bike monday the 13th and i rode home after them making me waiting again . They passed my bike after it threw an engine code. They corrected and i got home and noticed my front halo led running lights had 3 leds out on 1 side and 2 on the other. And they didnt even swap them out. Im calling tomorrow to make them honor me something more i want service done else where because i cant trust they did any of it. This place is hustling new customers with gaffed up prices and lousy incompitent at best service and sales team with excuses for how its okay to fuck someons over and around. Do not buy a bike from this place or anything else. youre not treated as family youre treated like a victim ready to rob. Just came down to check out the inventory and see the various options that were available. The inventory simply amazed me, as they he'd multiple floors of inventory, and 5 different showrooms that showcased over 400 bikes. In addition to the inventory I was also amazed by the staff they have. Ran into multiple people that bent over backwards to try and really went the extra distance to make this purchase unforgettable. Purchased a brand-new bike from Octane Harley in Billerica at the end of April--paid in full, including registration, which I was assured would be completed within 1 to 10 business days. I guess I should've asked if they meant business days this year. On day 10, I called to check on the status and was told it would be another 3 days. Three became seven, seven became "we're still working on it," and every person I spoke with--whether it was Josh (Head of Sales) or a rotating cast of managers--had a different, conflicting explanation. No consistency, no ownership, just a lot of passing the buck. Because the bike wasn't registered, it had to be trailered home from the dealership--not exactly how you expect to bring home a brand-new Harley. Worse, I was not able to take it to Laconia Bike Week, a trip I made clear was important at the time of purchase. The lack of registration made it completely unusable. After returning from Laconia (without the bike I bought specifically to ride there), I followed up again. Josh got defensive on the phone, then transferred me to a manager--where I was placed on hold for 56 minutes before being disconnected. When I called back, the moment they realized who I was, the call mysteriously dropped. Twice. Another week passed before I was told the registration would be FedEx overnighted. "Overnight" turned out to mean "arrives 10 days later." This was easily the most frustrating customer service experience I've had with any major purchase. The bike may be solid, but the process and the people behind it were anything but. Poor communication, zero accountability, and not even a hint of urgency. Would I buy from Octane again? Only if every other dealership on the East Coast closes first. read more

And watch that purchase form as they will add unreasonable charges like "Documentation: $699". They may also add fictitious "Dealer Prep: $1299" on a used bike. No way, as these are ridiculous charges on a $6K used bike. The sales force is a group of well-trained, professional thieves. You will be better off going somewhere else. First off I love my new Heritage! I had a great experience with my salesmen! I have wanted a Harley my entire life and at 52 I said I was getting one! Where things went south was the financing (and yes I know I signed the contracts and agreed to everything). Why did I have a bad experience? It is in the numbers, I understand that they need to make money but the MSRP on the bike I bought was around $24K I put down $2500 in cash and put $4,000 on the Harley card. That's $6500 I put down yet my loan was still $29K. Sure they made it fit my monthly budget but my loan should have been for around $18K. Where did that other $11K come from? That is kind of sketchy! read more

