What a nice bakery. We enjoyed a nice sandwich here and enjoyed a fritter, danish and donut. The fritter was our favorite.

October, 2024. Everything was great in this Bakery except my Cinnamon roll. By great I mean ambiance and friendly people. The roll itself was dry as can be. Maybe it was a bad batch, but for five bucks I would have expected more. No prices posted. My guess it's that way so it won't scare people away. I tell you what, if their coffee doesn't give you a jolt, their prices surely will. But, after all it's California. The night before, at another establishment, I paid $24 for a hamburger and a beer. When I paid for that I laid down two twenties and the server asked me if I wanted change! I sure do want change. It's time for a change. Quick Tip: The Cinnamon roll is labeled as such. But what the little sign doesn't say is that the roll you just bit into has raisins in it. I prefer it that way, but someone who doesn't is sure going to get a surprise.

Friday morning 9 am and Just passing through, so stopped for coffee and grabbed an order of their coffee cake as well. Unfortunately they were all out of apple juice, ran out of forks, no napkins to be found, and the servers were not so friendly. It was busy but also happened to be one of the few places open at this hour. $9 and change for coffee and cake. The system is also a little confusing if you've never been here. Order pastries on the right and coffee/pay on the left. The sandwiches on the menu sounded delicious but we didn't order. The coffee was eh, and the cake was too big to eat without a fork. It was moist and reasonably tasty. The cake sits atop a layer of baked apples and cinnamon. The 2 pcs in the photo is one order.

Very cute little shop. Came in for breakfast and coffee after waking up extra early to soak in the nearby hot springs. We got there at about 7am. It was slow but very quickly picked up with lots of people coming in. We got the coffee cake - so fresh it was still steaming hot as it was being served. It was very moist and the apples at the bottom were a welcome surprise! We also got the cold brew, which was tasty. The people that were working were friendly and welcoming. It wasn't cheap, but in a town as remote as this one is, that is to be expected. Overall, this was a cute spot with good options and I'd happily return.

Very good coffee and Persian Roll-slightly different take on a cinnamon roll. Friendly service. Small seating areas indoors and out.

I am guessing that most folks in Bridgeport take long…read moredrives to stock up on a majority of their groceries from nearby towns (Mammoth Lakes to the South or other towns further north). This store is a very critical stop for anything you'd need in between big shopping trips out of town. It has a good variety of touristy souvenirs, pantry staples, grocery items (meat, dairy, some produce), and items you'd find at a hardware or drug store. If you are in town for a fishing trip and need supplies...if you are passing through and want to pick up some snacks or goodies (try the Bridgeport Coffee Roasters coffee beans--they are delicious!), then this is a great stop for you.

I tend to love shopping at these local markets when visiting smaller towns in the Eastern Sierra because they typically have great local goods, fun merchandise, quality local charm and character, and lively local operators who are happy to see you there. We popped into this shop in search of water and some ice cream novelties, which we certainly found, but beyond that, it was pretty bare bones and basic. The shelves were also pretty sparse, and the selection a bit thin too. Usually you can find just about anything you need in one of these stores, but unfortunately I'd say that you'd need to visit here and Ken's to guarantee you'll find what you need and may even find yourself driving to the next town for certain things. The shop is good in an emergency moment, but could be much more.

We went there both for dinner and breakfast, and one thing became very clear very quickly: the portions here are absolutely gigantic. We learned fast that sharing was the smartest strategy unless we planned to spend the rest of the day recovering from a food coma. The breakfast burrito deserves its own monument. No exaggeration, that thing could probably feed four people comfortably, and somehow it was also excellent. Huge and delicious is a dangerous combination. The night before, we had enchiladas that were also very good and satisfying after a long day of driving and exploring. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the whole place had an easygoing mountain-town charm. They also serve wine and beer, which made dinner even more enjoyable. One of the best parts of the café is the outdoor garden seating area. It is really lovely, peaceful, and has partial views toward Mono Lake, which makes the experience feel even more special. Overall, this place felt warm, relaxed, and genuinely welcoming. Great food, enormous portions, beautiful outdoor seating, and exactly the kind of spot you hope to find on a road trip.
