I don't think there is another Lottery location for miles, as I've driven past a few times to see a line out the door. What I saw inside were 2 significant lines - one for the CA Lottery Machine and one at a dedicated counter. A few tables were then occupied by folks scratching away. There is a separate gift shop room that is very nice and they do sell branded clothing in the main room. And even with the Lottery traffic, it seemed pretty easy to buy a sandwich at the Deli and have a seat. The folks here also seemed very pleasant and organized. Tip: While you're in the area, drive on down the road and pay a visit to the very cool Markleeville General Store.

I know that very little that we do is private, and I know we are tracked, but to know that me driving out to Woodfords to get a lottery ticket and the internet accessing my location via GPS (of course, I had my cell with me!) and then actually asking about my experience? This makes me sick. But I have to say, I've been out there numerous times and everybody's having a good time. The restaurant is cookin' busy and the people are happy. The place itself is spotless. But mostly, what I think is the star of the show is their employees. Every person I have interacted with has been just awesome. Always smiling, kind and patient, and they don't mind answering questions. So despite the fact that I think it sucks that I was tracked and asked, I don't mind saying that I like the place a lot.

The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. They also offer specialty coffees, Italian sodas, and an impressive selection of desserts, making it hard to leave without a treat! The restaurant is charmingly decorated and has a cozy feel. Whatever "at home issues" you're having, keep it at home! We have nothing to do with your personal problems. They made me feel welcomed and made me want to return to this fine establishment.

Even on the rare occasion when my drink wasn't quite what I expected, they've always fixed it quickly and without any hassle, which really says a lot about how much they care about their customers. What stands out the most to me is how they treat my mom when she stops in for her coffee. They're always so patient and kind with her, and that warmth means more than I can really put into words. Great coffee is easy to find, but a place that makes people feel valued and cared for--that's something special. Coffee on Main truly does that.
