For a smaller location of this regional chain, this spot packs in ALOT of flavor and experience! While visiting family nearby, I stopped in for some lunch last week. The staff were friendly and created a welcoming experience. The taco prices are just as amazing as the quality - could get three street tacos for $12. I decided to spend a little more to try a couple flour tortilla based and plant based tacos. And they were sensational. I enjoyed this new dining experience at a two top table tucked beside the restaurant outside. Will definitely go on my repeat list! read more

EDIT: Asked both line cooks at pickup window. First one ignored me, second one shooed me away with his hand. Since they opened, you could pick up your online order by going to the pick up window. They now make you wait in the order line which takes forever. Of course they don't bother to tell you this when you walk up to the pick up window, they just awkwardly avoid eye contact, and I guess hope you'll figure it out on your own. read more

Love the food, but I'm really disappointed to see the small plastic to-go bags still being used. They're totally unnecessary and could easily be replaced with paper bags. I want to keep supporting this place, but the avoidable plastic waste is getting hard to ignore. read more

This place has more of a healthy feel to it. Grilled chicken, salads, burrito bowls. It doesn't feel as greasy or heavy as your typical taqueria. Its like a healthier version of Chipotle. read more

I just paid $16 for guaranteed, by far, the worst super beef burrito I've ever had, and I'm almost 80. It was supposed to be their top of the line with everything in it - guacamole, sour cream, cheese, etc...It had none of that. It was just a huge amount of rice and beans, with a teeny amount of totally inedible, rubber gristle carne asada. That's it. Do yourself a favor and go to Lucinda's up the street for a cheaper and a 100 times better burrito. We thought we'd try it again after a few years of our last disaster there years ago. 1. No greeting when we came in. This was our first time in here and we were looking at the menu and no one at the counter said anything. 2. When I checked in there was a discount of $1 off when you checked in, the girl at the counter said she never saw that before?? So why do you have that for checking in? The place was clean just packed customer service. 3. We were pretty hungry after doing amazon deliveries, and it's about $12 something for the burritos. Pretty much the same price at certain places where we live. The burritos were done I kid you not 5 minutes after we paid. Not as big as the burritos on the other side. Surf and turf is what we got. More beans and rice, than anything. The meat was very little at the bottom and a couple of shrimps. I felt like it was more of a bean and little shrimp :/. The flavor was good but more beans and rice than meat and shrimp. Doesn't come with chips and salsa you have to pay for that and the chips, most were stale. read more

Stopped here on our way to the Children's Museum. It served its purpose - we got something to eat and weren't hangry anymore. Wouldn't call it Mexican, but hey, it's Mill Valley. With Mill Valley prices... ;-) Staff didn't seem very enthusiastic, but at least they were kind to the kid. Definitely a plus. Would I come back? We picked up some burritos for lunch today and they were delicious. I meant to order the surf and turf bowl, but ended up getting the burrito with a whole wheat tortilla. Guess I was too tired and hungry to mention I wanted the bowl. I didn't regret it though. It was flavorful and the carnitas tasted fresh. There were a good amount of shrimp and plenty of black beans and rice. I also had their soft tacos recently and they were just as good. I got fish, shrimp, and chicken with a side of rice, beans and chips and salsa. Each taco was loaded with ingredients and very satisfying. The price point is a bit high, but well worth it. Service is fast and there is plenty of parking out front. read more

Our office staff frequents High Tech Burrito for lunch. It's fast, delicious and staff is friendly. We also do periodic catering for our staff meetings. Everybody comments on the great food. Last time I couldn't find the receipt and had to ask for a replacement. They were quick to respond and sent the receipt right away. Highly recommend!! read more

I decided to try out this place one time and I love this Mexican place in Mill Valley so much! There are so many different food options that it's just hard to choose what to get! I always get the bean and cheese burrito and it always fills me up. Just today, I tried the salsa from here and it is absolutely amazing! It's very spicy however the flavor is just too good! I am planning also to try some more new menu items, but I will get more items in my next order. The restaurant has improved each time ordered, which is amazing! Kudos to the great service and management! I do think this is one of the best places for Mexican food in Mill Valley and I will definitely be ordering takeout here again! This is a hard review for me to write because I really want to give the place one star. I pick up lunch for a company every Tuesday. I placed the order and I pick it up. We ordered $300 worth of food. I did not personally eat any food but the staff liked it. My one star is based solely on how I was treated at the restaurant. I always arrive early wherever I go. I asked that the order be ready at 11:30. I got there at 11:20. When I went in the woman behind the cash register asked me if I'd like to order. I said, I'm here to pick up an order. I told her I was early and gave her my name. No acknowledgment, nothing. Slowly, my order came out and was assembled in boxes in the front of the restaurant. At one point I asked the man assembling the food if I could start taking items out to the car and he said no. Before everything was assembled he told me I had to take a picture of my food. I found that strange. I ordered the food in my name. I'm picking up the food. I'm not a delivery driver so I was confused by that. So I went to the car and got my phone to take a picture of boxed up food. When he was finished, he told me I could take it out. This is where I'd like to repeat that I pick up food every Tuesday. This is the first time that I was not offered help to take food out to my car. Every other restaurant I order from Sol Food, Pacific Catch, Boo Koo, Dave's Jones Deli, Magnolia Park Kitchen, Starbird Chicken and Blue Barn have all helped me to my car. I was parked right in front of High Tech. Literally the spot in front of their front door. I always tip 20%. So the guy packing up my order knew by my receipt that I'd tip 20%. It's a company that I get lunch for on Tuesdays. If they want to order from High Tech again, believe you me they won't be getting 20%. read more

I typically no longer give reviews for food. I feel most service and food quality and portion sizes have gotten much much worse since the pandemic. I was very happy to receive a nicely made burrito from THIS location! Not every location is the same. The burrito was suprisingly made to order, and all ingredients we perfectly portioned. If I pick up a burrito, and you stack it with filler I will never return. Examples would be, filled with rice (or beans), very little meat, not enough cheese or salsa, a small spoon of quac or sour cream. The ingredients should be portioned properly, every time. It's not hard, I make burritos all the time. Consistency is key to customers patronizing business such as this. Chipotle would be an example of an "F" grade. Most workers (for some reason) at chipotle, can't figure out the burrito (or bowl) formula, even with their efficient kitchen and tools. This is my go-to food pickup when I'm at Safeway next door! It's reliable, fast, convenient, clean and has plenty of healthy options. Their ordering app is super easy and so I always place an order for pickup while I am grocery shopping so it is all ready for devouring by the time I am done at Safeway. I've never had a problem with the service but my interaction is mainly limited to just going up to the register and asking for my takeout order. There was one time when I accidentally ordered a bowl instead of the burrito version (fat finger on the ordering app) and they were super nice and changed it for me quickly. Food wise -- I think it is pretty tasty. I actually think their breakfast burritos are one of the best in Marin. Is it authentic Mexican? No, but to be honest, I am usually ordering their sushi burritos so clearly authenticity is not really my priority haha. I love their Miso Salmon burrito -- it was a great consolation prize for my pregnancy cravings for raw fish. However, once raw fish was back on the menu for me -- I eagerly tried their California Roll and Ahi Tuna rolls, which were not bad but can't hold a candle to the Miso Salmon bright flavors of cucumber, mango and whatever other goodies are in there. I've also enjoyed their Baja Shrimp, Fajita, California, Cabo Surpreme and Yellow Veggie Curry burritos. read more

They love to overload you with beans ... so if you are like me and not a fan of tooting it up on a hike and not in need of fiber then I would tell them to not add so much.