By far the worst HD dealer in the US. They've paid yelp multiple times to have my reviews removed, so I keep coming back. This is not a serious dealership by any means. They deploy the online inventory trick of showing tons of bikes, and when you show up in person, its always.. "ooh it just sold! how about this brand new 30k bagger instead?!". Check HD forums, theres multiple accounts of people driving hundreds of miles with a trailer to pick up a bike only to get the bait and switch. And it doesnt end there. The service dept will not pick up the phone and will give you the run around about everything. And if you go inside to just pick up a tshirt or a quart of oil, you will be harassed by sales people to buy a new bike. One time I was getting full press on getting a "wheel and tire package" while in line at parts. He told me "oh, you dont change your wheels every season? oh well you must be a new rider". LOL. I bought a 22 RGST there. I never owned a Harley and I don't have any friends that own them. The sales men knew I was green. The bike had bars and risers on it already it was done up sitting right when you walk in. Long story short I walked out with a 45k loan. They wanted more but I was trying to leave and they dropped it down. They made me think I got a deal on it and said don't tell anyone how much they took off the price. Every single time I bring the bike to service with a problem I leave with a new problem. These guys are horrible. I could go on and on but just do your homework before you go. Shame on me. Tried to purchase a pre owned advertised on their website. Advertised at $10,999. They had no interest in selling me the used motorcycle and increased the price to 15,995 before tax. The doc fee was $699, the service fee was $1,295, and there was a $3,000 fee explained to me as a fee they charge for all non Harley brand bikes. I left disappointed they would advertise a motorcycle with no intention of selling it, trying to get me on a new Harley instead. Please reconsider going to this dealership, reward honesty, and take your hard earned money elsewhere. My appointment to see the bike was at 14:30 on May 9th 2023. The advertisement is attached, I spoke with assistant manager of the store and a sales person. The price of the 2021 Indian scout bobber used ended up exceeding the price of a brand new 2023 after fees at two local Indian dealerships. However, the last time we were in there, they were quite pleasant to me and to my boyfriend at the same time. They probably still thought that he was the one shopping, and not me. Lol We did meet with the wonderful new sales rep there. Very knowledgeable and quite a sweet guy. I would definitely recommend that if you're going up there to buy any vehicle, new or used, to ask for him. His name is Arcand. Cool name. I really wish they had their pre-owned vehicles a little more accessible than they do. I mean, do they really think somebody's going to ride down the stairs and out with one? NO!!! Wish I paid attention to these other reviews prior. First off, the reason I went there was on their website was a really good price for a Street Glide at 14k. I called in prior to driving an hour and they said that one might of been sold but there are plenty of others priced in that range. Fast forward the hour drive and there are absolutely no other street glides or road glides remotely close. Apparently other people have fell for this tactic as well as it seems to be a common phenomenon at this location. Fast forward a few more hours, a street glide catches my eye, priced much over the $14k but I really did like the bike and took the hit price wise. Do the whole wish list thing, had a few things marked down I wanted for the bike and was coming back in a week to pick up the bike. I reached out a week before coming to pick up the bike about things I wanted to change on the wish list, at no point did anyone get back to me about the things I wanted to add. Oh they also said they'd be able to trailer the bike to me, then said they couldn't since no one else down in Rhode Island was getting a bike delivered. The whole experience just felt like a façade, they could care less about their customers, they even boast about how they sell the most bikes in New England. At no point was any financing discussed until the day im coming to pick up the bike when I'm already psyched for the thing then they wanna drop a ridiculous APR. OHH! and I get the bike home, take off the saddle bags to inspect it, back tire is filthy, thing was never detailed like they said it would be! Who knows if it was even actually inspected. read more

They probably watch the Wolf of Wall Street at their sales meetings and can repeat every line. It was truly an interesting show to watch this gang in action. I can't believe someone would fall for this crap. Then again Jordan Belfort (The Wolf of Wall Street) came along way after PT Barnum. Here is how it works. 1.) The salesperson jumps you outside in the cold, or sun if its nice, to get the jump on the other wolves. They are ALWAYS at the exits. 2.) They don't have any pricing on the bikes, or on line. BIG RED FLAG. So they can make it up as they go. Screams we are looking for suckers. LIKE YOU. 3.) Your new buddy (the sale person) gets every bit of personal information so that they can figure out how much they can fleece you out of. 4.) Next the second stringer (the sale manager) arrives with your new buddy with their MSRP about 6 thousand more than every other dealer and tells you they already took 3 or 4 thousand off. Additionally, they will trade you for your bike about 6 thousand below KBB or Edmonds.com. While charging you the highest interest rate possible. YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE RATE ADVERTISED. Which you are at every other dealer. a. Someone should tell these guys there is a thing called the Internet where an educated buyer can look this stuff up!!! 5.) The Sales Manager leaves to see if he can make the deal better. Your new buddy takes you into his confidence and tells you that you can get a better deal just hang in there. 6.) This act goes on for about an hour or so until they get near the MSRP price listed on the sales tag at every other dealership. UNLESS YOU ARE STUPID ENOUGH TO FALL FOR THIS SCAM. 7.) If your still there now they bring out the BIG GUY. THE BIG SALES MANAGER. He tells you we beat any deal. He takes another grand off and only stiffs you a few thousands for your bike. Of Course he puts what's called the time sensitive close on it. That offer is only good till 6 o'clock tonight. Now I know where all the time-share sales people from the 80's went. Thank god I didn't bring the trade-in with me. I would have had to call the police to get it back from this place. Circa, Wilmington Ford now a retail parking lot. I WAS there about 2 months ago trying to trade in a sportster s that I bought for my daughter. I was trying to get a deal done. I got a approval for the loan. I drove down there twice and had to keep calling. The sales manager told me that he would call me back with in a couple of days, but never got a call,email,or text. This has happened to me with this dealership 3 other times in the past 10 years. Same thing was said to me every time. (So we dropped the ball this time). So, I called them again Saturday. Talked to a Tim in sales. He told me he would call me back that day to let me know how the financing went. Again no phone call. So I waited till Tuesday and still nothing. Now I know how much the financing was approved for. There wasn't enough in the finacing to cover it, but if they just called me back I would have told them that I was willing to put down 15k on the new bike. I garentee that they didn't want to bother with me, because they probably thought that I didn't have any money to put down. I am just fed-up with these guys. Harley stock is way down and there sales are way down. Summer is almost over and these dealerships are going to be dead. Iam going to Meredith Harley this weekend with a bank check for 15k. I know it will get done,and if I need a cosigner then my wife will. This dealership doesn't care what I have to say, but I want people to know what happened. read more

