I want to like this place. I want to love it. However, much I may want to, I simply can't. They seem to be able to just miss on everything, and believe me, I've tried enough of their food to know. The meatballs taste only of garlic. I love garlic, but don't want to taste only garlic when eating a meatball. Whole wheat pasta is good for you, I'm sure, but tell me if that's what you're going to use. I'm not a big fan. Spinach in lasagna is like cheddar cheese in lasagna. You can, but it ceases to be lasagna. A friend had a pizza that she said came out raw. Try going to their web page, and you get some Japanese male model thing, or an outdated menu. Even the goat cheese fritters, which were good, were thrown off by the marinara served with them. I don't know how they manage, but no matter how good the dish, they manage to throw it off. We really like the margharita pizza!! We usually get our food to go though because there is limited seating and its usually packed. There are a few tables outside though if you get luck and the weather is nice. read more

A friend and I went here to try it out the other day for lunch. I got a sandwich and a salad and he got a slice of pinneapple and ham. The sandwich and salad weren't that great. My friend said his slice was okay but just covered in butter. Not a good thing in my opinion. The atmosphere was okay. The guys working had the TV playing 70's Rock and there was a Pac-Man table. I really wanted to break out in a version of the boss's Glory Days. I think the glory days of this place may have passed. Also the tables were dirty. read more

The buffalo tenders and spinach were good. As far as the pizza goes, I think I'm on a lonely island here. I'm sorry but I've got to say it- the pizza was NOT good at all IMO. Maybe I'm a pizza snob since I'm originally from NJ/pizza capital of the world, but it's obvious from reading all the rave reviews on here that y'all don't know good pizza. :-/ My husband is from Memphis and agreed that it was not good. The service was great and we will be back for the appetizers and such, but not for the pizza. read more

Had a couple of their pizzas years ago and just remember them being ok. Obviously it didn't make me rush back. Tried the Italian sub today and would say that it was ok but nothing great. Won't make me rush in for another. The guy working did recommend the Cuban and maybe I should have listened to him. The "Italian" was really a mushroom pizza sub. Meat, red pizza sauce and mushrooms lightly baked in the oven. I'd stop back in but it just doesn't seem like anything special. read more

By far the worst pizza I have ever tasted. I don't think I've even had a frozen pizza this bad. Toppings are flavorless and placed under the cheese making it very soggy with the cheese sliding right off. The crust is like cardboard too. So disappointed. read more

Our favorite go to place. Only pizza where our dogs don't get the crust! Favorite is Margarita but the cheese bread with marinara can be a meal in itself. Wish the place was larger but they will deliver to the pub next door. Even if we didn't live in HPT we would still be regulars. read more

Today I enjoyed a large single slice of Pizza Valentino. It absolutely was the most delicious pizza I have eaten anywhere in the U.S. And Italy. The flavors were diverse and complimentary to each. The caramelized balsamic vinegar, and goat cheese really stood out. The appearance also enhanced the pizza. read more

The best pizza in Memphis in my humble opinion. The pepperoni pizza is basically perfection. The BBQ chicken and cajun chicken area also really good, but I do think the pepperoni is their specialty. I am not sure what their secret recipe is, but I think it may be the crust, which is just outstanding. Great atmosphere--a true pizza joint. The only caveat I would offer is that it is a little pricey, but not too ridiculous. It is basically $1-2 more per size, compared to, say, Memphis Pizza Cafe. read more

The pizza is good but it is really expensive. I went by the menu prices posted on urban soon. My mistake. One large supreme, one large pepperoni, and one small cheese and the total was over 51 dollars. If I had eaten in drinks and tip would have put my bill close to seventy dollars. I tried this place about two years ago so it might've gotten better since then. I enjoyed the pizza. It was better than your run of the mill fast food pizza place, but not as good as some of the other places in town. I wasn't a huge fan of the crust, but it was decent. If you live in the High Point Terrace neighborhood then this is a great place to get your pizza. read more

We have lived in High Point Terrace for about 4.5 years now and this is the first time tried HPP. And gosh, we are glad we did. One of the main reasons we were reluctant to try this place is their long wait times and crowded space. If you order pizza in the evening, which is when we go for our neighborhood walks, be prepared to wait for at least 30 minutes. Also, we have a 1.5 year old toddler who likes to run around and with the compact space in this pizzeria, it was never much an option. So we have always shied away from going to this pizzeria. But today we called our order ahead of time and ordered a large "Loaded" pizza. The crust size is just perfect. I am a stickler for desserts and I bought a carrot cheese cake which was amazing. HPP easily ranks in the top three pizzerias in Memphis. I only wish they could reduce their wait times, increase their space, so they can accommodate more people. This is a neighborhood gem tucked away in one of the best neighborhoods in East Memphis and I am proud to call it home!! read more

It's a small place but the pizza is great. The servers are very sharp and helpful. I love that I can sit outside, weather permitting. I understand that they are adding more dishes to their menu. Can't wait to try. read more
