The phone agent told me I will be responsible for the full price bill next month, which I said was fine. You have to wonder what company does not allow cancellation at corporate store. It was clear she was following a script, asking me all sort of demographic information that was not necessary for canceling an account. I eventually asked her to skip the script which she did. She informed me that I would have to pay for the entire billing cycle, which was three additional weeks. I asked her to cancel today and prorate the bill. She said she could not. Tamiqua was wonderful and I give her full credit however Spectrum continues to be a greedy corporation, not really interested in positive client relations.

I have had spectrum service for nearly a year and I have not been without Internet or phone. If you are in the round rock area and you are obtaining spectrum service, I highly suggest you only work online and have your equipment delivered, because visiting this branch is frustrating and literally a waste of time. They make it a pain to cancel your internet service. The process takes 20 minutes or more on the…read morephone which is ridiculous. They will ask you: "Why are you canceling?" And if you say you are switching to another company, e.g. Google Fiber, they will waste 5 minutes of your time trying to convince you why their internet service is better than the other company. The simplest answer you can tell them is: "I'm going off the grid and don't need internet anymore." Even then they will try twice to sell you a different internet package, and a bundled package. Even when you tell them "I don't want any services from Spectrum" they insist on reading their upsell script to you. I had pretty good internet service with them while it lasted, but the cancellation process is beyond annoying.

We had to figure out the cause ourselves. The second time, a phone was incorrectly ordered with a new line instead of the existing one. He dismissed us, told us to go to Best Buy, and made no effort to solve the confusion. He avoided eye contact and seemed indifferent throughout. In contrast, other staff here explain issues thoroughly. I would avoid dealing with this employee if possible.