We set out to this Harley dealer to keep an appointment to purchase a 2022 vivid black Tri Glide with a little over 500 miles on it for about $31K. Drove over 2 hours to get there with cash in our pocket. A kid brought us upstairs and showed us a Red 2021 CVO for $49K. He stated they had 450 bikes and he had to find the one we were looking for. Never found it, jerked us around looking for it, and finally admitted they sold it on June 1st. So why were we at an appointment to purchase it on June 4th? Obviously the Bait and Switch! We were compensated with swag bags with garbage trinkets which we gave away to a guy who got scammed buying a bike by financing he didn't approve. He brought the bike back for his money back. RUN from this place! Nothing but a huge SCAM! Don't bother wasting your time even going! We will be contacting the MA Attorney General, BBB, and the FTC. Not right! read more

The salespeople jerked me around with prices for a new bike for two hours before finally telling me about $3000 worth of hidden fees (who knew that assembling the bike wasn't included in the first two hours of negotiations!). This after I been very clear about what I wanted to spend when I first walked in. Nonetheless, I ended up buying a 2017 harley 883 from these folks. They said they would install passenger pegs... it arrived without the pegs, and I had to call to ask them to be sent, and then installed them myself. Wouldn't have minded not being told the bike had been laid down if the paint job covering the scrapes had been halfway decent, but the PAINT WASHED OFF in the first rain! They hadn't even bothered to buff out the rust. Steer very clear of these folks. I will certainly never be taking my bike to them to be serviced. read more

Saw a 2019 Low Rider on sale during their Blowout Special. Contacted them and made appointment to view, to purchase, the upcoming Saturday. After confirming availability and appointment, they sent a pic of another one, different color and a couple of thousand $$$ cheaper... I conveyed not interested... I was only interested in the one advertised. The Friday before the appointment, @5:21pm, (they close at 6pm), they called to confirm the appointment. I showed at 10am, when they opened, and surprise no surprise... the bike wasn't there... of course the wanted to show me the one I said no to. The Sales Rep indicated unfortunately the bike was sold... "sure it was"... I may of been born at night, just not last night. They call that Bait and Switch... beware of unscrupulous tactics just to get you in door thinking they could talk you into something other than advertised. Lastly, while i was waiting for the Sales Rep to find out where the bike was, I overheard another Sales Rep with another customer trying to dissuade him from the model he was interested in. He was interested in the Electra Glide, the Sales Rep was pushing the Street Glide... very similar but not what the customer asked about. Just another shining example of pressure sales tactics.... Needless to say, I'll never do business with them or the other dealership they own. read more

Have you ever felt that the Candid Camera TV crew was going to come out of the shadows to tell you that you've been pranked? That was our experience yesterday at High Octane Harley Davidson in North Billerica, Massachusetts where we experienced a good old-fashioned bait and switch. The scam was nothing but deception and incompetence, and it is shameful that such a debacle should occur in a Harley dealership, for it undermines the American-pride branding Harley has built up over the years. High Octane Harley-Davidson of North Billerica pulled a bait and switch on us, and defended it until the end. Told us the trike we were there to see was probably just sold, maybe that morning, so that the salesperson who reached out to us didn't know. Turns out the bike was sold last month, so even though the salesperson knew we were driving two hours to see a very specific trike that wasn't there, he decided to let us make the trip. Funny enough, they set us up with a young salesman who we thought was taking us to see the trike. Instead he pointed (literally without speech) to an older trike with many more miles and $20K more expensive. (Not much effort on the "switch" part of things.} He told us he didn't know where the trike was...how could he when there are over 450 bikes in the dealership. Please people, if you're going to pull a bait and switch, at least put an experienced salesperson on it to finesse us. You can't make this stuff up. read more

This place is the worst. They don't answer there phones. My father bought a bike from this place while he was dying of cancer and they never dropped his bike off to him. They then lost the bike for months and when they did finally deliver it they forgot to install a windshield. So they took the bike back to install a windshield and it took 8 months and lost it again. Now my dad has past away and never got to drive his brand new bike. We told them that we wanted to sell it and they only offered $9000 for a brand new bike with 0 miles. Terrible business and customer service showed no empathy for my family's situation. Basically it feels like they slapped us in the face. Bobby made the purchase experience very laid back and easy; he knew the answers to all of my questions. I was able to buy a bike the same day due to the hard work of the staff and especially the business manager,Laurie. As she took the time to make the paperwork very easy and had an answer for every question. I never had any actual dealings with them, other than on the phone. Yet they call me 2-3 times a week because I inquired about a bike. I live 2 hours away, and I work a lot. It's not easy for me to get there. They even set up an appointment for me, "just in case", which I never made it to. Now they keep calling to try and "reschedule". Reschedule what?
